Trapped by Him

Chapter 189

Ch. 187 / 398 Feb 22, 2026

Damon's eyes darkened. He called out to Gloria, "Wait a minute!"

He caught up to Gloria in two steps and handed a small paper ball to her. He said fiercely, "I'll give it to you, but I still don't believe in you!"

Without saying a word, Gloria opened the paper ball, took out a pill from inside, and stuffed it into her mouth. The pill dissolved bit by bit in her mouth, and its bitter taste spread.

She continued to walk forward. As she walked, she said, "I need more of it."

Damon was dumbstruck and did not come back to his senses for a long time. He could not believe that Gloria would take the contraceptive pill in front of him.

"No problem. I'll prepare more for you." Damon added angrily in his heart, "It would be best if you were unable to get pregnant!'

Kevin was attentive to Gloria. Just as Gloria returned to the corridor, she saw Kevin walk over with a thick blanket in his hand. He asked with concern, "Luna, where have you been?"

As Kevin spoke, he covered Gloria with the blanket and said, "Alpha Patrick is concerned about you and told me to take care of you."

Gloria smiled. She looked low-spirited as she said, "I'm tired. I want to go upstairs for a rest."

"What do you want to have for lunch?" Kevin asked.

"I'll skip lunch. I want to rest. Don't disturb me at noon." Gloria walked upstairs.

Kevin mind linked Patrick, and Patrick responded right away. Kevin reported, "Alpha Patrick, Luna seems to be tired. She doesn't want to have lunch and asks us not to disturb her."

"I see. You did well." Patrick said, "Prepare lunch as usual. She will eat."

After that, he ended the mind link.

He looked at the two people in his office. "Don't you have work to do?"

Sean put his hand in his pocket. "Yes. I'm on leave today."

Stewart sat leisurely on the chair. "Let's have lunch together."

Patrick's eyes lit up. He smiled slyly. "Good idea."

Around lunchtime, two guys shouted in the president's office of the Hammond Group. "Patrick! You bastard!"

Stewart was so angry that his chest heaved. He looked at the pile of documents on the table.

Sean held a note in his hand, which read, "Since you are so free, help me sort out the documents on the table. Tell me when you are done."

"Bastard!" Sean tore the note into pieces and threw it into the trash can. "He just ran away like that!"

Patrick handed his work to his two friends and returned to Alpha's villa.

"Alpha Patrick, you're back." Kevin bowed.

"Yes." Patrick gave his coat to Kevin and asked, "Is lunch ready?"

"Yes. We prepared Luna's favorite food," Kevin replied.

Patrick nodded. "Good. Put the food on a tray and bring it to me."

Kevin was thoughtful. "It has been placed in the tray."

"Give it to me." Patrick went to the second floor with a tray in his hand.

When Patrick came back, the sound of the engine attracted Damon's attention.

Damon no longer had any authority, yet Patrick allowed him to live in the villa because he had lived there for more than ten years.

"Gloria, it's time for lunch." Patrick put the tray on the bedside table.

Gloria was surprised. She did not expect Patrick to come back at noon.

"Why are you back?" She asked.

"I haven't been busy recently. There are not many things to deal with in the company and the pack." Patrick picked up the tray. "Eat something."

"I'm not hungry. I want to sleep," Gloria refused.

"Eat something first, then you can go to sleep." Patrick was determined.

Gloria looked at the tray and was silent for a while. Then, she reached out and took it. "Okay."

Gloria ate slowly. She ate some mashed potatoes and peas and drank a few mouthfuls of mushroom soup.

"Are you full?" Patrick asked gently.

Gloria nodded. In fact, she didn't know whether she was full or not. She ate just to follow his order so she could ask him to leave soon.

Patrick tidied up the tray, but he had no intention of leaving.

He sat by the bed and reached into the quilt. He covered Gloria's belly with his warm palm, his eyes gentle. "Kevin is very thoughtful. He will take good care of you. You have to eat more for our future baby."

Gloria felt cold and trembled as if a basin of cold water was poured on her and the blood in her body froze.

Patrick was stroking her belly gently. His soft and low voice sounded in her ear, "Sleep. I'll get Kevin to make more delicious food for you tonight."

His eyes were filled with gentleness that was rare to see. His gaze rested on her belly as if looking at something precious. "May the Moon Goddess bless us. After the baby is born, I will get a painting of the three of us and hang it in the villa. How's that?"

He looked at Gloria with a smile with tenderness filling his eyes.

Gloria lay on the bed and listened to Patrick. She was expressionless, but when she noticed the tenderness in his eyes, she suddenly grinned brightly. She looked into his eyes and said, "Sure."

Her gentle tone could almost make people ignore her hoarse voice.

Patrick's eyes lit up. He stared at Gloria's face, his heart beating faster. Gloria was willing to give birth to their child! Did it mean that she would forget the past and live a good life with him?

"I need to sleep." Gloria yawned lazily.

"I'm going to the study. Have a good rest." Patrick was in high spirits as he carried the tray out of the bedroom.

At night, a dim yellow light was lit in the bedroom.

"Gloria." Patrick's affectionate tone came through as if Gloria's name had become the most touching word.

Gloria hugged Patrick gently. Her hug was an aphrodisiac to him.

Patrick's eyes became brighter, and his heart was beating wildly. He was overjoyed and called out lovingly, "Gloria."

Gloria endured his desire. She rested her head on his shoulder and allowed him to do as he pleased, her arms wrapped around his shoulders. However, Patrick failed to notice the mockery in her eyes.

At midnight, Gloria stared at the ceiling.

She was sleepless again. She had been sleepless many nights after she moved into the villa.

She could not bear to fall asleep in Patrick's arms.

Gloria looked out of the window from the corner of her eye. The iron fence was so familiar to her. The only difference between the villa and the werewolf prison was that the former was much more luxurious.

Patrick was asleep. Gloria looked at him, and her pale lips curved into a strange smile.
