"Derned is down, " Keiran smirked, looking at the vampire who turned back as soon as he heard it.
The alpha took this to his advantage and aimed his gun at Victor's leg.
"Turning your back at me? " Keiran raised a brow, staring down at the vampire who clutched his leg in pain. "Are you that confident with me? "
"You fucking backstabber! " Victor seethed, his glare hot as hellfire.
The alpha laughed. "This is called strategy, Victor," He bent down. "You shouldn't have dropped your guard with me like that. I'm not a saint. I play the game my enemy choose, "
Victor bit inside his cheek. He wanted to strangle the man in front of him but right now he was at a disadvantage.

"You freaking shifters are getting on my nerves! " Niya uttered frustratedly as she cast another spell that made the hunters lose consciousness.
"Tera, take care of that witch!"
She heard someone shout and soon enough a hunter charged towards her with a scream.
"Oh honey, you're not enough, "
She chuckled and threw a pinch of dust in the air. The vampire looked at it confused for a moment. It looked like the dust was glowing.
"What is this?! " He questioned angrily.
Niya gave him an innocent smile. "It's just some magic dust. If you breathe it, your heart will belong to me, "
"What?" The hunter paused for a second before he broke out into laughter. "You think you can make me fall in love with you using some stupid magic?! Pathetic! Bold of you to think I have a heart, " With that said, the hunter lunged towards the witch.
But as soon as he took two steps, his knees wobbled. The man gasped for air as he fell to the ground. He wheezed while his hand gripped his chest.
His struggles only lasted a few seconds.
Niya sighed and looked at the motionless body on the ground. "I told you… your heart will be mine… "

The witch threw a hunter's body to the side as she walked towards her.

"I understand, " Niya nodded. "I know you're not cut out for all this killing but we had no choice. Also, I don't think the fight will last longer. Victor really dug his own grave with the amount of hunters he brought, "

"You guys look out for Keiran. Keep any hunters from attacking his back. Leave Victor to Keiran. Don't interfere in their fight. I'm going to take down the hunters who are trying to attack our group, " David explained before he walked towards a hunter who was attacking his warrior.
"Get away fucker! " The alpha charged at the shifter with a scream, knocking down the man who was choking his follower in one hit.
