"Love, wake up, " Keiran gently tapped on the girl's cheek.
Evelyn whined and turned to the other side, not wanting to wake up from the cozy bed.
"Get up, baby. Breakfast is ready, "
"Want to sleep moreee… " She said and tugged on the alpha's hand, causing Keiran to fall on the bed beside her. The omega took this opportunity to snuggle close to her mate again. "Hmm… warm, " She smiled.
The alpha shook his head with a chuckle. He gently wrapped his arms around the girl and took in her enticing jasmine scent.
"There's no training today so why are you trying to wake me up so early? " Evelyn peeked at the alpha.
"It's already 10.AM, baby, "
"Huh? What?! " She sat up surprised. "I slept for that long? "
"Yeah, that's why I brought breakfast to our room. It's on the table. Eat it before it turns cold, " Keiran pointed to the food on the bedside table.

"Let's go see Rain after you freshen up. He was asking for you, " Keiran got up from the bed.

"What are you three doing here? " Keiran raised a brow when he saw Josh, Rain, and Calvin all together in the kitchen.
Rain smiled nervously, seemingly uncomfortable between two dominant betas who glared at each other. "I-I'm cooking lunch… "
"And I'm helping him, " Josh added proudly.
Calvin rolled his eyes before he scoffed, drawing the alpha's attention towards him.
"What about you, Calvin?" Keiran asked.
"I'm watching over him, " He pointed to the omega. "His wounds aren't healed yet but he still wants to cook, " He muttered irritatedly.
"Well, if you're so annoyed, you can go. I'll look after—"

"We're making chicken curry, some roasted veggies, honey chili potatoes, and veg fried rice, " Josh said and opened the dish of fried rice. "Doesn't it smell amazing? "
"It does, " Evelyn smiled.
"That's because Rain made it, " The beta said, causing Rain to blush.
"T-That's not true. Josh helped me a lot, " The omega corrected immediately.

Keiran sat there and watched as the omegas and Josh cooked in the kitchen. Calvin was behind him, quietly leaning on the door frame.
Rain and Josh told Evelyn to rest but the girl insisted on helping and they had no choice but to let her do what she wanted.
"Look if the salt is enough, " Rain extended a spoonful of curry towards Josh. The beta gently blew on it before he put the spoon in his mouth.
"Hmm… that's enough but I think it needs a little more spice, " He nodded.
Keiran heard Calvin mutter something behind him.

"The food was amazing!" Scarlett said as she finished her lunch. "You three! You all have golden hands!" She announced, causing everyone to laugh.
"I didn't do much. Everything was prepared by Rain and luna, " Josh chuckled.
"That's not true at all, " Evelyn shook her head. "Josh helped us a lot, "
"It was amazing. It's been a long time since I ate a meal like that, " Niya smiled as she leaned back on the chair.
Calvin had an uninterested expression on his face as he listened to everything.
"Rain, did you take your medicine? " Amelia asked suddenly.
The omega's eyes widened. "Oh, I didn't. It's in my room. I—"
"I have it with me, " Calvin interrupted, making everyone look at him. The beta took out a bottle of pills from his pocket and put it on the table. "Take this after you finish, " He said before continuing to eat his lunch.
"You carry it around with you? " Amelia raised a brow while she eyed the beta in surprise.
"What else can I do? He always forgets it, " Calvin rolled his eyes, not looking up from his plate.
"Wow… what a caring mate, " Keiran chuckled, causing his best friend to glare at him.

Rain was tomato red as he struggled to hide his cheeks.
For the past few days, Calvin has been taking good care of him. He couldn't figure out if it was out of pity or simply because he had to but either way, it warmed his heart.
He was over the moon every time Calvin made him take his meds and drink water. The beta followed him around to make sure he ate and rested enough.
It made him extremely nervous but Calvin being so close did make him heal faster.
"Let's play some games after this, " Scarlett suggested with a bright smile.

"We have monopoly, scrabbles, and cards,"

Calvin looked down at the boy leaning on his shoulder. His eyes were closed as he took in soft breaths.
He knew Rain would be tired. In the afternoon, he was playing cards with everyone without taking any rest and after dinner, Scarlett dragged everyone for a movie night.
The omega fell asleep before the first half of it.
"Is he asleep? "

Calvin slowly walked towards their room. He took off Rain's slippers and socks after laying him down on the bed.
The boy looked peaceful while he slept. He snuggled into the covers with a sigh. His cheeks were red from the cold.

He paused when he heard some footsteps outside. It was frantic and urgent and it seemed like someone was running towards the packhouse. The beta instantly ran towards the living room.
