Pregnant Billionaire Heiress Gave Birth To Twins

Fixing wedding date

Ch. 61 / 286 Apr 29, 2026

"Are we going home now?" Daniella said to Desmond when she approached him.

"Home? When have I not spoken with my mother?" Desmond replied.

"I thought you were angry at them." She said, looking up at him.

"I may be angry, but that doesn't mean I will leave without talking with my mom."

"But she's not awake."

"I know. I will wait till he wakes up."

Daniella left, leaving Desmond in the hospital. Desmond waited till evening, but she didn't wake up. He gave Bella some cash and credited her account.

"When Mother wakes up, tell her that I came. Take good care of her." Desmond said before leaving.

Desmond walked into the room and dropped the car key onto the counter, then proceeded to remove his clothes. As he reached for the hem of his shirt, he heard Daniella's voice behind him.

"So honey, when are we going to fix our wedding? You know, it's the only thing remaining for us to be officially together."

"Wedding?" Desmond asked and turned to her. "How will you be talking about wedding when my mom is in the hospital?"

"Any problem with that?" Anabel asked. "That she's sick doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about our wedding."

"I don't have that in mind now. Can we talk about that later?" Desmond replied, and Daniella's face changed. She didn't expect that response.

"Let's talk about it now. I don't know why you are not even talking about it. Why are you being so slow and unconcerned about it? We need to do our wedding." Daniella said, pouting her mouth. "I want us to get married already."

Desmond signed,"I know, baby. I understand. I want it as well. But I want to make sure everything is perfect for the special day. Can't we just take our time? It's not something we can just rush into."

Daniella's face fell disappointedly as she looked down at her stomach with a pity face. "You want to take your time when I'm pregnant? Desmond, I'm getting bigger day by day." Daniella said with a soft, pitying voice, trying to guilt-trip him. "I don't want my tummy to be huge on our wedding day. It will be embarrassing to me, as well as you. Can't we just set a date already?"

Desmond's face softened, and he pulled Daniella for a hug. "Okay, baby. We will set a date. But can we just wait till next year? The year has ended already, and I have a lot on my schedule. My business, my mother. Let's say February." Desmond said, and Daniella pulled away from him. "What are you saying? February is far. I will be huge by then, and I don't want it."

"I know, baby." Desmond shrugged."But I promise it will be worth it. I need to take my time so we will have a wedding to remember."

"You are not listening to me, Desmond." Daniella's face turned red in anger. "I want to get married now, not next year."

Desmond signed. "Daniella, please understand..."Desmond had not finished talking, and Daniella cut him off. "No, you are the one to understand my point. I'm pregnant, and I want to get married before I become too big. Is that too much to ask?"

"It's not too much. But...you have to calm down. I don't know why you suddenly want a wedding. I'm not leaving you for anyone. We can...."

He tried to convince her, but Daniella doesn't want to hear any excuse. All she wanted is the wedding. She couldn't wait to divorce and take more than half of his wealth. She began to pace back and forth across the room. At this point, her anger and frustration were boiling over.

"You claimed you love me. You claimed you cared for me, but you never listened to me. You never take my feelings and the love I have for you into consideration."

"What are you saying? That I don't care? I do listen to you. I defend you always. I do care about your feelings. I kick my mother and sister out so you will be happy. I always want you to be happy."

"Then what is keeping you from fixing a date for the wedding? Not that you don't have money for the reception. If you really care for me, prove it by doing what I want." She kept ranting and raving, pouring her frustration and anger like a tidal wave.

It got to a point he couldn't take it any longer. "Daniella, stop." He said with a firm, serious voice. "Why are you being unreasonable? What is wrong with you?"

Daniella's eyes flashed in anger, and she turned to Desmond. "Ohhh, I'm now becoming unreasonable? Something is now wrong with me?" She asked. "You are the one who is being unreasonable. You are the one who is refusing to set a wedding date."

"I've told you when we will be preparing. Can't you have patience?"

"And I say no. I won't wait that long." She said and stormed out of the room.
