After eating, he cleared the table and went to meet Daniella. He got into the room and found her crying.
"You are crying?" He went and sat down behind her. "Are you crying because of the wedding?"
"You don't know what I'm passing through. I can't stand all the insults from my friends. They are calling me baby mama. Some are saying you will kick me out the way you kicked Anabel, and I can see it's true."
"You don't need to be listening to them. You know what? I will inform my mom, and we will fix the wedding date."
"Your mom? You know she hates me now. You can just fix the wedding and inform her later." Daniella said. She knew that Mrs. Elizabeth may not approve it.
"Don't worry about it. I will sort it out. Stop crying." He wiped her tears and kissed her forehead.
"Thank you. I love you so much."
"I love you too, baby." Desmond replied. "I will be going for Mayor's auction tomorrow."
"But......" Daniella was about to talk, and he interrupted.
"I know what you are about to say. It's not compulsory that I will participate. I'm going there to meet other businessmen and women."
"Alright. I will be going with you, right?" Daniella asked.
"Yeah, you are coming with me. Just like always."

The next day, they both got prepared and made their way to Mayor's auction venue. When they got inside, Desmond was not surprised when he saw Anabel standing by the side. She was talking with a young lady.
"Is that not Anabel?" Daniella asked immediately she set her eyes on her. "I know she's here because of you. Can't she just give up? I wonder how she knew we were coming."
"Can you let her be? Is she disturbing you? Please, don't cause any unnecessary drama here. Just let her be." Desmond said, and Daniella gave him a wild look.
"Stop talking as if I'm always the one causing trouble. She's always the one causing trouble. Why can't she stop stalking you? You guys have divorced. She should give up." Daniella said, but Desmond was not even listening to her. His attention was on Anabel. He was busy watching her tummy and her face. There were some weird changes he could see.
"Something is not adding up," Desmond said.
"What is that?" Daniella asked.
"Wait.....Does it mean she was telling the truth?" Desmond asked. He couldn't keep his eyes off Anabel. He was totally confused.
"Which truth?" Daniella asked.
"Don't you see what I'm seeing? It's like she's...pregnant. Look at her tummy." Desmond said, and Daniella observed.
Daniella glanced at Anabel and quickly dismissed it. "Oh, that shouldn't make you think something like that. She must be sick or something. You know... she's barren and will always be. There's no way she's pregnant."
"I don't know, but she doesn't look sick to me. She looks happy and healthy. Maybe she wasn't actually barren. Besides, it wasn't confirmed. We might be wrong.
"Desmond, trust me. She's not pregnant. It's probably just a temporary thing. Let's not dwell on it." Daniella said, but Desmond didn't give in to it.
"I don't know. I think I should talk to her and find out what's going on." Desmond replied, and Daniella's eyes flashed with frustration. "Desmond, why are you so fixated on this? Anabel is now your past. It doesn't even matter if she's pregnant or not. I'm here. I'm your present and future. Let's just focus on why we are here and not get caught up in what doesn't wort anything.
"What do you mean? If she's pregnant, that means it's mine. But first, I want to clear my doubt. I just want to know the truth."
"Desmond, I get that you are curious, but this isn't the time or place to dig into it. Let's focus on us and why we are here."
"Not when I think that someone is carrying my child. I need to confront her." He said and made his way over to Anabel.
