Christian
I swear it feels like it's been hours since Amy turned up here and yet she and Tom are still going at it like cat and dog. Of course, Jack is more than happy to stick his two-pence worth in. "Christian, are you really going to let your brothers speak to me like this?" Is this bitch for real? "Amy be grateful that Zoe isn't here, you'd already be out cold!" It's no lie. My sister has met Amy several times and never did like her much and now, well now she hates her with a passion.
"Zoe wouldn't have the guts to stand up to me, same as that hoe that you've been shacked up with!" Tom stops his ranting and at the same time we both seem to realize that she is talking about Molly "What are you talking about bitch?" She lets out the most annoying laugh I have ever heard before looking over my shoulder. "Well clearly your bitch of the month regrets how she behaved towards me last time or she wouldn't have walked away like a scared little bitch. She caught me off guard last time, it won't happen again."
Both Tom and I turn around and Amy's right, Molly has gone but where? I look around along with my brothers but I can't see her anywhere. "The fact that you think that Molly is sorry for how she treated you or that she walked away from you now is hilarious. Molly has better things to do than to hang around and listen to your useless shit!" Tom's protective side of Molly is heartfelt and he's only being honest. Molly doesn't give a shit about Amy nor would she walk away from her for no reason. So where is she?
Tom gives me a slight nod before walking away from us. He'll find Molly while I deal with this crazy ass."Do me a favor Amy, just get out of here." She looks offended but I don't understand why. She takes a few steps forward until she is pretty much chest-to-chest with me and I instantly want to vomit from the stench of alcohol that's coming of her. Jesus did the girl bath in the stuff before she came here.
"I'm not leaving without my children." She looks around us, maybe looking for the kids but she won't find them. She brings her right hand up towards me before taking hold of my shirt and running her hand down my chest and stomach. "Why do you keep pushing me away, Chris? Now that the hoe is gone we can work on us again. I miss you Chris and I know that you miss me too." Fuck me she has truly lost her mind!
"Amy, get off me now! I don't miss you and there is nothing in this world that would make me get back with you." She doesn't move so I help her by taking a step back. She stumbles forward a little before catching herself but then she steps forwards once more and grabs hold of me again. "Christian!" her winy voice grates on the last of my patience and I pull myself free from her. "Get off the farm, Amy. you're not to be here. you're not allowed near the kids while the investigation is underway so leave. I have stuff to get on with and I don't have time for your pathetic antics.
My words make her angry and fire instantly lights up her drunken eyes. "You will regret this Christian. I will get my kids back. You'll regret leaving me too. When you realize how much you miss me don't come running to me because I won't want you!"
"Amy if I ever go that insane that I want you back I pray that one of my brothers put me down before it happens."
"I got you covered." Jack pips up making me laugh. "Me too." Tom laughs and both Zack and Callum are quick to follow with the same words. Amy however doesn't look impressed which only makes me laugh harder. "Fine, I can tell when I'm not wanted, I'll leave." She could have fooled me. If she really knew that then she wouldn't have even bothered coming here in the first place.
"But before I leave I want my child maintenance." Ah fucking what now? "What are you on about?" She puts her hand out in front of her palm upward while impatiently tapping her foot on the floor. "It's Friday and I haven't received my child maintenance."
"So that's why you're really here? Oh, man. Chrisitan. What the fuck was you thinking with this one?" Callum is the quietest one of us all so he was the last one that I was expecting those words from right now. I have so many comebacks on the tip of my tongue but I don't say a word. I'll never regret meeting Amy because if I hadn't met her then I wouldn't have my kids and I'd never regret them but I do wish that I have left her sooner and had taken my kids with me. "You really are a pathetic excuse of a man Christian. A shit Dad and just a waste of space!"
"Stop being mean to my Daddy!" I freeze on the spot when I hear one of the last voices that I want to right now. Brody comes from around the back of me and stands in front of me so close that his back is touching my legs. How the hell is he here? I briefly look behind me towards the horse stables to see my Mom running towards us. The little bugger must have run from there.
"Brody baby, come to Mommy." Amy is all fake smiles and gentle words and it makes me feel sick. "NO!" Brody shouts back at his Mom. "Don't be silly baby come on." Amy is so far past any sense of normality that she can't even read the signs that are coming from her own son. She thinks that everything is simple, black, and white while Brody sees all the grey in the situation. "I don't want to come with you. I don't like you anymore so go away!"
I've never heard Brody speak to his Mom like this before and usually, I would be the first to tell him off for speaking badly to her. Regardless of the relationship I had with Amy whether it was when we were together or after we split up I still always instilled in my children that they had to speak to their Mom with respect. But right now after everything that I have found out and what I know that Brody is aware of now, I won't stop him or correct him. he deserves a voice here and I won't be the one to silence him, nor will anyone else.
"I hope you are happy Chrisitan, you have turned my son against me!" As usual, Amy has to blame someone else for her mess-ups. "Get off my farmland Amy or I'll phone the sheriff." My Mom's voice is firm as she comes to a stop at the side of me. Amy goes to speak but soon thinks twice about it. She knows that my mom may be in her 50s but she won't hesitate to put Amy in her place. Amy sticks her nose up in the air as she stomps her feet right before she turns around and starts heading for the back exit of the farm. There's a narrow lane there that leads to her house, it was always a good shortcut for me when I lived there and walked to the farm. It takes at least 20 minutes of the walk.
Once she starts fading out of sight I turn my attention to Brody but before I get a chance to say anything a sweaty panting Tom comes to a stop in front of me with his hands on his knees while he tries to catch his breath. "Where's Molly?" I ask before he's even standing up straight. "I can't find her anywhere. I have searched all over the farm and barns. Even went to see if she was with Lightening ."
Where the hell is she? Tugging on my leg brings my attention to Brody. "Daddy, Molly went in the trees." Huh? I think he may be confused but I will give him the benefit of the doubt. I get down on my hunches so that we are face to face. "What are you talking about buddy?" He turns a little then points towards the trees that run along the side of the long driveway. "Molly went in there Daddy. That's why I came out. I wanted to see where she was going. I wanted to go with her."
It's a very random thing to say but I don't see why he would make it up. I don't think he's lying but I still don't get why Molly would go there. "I believe you, buddy. Now you head back with Grandma while we go and see what Molly's up to ok?" He nods his head before taking my mom's hand. "Oh and Brody, no more running off from grandma or you will be in trouble." He nods again before turning towards my mom. "I'm sorry Grandma." She leans down to him smiling and places a gentle kiss on his forehead. "It's ok my baby."
They head back towards the horse stable and once they are out of hearing shot I turn to face my brothers. "Why would she go in there?" Neither of my brothers looks like they have any answers either and it's getting me frustrated. What is she playing at now?
