Sophie
"Grab it carefully, like this, and snap the picture. Got it?" Nathan smiled as I showed Kenzie how to use my camera. She snapped a picture of Logan taking a big bite off of his burger. She giggled, as Logan moaned in pleasure as he indulge in the taste of his food. He smiled, crossing his eyes, and making funny faces at her. She was pretty good at it too. I have a feeling she'll be a natural at photography.
We had gone to the park to allow the kids to have free time. They needed a break, big time, from this stressful day.
Did I want to go home and rest? You bet...but my baby comes first, and I need to make sure his mind and is at ease from all the tension he underwent today at school. Logan and I sat on a bench and let them run wild, playing in the park's playground. They were having such a blast. They did everything from playing on the swings to sliding, and going through the monkey bars- with Logan's help, of course.
After they tired out, we bought them cotton candy and walked for a bit, while the sun began to set. Amber had called me, to tell me she was heading this way, but I had a bit of a talk with her while Logan had pushed them on the swings. I let her know where we were and promised to take Kenzie home right afterward.
Lexie was stuck at home doggy sitting Charlie, "Mommy, can we go pick up Charlie before we go to dad's house?" Nate asked as he took a big chunk off his cotton candy. I smiled and nodded, making him smile. "I don't see why not," I replied, and see him giggle as Logan continued to make them laugh with his silly facial expressions. "Maybe we can get some clothes while we're there so we can spend the night?" Logan added making my eyes go wide.
I don't know why I haven't moved in with him? He's been staying in my house for over a month now, without complaint. Most of his clothes and essentials are now in my place, but I know he misses his house...maybe...just maybe, I might consider his offer of moving in with him. Maybe when his mom's house is done being remodeled, I will move in. For now, I just want her to have her own privacy when Derreck is over.
He looks my way, hopeful of a positive response from me. I sigh, and smile at both, McKenzie smiles, rocking her feet from under the seat. "I........um....fine. We can spend the night at the other house." I respond making both cheerful, "yes!" they both say in unison as Nate stands and does a silly happy dance making McKenzie laugh.
When the sun was fairly gone, and it started getting dark, we made our way to McKenzie's house. She had fallen asleep on the way over there, so Logan had to carry her in.
We made our way to our house, picked up clothes to spend the night, picked up Charlie and his doggy bed, along with a few chew toys. W made our way back to the car and drove to the other house. His mom was happy to see us. She immediately engulfed Nate in a tight beat hug, kissing him all over his face. She had been cooking up a storm for a luncheon catering she will be hosting tomorrow, and like always...she had made extras.
Nate and Logan went for the extra mini chocolate cupcakes she had leftover and stuffed themselves with a few.
I needed to take a nice long bath to relax. The day had been both exciting and stressful. I let the boys have their fun as they made their way to the media room to play video games and watch a movie.
I filled the tub with hot water, bubble bath soap in milk and honey, dropped a bit of vanilla and brown sugar bath salt and waited for the tub to fill.

Logan
I must have fallen asleep through the middle of the movie. I was completely alone in my seat when I felt my phone vibrating. It was a text from my boss reminding me about his arrival this weekend.
Derreck was throwing a gala for our firm this weekend. I had already picked up the perfect shoes and dress for Sophie and a tux for Nate. I can't wait for that night. I will be auctioning a few of my drawings to raise money.
I confirmed with him about the time he will be arriving and made my way upstairs to check on my girl and Nate.
I made my way to Nate's room and knocked, opening the door slowly. "Hey, buddy. What you got there?" I asked as I went inside and saw him with a small box with different things inside. "It's mommy's treasure box. You wanna see?" I smiled and made my way over, sitting on the edge of his bed facing him. "Wouldn't mom get mad if she sees you going through it?" Did I ask, but honestly? I wanted to see inside as well.
"Maybe. But really wanted to see her stuff," he says pulling out a black velvet box that looked an awful too familiar. My heart felt a peck of emotion as it took me back to our high school year.
