"Hey, stop right there." Daniella said as she approached her along with Desmond.
"What can I do for you?" Anabel asked, folding her hands.
"How did you manage to get inside? You want to cause more trouble?" Desmond asked.
"She's still jealous of us. She couldn't take it. I'm sure she bribed those guys to get inside."
"I don't need to bribe anyone to get inside. Without me, this ceremony will be useless. And for both of you, you guys will regret ever coming here."
"Don't push me to the wall to call security guys for you." Desmond threatened.
"You better not because if they come, both of you will be the ones to get kicked out." Anabel fired back.
"Who do you think you are?" Daniella asked. "Just because you are sleeping with high-profile people, you think you can rub shoulders with us. Better know your place."
"You said you got the one billion dollar contract for him, right?"
"What business do you have with it? Don't even think you can stop him from signing." Daniella stated.
"Instead of begging me, you are ranting. So ridiculous."
"Why will she beg you when. she's the one that got the contract." Desmond said.
"Someone that doesn't know anything about business claimed that she got a contract for you, and you believed her?" Anabel asked.
"So you are the one who knows everything about business, huh? If it was not that you were employed as a janitor, you would be jobless now." Daniella said.
"At least I'm working, but your Fiancee is not."
"Because she's pregnant. A situation you will never dream of." Desmond defended Daniella.
"What if I'm currently pregnant?" Anabel asked.
"You wish," Desmond mocked.
"You better stop dreaming because you can never be." Daniella added.
"Silence everyone!" A tall, imposing man with a booming voice stood at the podium with his hands raised for silence. "Before we proceed, the contract between Mr. Desmond and Zacklid group will be fully signed. And the time is now!"
The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on the stage. Desmond adjusted his suit, happy and ready to be part of the biggest electronics company in the world.
"Anabel, I think it's time for you to leave in shame. I'm about to go up there and sign the contract."
"Yeah, go before we call the security guards on you." Daniella added.
Anabel smiled, and instead of walking out, she made her way to the stage. Desmond was surprised. "What is she trying to do?"
Once she got to the stage, she turned, facing Desmond's direction. "If I leave, the signing ceremony won't proceed."
"Why do you like making unnecessary scenes in anything I'm involved in?" Desmond asked. "You must be insane to think you can stop me from signing this contract. Better leave that stage and stop making a fool of yourself."
"First, you claimed to be the one that secured the contract. Now you are acting as if you are a boss, spewing nonsense at a ceremony hosted by Zacklid group. How shameless!" Daniella rattled.
"You couldn't stand seeing me prosper after I divorced you. So you came to disrupt the ceremony and embarrass me in front of everyone. I never thought you could be this vile. Using malicious ways to get back at me after our divorce. I'm warning you. My patience has its limits. Don't let me lose it. I will forgive you for your ignorance. Leave before the general manager arrives. Go back to your lowly place as a janitor and stop acting up."
"You can rant all you want. If I say you can't sign this contract, you can't sign it. I got this contract, and I can end it."
"Anabel, don't be stupid. Leave that stage!" Daniella yelled at her. Anabel smiled and picked up the contract document.
"I wanted to give this contract to you because of the love I had for you. But since we are no longer together, I don't find the need to let you have it. You don't even deserve to be part of Zacklid group," Anabel said.
"What are you trying to do? Don't do anything stupid." Desmond warns.
"Daniella got it for you, right? Anabel asked. "Let's see what she's capable of once I destroy this contract."
"Don't do what you will regret." Desmond warned.
"I regretted getting the contract. Now I'm going to destroy it." Anabel said and tore the paper into two, then continued to piece it in front of everyone. Once she was done, she flung it away as if she sprinkled flower petals.
