Scarlett gasped and Rain screamed out the luna's name in panic.
The omega was frozen. Her eyes now wide and dark viridian. She could feel the blade. A few inches in front of her forehead.
It was stuck. Frozen like someone stopped the time.
The air felt thick around it. Like a wall or a brick. It made the girl's head hurt.
Her eyes widened before she gasped and took the blade, stepping back in surprise.
Evelyn leaned forward from the impact, her hand going to her chest.
She could feel her heart beating all over her body. Her blood heated up from the fear.
"I knew you would stop it, " Niya smirked.
Evelyn was too speechless to reply. She just stared at the witch wide-eyed.
"We have no time to waste with self doubts. I think now you have an idea about how it works, " She walked up to the omega. "Let's test your water powers after this, "
"Niya, that was too much, " Scarlett stepped forward. "What if she couldn't control it? That would have killed her. You scared us to death, " She frowned.
The witch froze before she laughed heartily. "Don't worry, I knew the risks before I did it. I was sure Evelyn could do it. Air control was Amber's best power. There's no way her daughter didn't inherit it. And also, if she could feel our aura's depth and temperature, then I'm pretty sure she has more control over the air than her mother, " She chuckled.
Niya looked at the girl who was still frozen in surprise. "You did good, Eve. Now let's test something else, " She took the girl's hand before walking towards the nearby pond.
"It's frozen, " Scarlett said as they reached the little pond.
"Oh, don't worry about that, " Niya shook her head. Her hand reached down to the small bag that was on her hips.
She took out a small pen type of thing and in a tap, it transformed into a beautiful wand that was double the size of it. The wand was made of wood, black colored, and polished.
"Ziloi, " She whispered and pointed her wand at the pond with a little swing.
The small frozen pond instantly started to melt and turn into warm water.
"Woah… that's so cool! " Rain said out loud.
"That's magic, dear, " Niya smiled at the boy before turning her attention towards Evelyn.
"I want to see if you can control the water. The pond now is extremely still and calm. There's no wind or anything to make any waves. I want you to try and lift a few drops of it in the air and hold it there for a few seconds, "
Evelyn took a deep breath before she nodded. "I'll try my best but don't push me in the water or try to drown me if I take some time, " She pouted, making the witch chuckle.
Niya patted the omega's head with a small smile. "Don't worry, I won't do that, "
Evelyn was a little unsure about the witch's words but she sighed and decided to focus on the pond in front of her.
The witch circled her like before. "Relax your posture. You look too tense. Your powers won't flow out if you force your body like that, " She whispered.
Evelyn took a deep breath before relaxing her body.
"Calm your mind. Try to feel the water. The depth and temperature of it. Can you feel it? " She asked and the omega nodded.
"It's turning lukewarm, "
"Good. Now try to find the connection. You're made of water, aren't you? So you're connected. Try to find it and get a hold on to it, "
Evelyn lifted her hands. She could feel it. It felt like there was a strong invisible string of water flowing out of her fingertips towards the little pond.
"You feel it, right? Lift the water, "
The water moved.
Little waves started to form on the calm surface.
"It's moving, " Evelyn breathed out, astonished by what she just did.
"Yes, now lift it in the air. Lift the water and tighten the air around it, " Niya urged
The omega bit her lips. Her hands moved upward like she was lifting an invisible object.
It looked easy but it was difficult to focus her mind on it.
The water lifted to the air like a little fountain. The omega's pupils dilated.
She held her breath as she made the air tighten around it, holding the liquid in that position for a few seconds.
It looked like a figurine carved out of water.
"You did it! " Niya beamed and the omega released the breath she was holding in.
The water fell into the pool like a shower.
Evelyn panted heavily. "That was harder than I thought. I had to control both water and air, " She said breathlessly.
"If you master controlling the water, then you won't have to use your air power to do that. I made you do that because it'll be easier for you like that now, " Niya smiled.
"That was so cool, luna. It'll be so awesome when you can control it well as Niya said. Then you'll be undefeatable, " Rain smiled wide.
"How's the training going? "
Everyone turned around when they heard a deep voice.
Keiran stared at them all with a small smile.
Evelyn was beside the alpha in a second, wrapping her arms around him and snuggling into his chest to cover her with his scent.
"Are you tired, baby? " He looked down at his mate.
The omega shook her head. "I'm okay. The training is going very well, "
"She learned to control air and water, " Scarlett smiled.
"Really? " The alpha looked down at his mate wide-eyed, making her blush red.
"Y-Yeah, "
"I never knew you could do that, " He was surprised.
"She can do a lot more than that actually. She just needs some training, " Niya stated, closing her small bag and adjusting it on her hips.
"I hope she will master all of them, " Keiran smiled and placed a small kiss on the girl's forehead.
"Let's all have lunch and take a break before continuing the training, "
"Oh, thank you for reminding me. I'm starving, " Niya rubbed her tummy before striding towards the packhouse.
"What's special today? " She asked, not bothering to look back.
"I don't know but Amelia was cooking something delicious. The smell was amazing, " Keiran smiled.
