"Your mother was able to grow and harvest plants and fruits. It was one of her powers. If you handle it intelligently, you can use it as a weapon too, " Niya explained as they were standing in front of an old tree.
"This tree has no leaves but I want you to try and see if you can grow some on it, " She said pointing towards the tree.
Evelyn took a deep breath. "I will try my best, "
Niya smiled. "Can you feel the tree, Evelyn? Can you feel its roots? You have to focus on the ground first. Feel the ground and the roots and then imagine the tree coming to life with green leaves, "
Evelyn did as Niya told her. She focused on the ground first. It was cold. Freezing cold. Maybe because it's covered in snow. She could feel the roots of the tree. They were weak—almost at the brink of decomposing. The tree was dry. It felt empty and weak. Evelyn wasn't sure if she could grow leaves on this.
"Picture it coming to life, Evelyn, "
Evelyn heard Niya tell her and that's what she did. The omega pictured the tree coming to life, its roots becoming healthy again and its branches filling up with leaves.
Slowly the tree started to change. Little green leaves started to sprout all over the branches, filling it up with greenery.
The omega gasped and stumbled back after the tree came back to life again. Her legs were wobbling but she was smiling at what she had done.
Keiran was beside her in a second, gripping her waist and holding her still.
"Are you okay? " The alpha asked worriedly.
"Y-Yeah, just a little dizzy, " The omega mustered up a small smile.
"Oh dear, I'm so sorry if it was too much on you, " Niya walked towards the girl in worry.
Scarlet ran to take a chair and water bottle for the girl.
"It's okay… Did I do it well? "
"You did great! I didn't think you would grow it back completely. It's surprising how effectively you used the power like that, " Niya patted the girl's head.
"T-That's good to hear, " Evelyn panted while she smiled. She felt out of breath for some reason and soon her eyes were becoming droopy. "K-Keiran, " The omega whimpered before she lost consciousness and fell back on the alpha's chest.
"Evelyn! " Keiran gently tapped on his mate's face. "Evelyn, what happened?! Open your eyes, " He said frantically but the omega was still unconscious.
"Keiran, bring her to Amelia! " Scarlett said as soon as she saw the scene. She hurriedly ran towards the clinic to make arrangements for the girl.
Keiran immediately picked up the girl and strode towards the clinic.
The alpha's mind was full of worry.