I had bought a smart bracelet set for her and me, along with a heart-shaped lock bracelet specially made for us. The lock bracelet opened with the key set on my necklace, which I still have as well. The round pendant on the smart bracelet glowed each time I tapped on my bracelet and vice-versa. It didn't matter how far apart we were, if she ever missed me, all she had to do was tap twice on the smart bracelet, and it would send a signal to my bracelet, making my bracelet light up. It would be my sign, letting me know she was missing me. Believe me...I was tempted every day. I fought the urge to tap that bracelet on my hand so many times. Which is why I had to take it off and leave it in my safe.
I took the bracelets in my hand and ran my thumb softly over them. I had huge smile from ear to ear. Nate got on his knees, placing his little hands over my shoulder. "Mommy always used to wear them. She said stopped wearing them because she didn't want them getting scratched." I smiled at his statement and placed the back in the box.
I stood up and looked at him, pointing towards my room. "Wait here. Let me show you something. I'll be right back, ok?" I said, making him look at me with a puzzled expression on his little face.
I ran to my room, which honestly was just right in front of my door, and made my way inside. Sophie was just getting out of the restroom. She had her bathrobe on, with the big S for Spencer engraved in gold thread. She was slowly drying her hair with a towel, and had her feet in those big fluffy slippers I had bought her.
"Hi, baby," she said as I quickly wrapped her in my arms, kissed her lips, and then made my way to my safe inside the closet.
She followed right behind, probably thinking I'm up to something. "Logan, what are you doing?" she asked, in her sweet soft voice as she came inside the closet. I opened my safe quickly, and took my black velvet box out, grabbed her hand, and dragged her along with me. "Wait, Logan? Where are we going?" she asked frantically, as I pulled her to Nate's room. My smile only grew bigger when I went inside and saw Nate trying on her bracelets.
"Nate? Baby, what are you doing with my box?" she asked softly, smiling at him. She sat next to him, eyeing his little hand as he fiddled with the lock bracelet. I opened my box, going on my knees in front of him. "Check this out, buddy," I said getting my bracelet and necklace out. I placed both bracelets on my hand, took hers and placed them on her wrist.
I grabbed my necklace and let him see the key. Then I took it, placing the key inside the hole on her bracelet and twisting it. The bracelet, for the first time in seven years... Unlocked. He gasped in admiration as he saw it open.
He eyed us with awe and smiled as I grabbed her hand, and told him to tap my bracelet twice. His eyes went wide, surprised at the flickering of the bracelet's light. "Wow. That is so cool," he said, grabbing his mom's bracelet and tapping it twice. He gasped as he sees my bracelet light up the same way.
"Awesome. I love them, daddy. Can I have one too, please?...please, please?" Sophie smiled, cupping my cheek and kissing me on my lips. I wrapped my arms around her, placing my head on her chest. I closed my eyes and took a long sigh. Those small gadgets, along with the tattoo on our arm and the half heart shape on the inside of our ring fingers were a reminder of the oath we had once made to each other... Together forever, no matter what.
"We can arrange that. How about we go for a little shopping tomorrow? I mean, if it's ok with mommy?" I looked at her, she gave me that look of 'why are putting me in this situation'
She smiled and looked at Nate, "baby, but, dad has to work tomorrow. And..so does mom. How about on the weekend?"
"Actually, my boss already gave us the day off. We'll be using the rest of the week to organize the gala this Saturday, remember? Why don't you take a day off and join us? It'll be fun baby." she sighs and kisses my forehead. "Ok. I guess a little shopping will do us all good. I need a few things as well anyway. So yes...we can go tomorrow." Nate gets up, jumping on the bed excitedly.
Sophie runs her hands through the bracelets with a smile, whispering the phrase inside. "Sophie and Logan, together forever." time have only served us to become stronger, and our love deeper than before. I love this woman...and I can't wait for her to be my official Mrs. Spencer.
