"What did you say?! "
Evelyn didn't even flinch when she heard the vampire grit his teeth. The omega stood there, confidently glaring at the pair of red eyes in front of her.
Victor was seething.
How dare a woman, an omega at that, talk back to him?!
"Are you deaf now?" Keiran chuckled, amusement shining in his eyes as he watched the whole situation.
The alpha was surprised but proud that his mate was being confident.
But this wasn't the case for his warriors. They were on their guard. Their luna and alpha were so close to the enemies so it was impossible for them to be calm.
Any surprising move from the enemies and one of them could be injured badly.
"Why did you kill them?" Evelyn asked. The omega tried so hard to not show her emotions but she failed as her anger was very much evident in her voice.
"Who? " The vampire raised a brow before he realized it. "Ahh… your old pack? I didn't want to kill them, to be honest. I asked them to hand you over to me but they refused. They wanted to protect you, " The man scoffed. "Pathetic fools. They could have lived if they listened to me when I asked them nicely, " He shrugged.
Evelyn clenched her fists. "Pathetic?! They're not the ones who are pathetic. It's you! You're pathetic. You kill and use people for your personal gains. You want to use me to take things you cannot gain from your own effort. That's pathetic! "
Victor froze for a minute before he broke out into laughter.
"Honey, that's called being strategic, " He winked. The man took a deep breath, raking a hand through his midnight black hair.
Despite all of them being in the dark, Victor's pale skin had a certain glow under the moonlight. It made him look angelic but the girl knew he was anything but that.
"Haa… you're feisty and a little bit funny. I think I'm going to enjoy taking you with me, " He smirked.
"In your dreams, Victor, " Keiran stepped forward. "You would have to defeat all of us to even lay a finger on her, " The alpha spoke, his voice deep and cold.
"You think you can defeat me and my hunters? " The man raised a brow. "You still have that confidence but it's stupidity at this point, "
"We will see who's the stupid one at the end of this fight. You're not only going to be defeated but also wiped out from the face of the earth, "
"Hmm… is it so? Then let's see, " Victor stepped back slowly. He turned his head to the side to alert the hunters that were standing in the shadows, patiently waiting for his orders. "My followers and I can charge any time you want us to, "
Keiran pushed his mate to the back and stepped in front of her. "We're always ready, " The alpha cracked his fingers. "Show us what you got, "

The warriors moved to the front, keeping a certain distance between each one of them. They were creating a protective circle around their luna to keep her away from the hunters as much as possible.
"Hunters, " Victor's eyes turned dark. "Take the luna, " He smirked.
"Warriors, " Keiran said as if he's mocking the vampire. His eyes flashed red as a small smirk tugged on his lips. "Kill them all, " He ordered, his voice deep and cold.
Then there was no waiting.
Both the hunters and warriors charged against each other at full speed, crying out curses and insults.
Derned laughed and aimed for Keiran but Calvin stopped him by shooting his legs.
Keiran was busy fighting with Victor. His bullets couldn't hit the vampire as he was moving extremely fast.
Derned threw his dagger at Calvin which he dodged but it ripped his clothes and drew a little blood.
Evelyn was frozen for a minute before she collected herself. She was in the middle of all the warriors. The enemies were taken down before they could even reach her.
She frowned frustratedly. She wasn't here to stand in the middle and do nothing. This isn't what she trained for. She wanted to be in the front, beside Keiran.
The girl walked forward with determination. She took a deep breath and focused on the auras of people surrounding her.
Most of them were powerful but they weren't something she couldn't handle.
What to use first?
Air or earth?
Hmm… . Let's see if vampires like to fly…
Curses flew out of the hunters' lips as some of them levitated into the air. All the warrior's heads turned towards Evelyn who was controlling them with a small smile on her lips.
"How's the weather up there? " She asked and then broke out into a fit of giggles at her own joke.
"Let us down, omega! "
One of the hunters shouted in anger.
"As you wish, " She shrugged and then all of them fell down in an instant.
"I was checking how much I can lift in one go… and it seems like you guys weren't that much, " She chuckled. "Let's go for something big for the next one, "
Confused shouts echoed through the forest as the hunters rose to the air again.
Evelyn bit her lips. The weight doubled as she picked up more this time.
Simply dropping them wouldn't do any harm to them. She had to think of something else.
Trees.
The trees were a good option.
Victor looked up when he heard his hunters shout in pain. He saw them falling to the ground after harshly colliding with the trees.
"Hmm… ." He raised his brows. "So as I expected, you've trained her well, haven't you? " He looked at the alpha.
Keiran smirked. "More than you think, "
