Still In Love With You

Chapter 30- Hold Me, Daddy

Ch. 30 / 87 Sep 17, 2024

Logan

The day had been pretty windy. So it was no surprise that around midnight, while Sophie and I laid asleep, it began to rain. And it was not going to be an easy storm. Sophie sighed as she laid sound asleep on her stomach. She looked so peaceful, so beautiful. I leaned down, kissed her shoulder, as I slowly trailed my hand down from her back to her waist. She sighed, stirring lightly, making me smile. I slowly trailed my hand down to her thigh, and rose her nightgown to her waist, exposing her laced underwear. She looks absolutely sexy.

It poured down hard. I could hear the rain beginning to pour down harder. A few minutes after, I saw the first lightning, followed by the thunder soon after. It was a faint thunder, but still, close by. By the end of the third thunder, Nathan screamed. "Mommy! Daddy!"

"Nate!" she whisper-yelled, throwing the cover off of her body. Sophie and I jolted out of bed and ran to his room. She quickly opened the door to his room and ran to his side. "Mommy," he yelled again as another thunder ripped through the night. "Nathan...Nathan, baby, I'm here." she engulfed him into a tight hug. He looked so frightened, it made me heartache for him. I slowly closed the door, and went to his other side, and took a seat next to them.

"Hey, buddy. It's ok. We're here, ok?" I said slowly, running my hand softly on his back, trying to comfort him.

He quickly let go of Sophie, launching himself into my arms. It threw me off, but it felt so good to hold him under these circumstances. I hugged him tightly, running my hand up and down on his back to soothe him. "Hey...hey, it's ok. I'm here, buddy. I'm here. It's just a little thunder. It will be ok." he was shaking uncontrollably. He couldn't help but tighten his grip on me until the thunder ceased.

I glanced at Sophie, who even after these circumstances, still looked so damn hot. Fucking hell...can you blame me? It was seven years man...well, technically four years without being able to touch her. I still remember going to see her in California four years ago. She was sexy back then too.

"Hold me, Daddy...please, daddy...don't let go." he tightened his grip, hugging me tighter as another storm ripped through. "Baby, it's ok. We're both here. We won't let anything happen to you, I promise." Sophie ran her fingers through his hair, speaking in a sweet soft tone.

He laid his head on my shoulder, hugging me as if trying to wrap his little body all around my torso. "He's never heard thunder like this before. It's his first time hearing thunder so close," she explained, smiling softly. I could hear the concern in her voice.

I reached over with my right hand, cupping her cheek. "Baby, it's ok. You're both safe with me. I won't let anything bad happen to either one of you, I promise." I tell her, taking a long sigh. I see the lightning again, and I brace myself for it. Soon as the lightning begins to rip through, I hug him tighter. Holding his head steady, and kissing the top of his head.

The thunder and lightning soon subsided, but the rain still poured down pretty hard. Nathan soon loosened his grip on me, and I realized he had fallen back to sleep when he suddenly snort.

I slowly began to slide down, until I was flat on my back, with him on top of me, sound asleep. Sophie giggled as she watched me struggle. I chuckled, grunting lightly as I felt his little body become heavier. "Man, what are we feeding this kid? He feels heavier asleep than when he's awake." I say making her chuckle. "He's heavy? You're like a rock when you sleep. Your body weighs tones when you're sleeping." she says making me chuckle.

We somehow managed to lay him down, but he still gripped onto my t-shirt, unwilling to let go of me. Every time I moved he'd say the same three words again. 'Hold me, Daddy.' and I mean, come on... How can I let go when he was being so darn cute, right?

I'm not sure when I fell asleep, but when I finally woke up, I was hit by the heavenly smell of bacon. I laid on my back, with my right arm behind my head, Nathan was still laying down on my left arm, with his legs and arms curled in a fetal position. I slowly got up, went downstairs, and saw my girl cooking and singing in the kitchen.

I smiled as I watched her swaying her hips, singing to Selena Gomez songs. She looks absolutely adorable. I placed my forearm on the wall, leaning my body against it. She turned, sensing my presence, and blushed when she saw me smiling. "Hi," she said shyly, tucking a loose strand behind her ear. I went over, engulfing her in a tight hug, and kissing her sweet lips.

"Good morning beautiful," I said before kissing her again. She sighed, and turned quickly away from me, "oh, no, my bacon." she squeal, taking out the strips of bacon just in time. I chuckled, watching her frantic, and helped her finish cooking. I reached over as she cooked up some eggs, grabbing two mugs off the cabinet, and prepared a coffee for her and one for myself.

By seven-thirty, we woke up Nathan and sat him down to eat. I love seating down with my baby and my girl to eat. I can't explain the joy it brings me, I'm just really happy to be in this house with them, though I wish we were in our home, the one I build especially for her and with the thought of forming a family one day. In such a small amount of time, I've fallen deeply in love with my family. I love them so damn much.

Sophie was taking longer than usual in the bathroom getting ready today, so, Nate and I sat at the kitchen island, ready to go. I was sipping the rest of my coffee, and reading the news on my iPad while Nate played one of his games on my phone, "Ok, I'm ready. Let's go." Sophie came down, wearing a loose green-button up, with black leggings and boots. She looked so beautiful. She was struggling to strap her watch, I went over, helped her put it on, and kissed her lips.

I grabbed my keys, and briefcase opened the door, and gestured Nate to follow me to the car while Sophie grabbed her stuff.

She looked a bit disoriented. I looked at her pensively as she scurried around looking for something. "Soph...what are you looking for?" I asked, chuckling, making her turn around nervously.

"I...um...I can't find my phone." She said making me laugh. I'm not sure what was going on in her head. She had her phone right in her hand.

"Baby, you're holding your phone," I said squinting my eyes, wondering if everything was ok.

"Oh...right. Let's go then." She said awkwardly, grabbing her bag, and getting it out towards the car.

I have a feeling there's something she's not telling me, and if there's something wrong... I definitely need to find out what it is.
