The manager nodded. "I see. This footage clearly shows that your friend did not steal the earrings. This is the one responsible." She said, pointing at Daniella.
The salesgirl's face turned pale as she realized her mistake. "I'm so sorry, Miss. Anabel." she stammered and handed the black card back to Anabel and she took it. "I didn't know. Please don't take it to heart. I was just trying to do my job. I didn't mean to cause any trouble."
"Trying to do your job by judging blindly and even seizing her card." Stacey asked. "That's so unprofessional." She turned to the manager. "Your salesgirl has been unprofessional and discriminatory. She assumed my friend was guilty without any evidence and refused to check the CCTV footage when we asked. I think she should be fired for her behavior. She is not fit to work here."
"I understand your frustration, and I apologize for the way you were treated. We will take this matter very seriously." The manager said.
The salesgirl fell to the ground, tears streaming down her face. "Please, I'm so sorry. I was just doing my job. Please forgive me."
"You accused my friend of stealing not only the earrings but also her own card. You treated her with disrespect and refused to listen to us. I don't think you deserve to keep your job." Stacey insist.
"Stacey, getting her fired won't make things right. She made a mistake, and she seems genuinely sorry."
Stacey shook her head. She was still angry. "Anabel, she humiliated you and assumed you couldn't own a black card just because she assumed you are low class. That's unacceptable. She needed to be punished for her actions, and there is no better way of punishing her than to get her fired."
"You are not wrong. She will be punished." The manager said. "For now, I apologize for the misunderstanding and the way you guys were treated."
Anabel nodded. "Thank you. We appreciate it."
The manager turned to the salesgirl. "I will get back to you later. For now, you are dismissed for the day."
The salesgirl nodded and quickly left the area. The manager then turned back to Anabel and Stacey. "Again, I apologize for this incident. If there's anything we can do to make it up to you, please tell me. For the lady who put you in this situation, I will make sure i find her. She will pay for the damages she caused. Please feel free to continue your shopping, and if you need any assistance, don't hesitate to ask."
"Are you changing your mind about the cloth? You need it." Stacey said, reminding Anabel about the expensive gown.
"I think so. Let's get it." Anabel replied and turned to the manager. "I want to pay for that gown over there." She pointed at the gown.
"Alright, It's costly. But if you can pay for it. You can have it. It's three million dollars." The manager said and she handed the black card to him.
She swiped the card and it went through. The manager packed it and gave it to Anabel. They bought some other cloths and undies and went to checkout.
"Thank you for your patronage, even after the troubles." The manager said after they have checked out.
"Thank you."
Anabel and Stacey left the boutique and entered their car. When they got to the house, they heard noises coming from Jethro's room. He was arguing with someone.
"Who must be that?" Stacey asked.
"I think he's arguing with his girlfriend. That's her voice." Anabel replied.
