Daniella couldn't control the rage that was eating deep into her, her heart was thumping hard against her chest as she made her way to the room. She was angry that Desmond had gone to the hospital to visit them.
"That wasted bastard, Bella, I know that she is the one responsible for this." Daniella was fuming in anger as she ran her hands through her hair.
"What am I going to do now? They have told him I blocked her number." Daniella said to herself. She had to do something fast before things went south between her and Desmond.
A thought suddenly dropped into Daniella's mind, and she had to act fast. She got dressed and went to pick up the car key. Unfortunately, it wasn't there. Desmond had left with it.
"Damn it, Desmond. He's gone out with my car again. He took my car to go see those peasants!" She seethed.
"Was he doing all these to spite me?!" Daniella had to pause for a moment to question herself.
"I'm sure he is. And I'm going to show that bastard not to mess with me if she tries to do anything funny." Daniella said, realizing that she had to double her efforts in making sure that Bella and their mother don't make Desmond hate her.
She couldn't trust either of them. They were just scumbags who thought they could use Daniella for their own game, but she was going to show them she was not a pawn that could be passed across easily over a draft board. She took another car key and headed out.

In the hospital, Desmond was apologizing to her mother and sister. His mother's friend had left before he arrived.
"I'm sorry, I was not aware. Daniella didn't inform me."
"When did she begin to use your phone? What if Mother died?" Bella asked.
"I'm sorry, it won't happen again." Desmond apologized again before the doctor showed up.
"You are?" The doctor asked.
"She's my mother." Desmond replied. "Thank you for taking good care of her."
"It's alright. Come with me." The doctor said, and he followed him.
In the doctor's office, he gave him a form to fill. His mother was going to have a minor surgery, so he needed to sign as her son.
But when Desmond offered to make payments, the doctor told him that the total payments had been covered by an anonymous person.
"What do you mean by anonymous? Who could have covered my mother's hospital bill?" Desmond asked as a look of confusion settled on his face.
"I'm sorry that I cannot disclose who paid the bills, Mr. Desmond, but the person requested that their identity remain anonymous." The doctor informed him before packing up the papers he had earlier handed him to sign.
Desmond kept his gaze distant as he tried to think of anyone who would be responsible for settling the hospital's bills, but the longer he thought about it, the more distant the answers seemed from him.
"Can I at least get the gender of the person..." Desmond was already asking, but the doctor had begun shaking his head in the negative, signaling to him that he wouldn't be able to provide even the slightest detail of the person.
"I'm sorry Mr. Desmond, but the person also requested that I keep all information about them secret." The doctor said.
Again, Desmond was thrown into a whirlpool of confusion; who could have possibly done such a thing? He knew that Daniella would be the last person to render her assistance, not to talk of covering any of the expenses.
Right from the inception, Daniella was against him coming to visit his sick mother, and he couldn't fathom why.
"Mr. Desmond?" The doctor's voice broke through Desmond's train of thought.
"Uhm, thank you so very much. Doc!" Desmond said hurriedly before he got up from the chair and reached out to the doctor for a handshake. The doctor took his hand and shook it gently before releasing his grasp.
"I should go and check on my mother again." Desmond said and left the doctor's office.
As he made his way back to his mother's ward, he couldn't help the thoughts that were swirling into his head. His mother's hospital bills had been covered, but by whom?
He was about to make his way inside the ward when he heard someone call out his name across the hallway.
He turned in the direction and was surprised to see Daniella standing across from him.
"Daniella?" He called out in anger, walking subconsciously toward her. "What are you doing here?" He asked.
"What do you mean by that? I came to visit my soon-to-be mother-in-law, of course." Daniella answered with an innocent smile on her face, but that didn't change Desmond's mood. He was angry at her.
