Roxanne
I was so mad at everyone. It seemed everyone keeps giving me their back, no matter what I do. Having Sophie back in our lives has destroyed everything I had and worked for. The friendship with Dylan and Troy and the chance of me finally being with Logan have been tampered with. Now even my best friend had turned on me, getting me a whole damn week with no job, seriously?
What the hell am I supposed to do? I have a few days before my rent is due, and I only have enough to get by this month. After I pay my damn rent and bills, I will have only two hundred dollars left in my account. God, I am such an idiot.
I should have never made Troy and Dylan mad. I let my anger get the best of me. I've been on edge ever since Logan told me he and Sophie were back together. I was sure he and I had a chance, we were spending time together with all our friends every day. We were such good friends and he was even affectionate with me all the time. Greeting me with a hug every time, and never mind when I'd sit with him, he would make me laugh all the time.
Why the hell did it all have to change? Why did she have to come back? I've been sitting in my apartment all day, in my pajamas, binge eating junk food, and watching stupid romance movies on Netflix that is just making me depressed.
I surfed through the app, trying to watch something that had nothing to do with a stupid love story, and decided on just watching Z Nation for the third time. My phone rang, making me grunt in frustration. I glanced at the screen and scuffed as I see Steven's name on the screen. I picked it up and was ready to blow off on him. I hate him. I don't know why I keep talking to him, knowing I want nothing to do with him.
"What do you want, Steven? I told you to fuck off. Why do you keep calling me?"
"Rox, I'm just trying to fix things ok? I know I did you wrong. You hate me, I get it. I was a jerk, but just let me fix things. Give me a chance to do things right." he's pathetic. He must be kidding me if he thinks he can fix the damage he caused me. "No. I want you to leave me alone. That's what I want."
"But what about the other night? You said you loved me, you told me you wanted to make it work, and you were going to give me a chance." he was right, I did say those things, but I don't know why I said them. I was drunk and having a bad day. Needless to say what had happened between us the night when we went to the resort. I slept with him out of anger because I saw Logan and Sophie in the lake being intimate. It was a strike to my face after all the good times' Logan had spent with me.
Then again, I was pissed off, sleeping with Steven again after I saw how lovable he was being with his son and Sophie. Why can't Steven see that? He's nowhere near as affectionate to me and Kate. I want the fire and triumph that Logan and Sophie have for each other. Kate's father has never even had a clue about her existence, despite her being around and the obvious resemblance in their eyes. He's stupid, or maybe he just doesn't want to admit to anyone because his reputation would be tampered with.
His playboy days will be over, and no girl would see him the same way.
"Look, I'm going to the auction that's happening tonight. I know you were eager to go. Just, give me a chance to prove to you that I can change... Go with me tonight." I had to think about this. I do want to go, I want to go so bad. But it was only by invitation, and I didn't get one. Because Logan had stopped talking with me, and both Dylan and Troy have been distant with me. But I was not going to make it easy for Steven. It's going to be tough for him if he ever wants to redeem himself with me.
"Why should I go with you? I'm the least interested in you. Why should I accompany you?" he chuckles, and I can just picture his stupid smile. He was a very attractive man, and I do love his smile, but what he did to me was unacceptable, unforgivable. "Because.., you know you still love me, after all this time. I know you were trying to make me jealous with Logan and Aiden but in the end... You know it's me you really want. And I just so happen to have an extra invitation. What do you say?" I grunted at his remark.
I hate to admit, he's right. If I have to give up the idea of Logan, I know I can find someone else. I know Steven is trying, I never wanted things to be this bad between us. It just did, one bad decision after another just threw us into a whirl of hate and lust. We can't be together, because he's a whore. I can never take him seriously, and for the same reason, I have made the bad mistake of sleeping with his friends because I purposely wanted to hurt him.
"Fine, but you better not embarrass me. I swear I will take off if you start with your shit." he cheers over the line, making me roll my eyes, "I'll pick you up by seven in the evening. See you then baby." he says making me grunt. "I am not your baby," I add making him chuckle.
"Ok, ok. See you in a few hours. Get all pretty for me, ok?" he says, I hang up before he can continue. I was excited about this, but I wasn't about to show him my enthusiasm.

Sophie
I was a complete nervous wreck. My hands were clammy, and my heart raced at a million per second.
Logan held the small of my back as we entered the grand hall. It's been years since I last stepped into my parent's vineyards reception where the big events happen. The place looked spectacular. It was so elegant, and the food look so delicious. Right as we entered, Mr. Thompson greeted us, "Logan, my boy. Sophie, you look beautiful, honey. It's good to see you two again." we had a blast during our lunch meeting yesterday. He was such a gentleman, and so funny.
He reminded me of dad. I'm sure if they ever met, they would hit it off right away.
"Mr. Thompson, good to see you use. You're looking good in that suit sir." Logan added, making Mr. Thompson chuckle.
"Not as good as you with such a beautiful lady in your arm." he smiles, winking at me, making me blush. The night was spectacular. Logan introduced me to so many of his colleagues he had in New York while interning for the firm out there. There were tables with the items being auctioned, but my eyes were mainly on a beautiful pair of pearl earrings with a necklace set. It was so pretty. "So, how does it work? You just place your name on here and how much you bid? Or just the name? I've never been to an auction, to be honest." I asked Logan. He smiled, pulling me by my waist, and placing a kiss on my shoulder.
"The auction is anonymous. You simply go to the desk, ask for a bidding number, and each time you want to bid on something, you write the amount and number. Come on, let's go get one." he says, pulling me towards the desk. He grabs a number for himself, and one for me. Though I wasn't sure if I had enough to bid against so many lawyers, most of these men were pretty wealthy, I doubt I could ever out-bid any of them.
"Don't worry about it, baby, bid as much as you want, I can pay for it if you want?" I looked at him a bit bothered. I didn't want him to think I was out to spend his money. I know how hard he works for it. "I mean, it, you need to get used to the idea that one day soon, you and I will have joined accounts. What you make and do will be ours, and my money will also be yours. So, don't look at me like I'm crazy for suggesting it." he says before I can utter out a single word.
"Hey, Logan. Here you are, buddy." Steven says from the back of us, making Logan smile and turn towards him. "Hey, you made it," he says joyfully. My stomach churned as I see who is by his side. "Good evening, everyone," Roxanne adds, making me grunt inwardly, but I wasn't going to make a scene. I smiled politely and greeted her as well.
"Good evening," I replied making her stare at me. Her eyes boar at me, making me feel awkward. "So, bidding on anything? I git my eye on that cool painting over there. Did you do that one, Xan?" Steven asked Logan. He rarely calls him by his middle name, unless he was feeling extremely excited.
"Yeah, that one and a few more. What do you think?" he says, pointing towards the paintings. Logan was an amazing artist. He was very passionate about it, though he rarely had time to paint. "Cool, I'm gonna go get me a number to bid on it. See you guys in a bit. By the way, you look beautiful, Soph." he adds, making me smile.
"Thanks, Steven," he says, holding Roxanne tightly against him, and smiling. "See you, buddy," Logan says, grabbing my hand, and kissing the back of it. "Come on, babe. Let's go see what we can take home today."
I wasn't sure how the night would be. Certainly, having Roxanne here was a bit awkward and made me feel uncomfortable, but everyone else was extremely nice here. I had to keep in mind that tonight was about supporting Logan and the firm he works for, not me. I was going to try my hardest to keep positive and out of her way.
