As he approached Anabel, she noticed him and leered at him.
"Hi, Anabel, How are you doing?" He greeted, and Anabel looked around, acting as if she were searching to know who he was talking to. "Are you talking to me?'
"I'm talking to you, Anabel. How are you doing?" Desmond, repeated.
"Ohh! As you can see, I'm fine. I haven't come back begging you. What do you want?"
"Please, can we talk for a moment?" Desmond asked, trying to keep his voice steady.
Anabel crossed her arms. Her gaze was cool but distant. "Talk about what exactly? Do we have any business?"
Desmond hesitated, then gestured towards her rounded tummy. "I couldn't help but notice... Are you pregnant?" Desmond asked, and Anabel let out a dismissive laugh. "So you approached me to ask me if I'm pregnant. So you came to mock me?"
"No, I didn't say so. I was...curious. I saw your tummy, and it seemed like...."
"The last time checked, I was called a barren woman. What business does a barren woman have to do with pregnancy?"
"I....I wasn't the one that said that. It was my mother and sister."
"Anyway, you have no business with what happens to me. We are divorced, and I've moved on. Why don't you move on as well? You are my past. Whatever happens in my life now doesn't concern you."
"It concerns me. You may be carrying my child." Desmond said, and Anabel frowned and took a step closer. "I left your house a barren woman, Desmond. You have no right to ask me questions about my life now. I've moved on, and so should you. And.....let's say I'm actually pregnant, doesn't that confirm that you are impotent?"
"Mind your words, Anabel." Daniella spoke up. "Desmond is not impotent, and you are not even pregnant. And... let's say you are pregnant, you will only give birth to a bastard."
"Mind your words, Daniella." Desmond got angry. "If she's pregnant, she's going to give birth to my child and not a bastard."
"Don't tell me you will get back to her if she's actually pregnant." Daniella sneered and Anabel couldn't help but laughed "This arguments means nothing. You guys are always calling me a slut, maybe you guys are right. Maybe I was cheating on you behind your back." Anabel said, trying to get on his nerves.
"So you are pregnant?" Desmond asked.
"Did you get me pregnant?" Daniella fired back. "The next time you will stalk me and ask me this nonsense question, I will show you the other side of me."
"Hey, what is happening here?" Sylvester appeared from no where. "Did they hurt you?" He added, checking on Anabel.
"No honey, they were stalking me." Anabel replied. Sylvester was surprised and looked at Anabel. He understood what was happening and switched to his acting mood.
"Hey, why are you stalking my girlfriend?" He asked Desmond.
"You are her boyfriend?" Desmond asked.
"Do you have any problem with that?" Sylvester asked.
"I have only one question for you. Is your girlfriend pregnant?" Desmond asked and Sylvester quickly analyzed the question. For Desmond to ask him, it means that Daniella was hiding it from him.
"What concerns you about my girlfriend's private life? What business do you have with pregnant women? Are you a doctor?" Sylvester asked, acting as if he didn't know who Desmond is.
"Oh, you have a boyfriend already." Desmond said.
"Ohh, you think I will remain single forever? Just forget about me and anything that concerns me. And if you can excuse us, we have important people to talk with."
