"Evelyn, how do you feel? " Scarlett walked towards the girl as soon as she saw her.
Evelyn was gleaming. Her eyes held a shine that wasn't there before. It was obvious that the marking made a lot of changes in the omega.
The girl blushed, tucking a few strands of her hair behind her ear. "I'm feeling good, " She replied shyly.
"Luna! You're glowing! " Rain smiled as he ran towards Evelyn. "I was waiting for you to come. I really missed you. Do you feel okay now? " He tilted his head.
Evelyn ruffled the boy's hair. "I'm perfectly fine. I came here to train today, " She grinned.
"Oh, then should I call Niya? " Scarlett turned to the omega.
Evelyn nodded. "Yeah, I need her to guide me. I'm still not familiar with the powers I have. Niya knows better, "
"I'll be back with her in a minute, "
Evelyn watched her mother-in-law walk towards the packhouse before she turned her attention back to the omega in front of her.
"So how's it going with Calvin and you? "
Rain flushed. "Oh… Umm... It's the same as before… He kinda hates me, " He let out a humorless chuckle, playing with the hem of his sweater.
Evelyn sighed. "I know it's hard. I've been there. All I can tell you is don't lose hope. He'll come around. He won't be able to stay away from you for so long, " She smiled.
"I-I just don't want him to be disgusted with me… It hurts when he looks at me like that, " The boy looked down.
It was evident in his voice how down he was.
Evelyn pulled Rain into a tight hug. "Everything is going to be alright, " She whispered.
And somehow it calmed the boy. For a minute, he felt like everything was going to be okay.
"Evelyn, "
The two omegas broke apart when they saw Niya.
"I heard you are ready to train, " Niya walked up to them with a small smile. Her voice was warm, contradicting the powerful aura surrounding her.
Evelyn frowned. That was the first time she felt something like that. How is she able to feel someone's aura?
"Evelyn, is everything alright? You look troubled, " Niya asked, her face filling up with worry.
"I-I felt something new, " The girl said, still not fully understanding what she was feeling.
"Really? What is it? "
"I can feel your aura, " Evelyn breathed out, confusing Niya.
"Feel? " The witch asked. She had heard about people who could see others' aura but this is the first time she's hearing about someone feeling it. "Can you see it too? "
The omega frowned. "I guess I can but I have to really concentrate on that, " She rubbed her temple. "Your aura is strong. It has a warm feeling. The color… the color is dark blue, "
"Wow, " Niya said out loud, surprised. "Do you have any other feelings about it? "
"Y-Yeah… kind off… I feel like I can feel the depth of it. I'm not sure what it is… Your aura is deep but I can feel its end, "
At this point, Niya was amused. "This is new, " The witch said out loud. "I've heard about people who can see others' aura but this is the first time I'm meeting someone who can feel it. Even your mother didn't have this ability. And I'm confused about what you're saying about the depth, " She frowned. "I would have to research this. Can you see his aura too? " She pointed towards Rain.
"I can see the color when I concentrate but I can't feel anything, "
"Really?! What's my color?" Rain asked, excited to know what his aura is.
"Turquoise, "
"Turquoise?! That's really pretty! I love it!" The omega squealed.
Evelyn watched Rain with a small smile.
"What's pretty? " A confused Scarlett entered the conversation as she walked towards the three.
"Luna can see our auras now! Niya has dark blue and mine is turquoise! Isn't that amazing? " Rain grinned as he explained.
Scarlett turned to her daughter-in-law with wide eyes. "Really? What's mine? "
"Purple, "
"Shit!" The former luna stomped her feet frustratedly. "I was hoping for red so it can match with my name, " She sulked.
Evelyn let out a small chuckle at her mother-in-law's antics before turning towards Niya.
"What are we going to do in today's training? " The omega raised a brow.
"Come with me, " Niya replied before gesturing to them to follow her. "I wanted to see if you can control air, "
"Air? I don't think I can do that, " The girl frowned as she followed the witch to the woods.
"You can do a lot more than you think, Evelyn. Just open your mind and let your powers flow freely first. We can learn to control it after that, " Niya stopped in an open space in the woods. She gestured for the omega to come close to her.
"Expand your mind like you did last time. Think of it as a bird caged in your body. Let it free, " The witch whispered.
Evelyn did as she was told and surprisingly, it expanded to areas more than before.
"What can you feel? " Niya asked the girl.
"I can feel the ground, trees, and the animals… " The omega's eyebrows furrowed as she concentrated.
"Can you feel the air? "
"Air? I-I can't, "
"Concentrate, Evelyn. You'll feel it, " Niya circled the girl. "You are breathing it in. It flows in your blood. You are connected to it. Find that connection. You're a spirit. You're linked to nature. You can control anything that you are linked to, "
Evelyn bit her lips. She could feel the air. The coldness and thickness of it. But she couldn't control it.
"I don't think I can, "
"Stop saying you can't. You're connected to it. Focus on that connection, "
"It's not working, Niya. I'm trying but I can only feel it. I feel it flow around me like cold water but I can't do anything with—"
Before the omega could even finish the sentence she was saying, the girl felt a long blade fly towards her at the speed of light.
She felt it pierce the thick air like an arrow. She could feel the sharpness of it.
Evelyn froze as a gasp flew out of her lips. There was no time to think or do anything.
