The Ugly One

Chapter 35: Annoying Girl

Ch. 35 / 89 Apr 03, 2026

Aaron POV

I headed home with a smile on my face. It has been a while since I liked a girl this much! My mind was in the clouds.

I didn't know what it was about Jane, but I liked everything about her. Her smile, her witty personality, and even her sassiness. God, she was cute!

"Aaron!"

I halted in front of my front door when I heard the voice from my nightmares.

Bella fucking Davis.

"Hi AARON!" Bella yelled, then headed my way.

Ugh, fuck my life.

I was slightly irritated that Bella stopped me while I was in such a great mood from my date, but I decided to play nice. I wasn't the mean person I used to be. I am the nice Aaron now.

"Hey, Bella. Do you need anything?" I asked.

"I was wondering if you wanted to come over for dinner tonight? I am cooking Lasagna," Bella chirped.

"No thanks. I hate Lasagna," I quickly replied.

Bella's face fell. "Oh, then I will make something else for you. How about shrimp alfredo pasta?"

"I am allergic to shrimp," I lied.

Bella giggled. "What? No, you are not."

Of course she knew about my allergies too.

Okay, I know what you are thinking. Why am I so annoyed by this girl?

It's not that I hate her or anything, far from it.

It all started back in high school when I was going through my asshole phase. That was the time I met Bella for the first time.

The first thing I noticed about her was her fiery red hair. She has a cute round face with freckles sprinkled over her nose and big blue eyes. I thought she was really beautiful at first sight. I didn't pay too much attention to her because she wasn't really my type. She was shy and quiet. Most of the time, I just walked right past her in the hallways.

Then one day, everything changed.

I saw her at my friend Max's 18th birthday party. She looked like a nervous wreck among all the high school kids. She looked down as soon as our eyes met. I didn't blame her. I had a bad reputation at the time.

"Look at that cute little freshman over there. I am thinking about taking her upstairs and having a little fun," Max had commented.

"That pretty redhead? She wouldn't touch you with a six-foot pole," I scoffed.

"Little bit of liquid courage in her, and she'll be wrapped around my finger," Max commented.

In other words, take advantage of a drunk girl. How typical.

I didn't see her for the next hour, then all of a sudden, I heard cheering and hollering outside on the patio. I went outside and almost choked on my beer as I saw Bella Davis dancing on top of the ping pong table, wearing nothing but a bra and underwear.

Max saw me and grinned from ear to ear. "I AM IN LOVE!" he yelled and pointed at the girl.

"Dude...what the fuck?" I exclaimed.

"I only gave her two shots of tequila to loosen her up a little, but she decided she wanted to dance," Max shrugged.

"But why is she half-naked?" I asked.

"She said clothes restrict her movements and prevent her from reaching the maximum potential in dancing," Max said.

Fuck...this chick is crazy.

She was flailing her arms around and dancing like a madwoman while everyone else cheered on. She was making a complete ass of herself. I should do something, I thought.

I reached over and grabbed her arm.

"Hey you, where are your friends? You need to get down from there. And put your clothes back on, for fuck's sake," I ordered.

"NO!" she yelled and smacked me on the cheek.

Everyone gasped and looked at us.

Rage flickered in my brain. No one ever dared to mess with me before, let alone hit me. She must've been out of her mind.

"That's it, you are coming with me," I said, threw her over my shoulder, and then walked away. No one stopped me.

I took her inside a bedroom and dropped her on the bed. "STAY," I ordered. She looked at me angrily but didn't get up. I rummaged inside a closet and took a t-shirt out, then threw it at her.

"I don't know what the hell you did with your dress but put this on for now," I said gruffly. What the hell am I doing? I thought while watching her struggle. I should be down there partying. Instead, I was babysitting a random drunk chick.

"I don't wanna," she declared.

I was annoyed beyond belief. "What the fuck is wrong with you? Do you realize what kind of situation you are in? You are prancing around in your underwear in front of a bunch of teenage boys. What if they force themselves on you? What if I force myself on you? What would you do then?" I held her face firmly and forced her to look me in the eyes. Maybe I can scare her enough to stop acting like a lunatic.

She gazed into my eyes for a moment, then smiled. "I want you to take my virginity," she said casually, like it was no big deal.

What the fuck...

I glared at the girl in front of me, who nonchalantly decided to throw herself at me. What kind of weirdo is she?

"What the hell are you talking about?" I barked.

"I say...me and you, the handsome bad boy, should get it on. Right now!" she said enthusiastically.

Oh? Do we have ourselves an easy lay? I thought to myself.

I looked deep into her eyes, which were clouded. Hell no, she is just drunk. Besides, she just said she was a virgin.

I gripped her shoulders and held her steady. "Listen, you aren't thinking clearly because you are trashed. You don't know what the hell you are saying. So just lay down right here and sleep it off, kay?" I said and pointed at the pillow.

"N..no! I want sex! So give me sex! It's seexxxyy tiiime!" she whined and grabbed the front of my shirt.

"HEY, STOP THAT!" I yelled and tried to pry her hands off of my shirt, but she yanked it hard and ripped it in the process, exposing my chest. "The fuck, girl! This was my favorite shirt!" I exclaimed. This chick is a handful.

"Oooh abs!" she whispered seductively and rubbed her hand all over my body.

Seriously, how drunk is she? I thought.

"You need to sleep this off," I said, reaching for her, but she pushed me down and straddled me. Why is this girl so freakishly strong? I thought. I didn't want to use too much force as I didn't want to hurt her.

"You don't want me? Is it because you think I am ugly?" Her eyes were starting to water. "Is it because I have freckles?" she pouted.

Actually, I thought her freckles were adorable, but there was no way I was about to tell her that.

"Your eyes are so green. Like the forest," she whispered and hovered over me. I could smell the tequila on her breath. She is gonna have a killer headache in the morning.

"Hey, snap out of it, would you?" I said and grazed her cheeks. It was shocking what a small amount of alcohol did to a shy girl like her. I needed to get her off of me as I could feel myself get hard. I've been drinking too, and her soft skin and the sweet smell of her hair were too much for me.

"I just need to close my eyes for a bit," she had said and rested her head on my chest.

"Hey, wait. Don't fall asleep on top of me!" I protested.

But she wasn't listening. What a shocker. "Five more minutes, mom," she mumbled and fell asleep.

I slowly rolled her off of me.

Just leave Aaron. She is not your responsibility, I told myself in my mind.

I stood up and started to leave but paused. I couldn't just leave her. She looked so defenseless sprawled across that bed. If I left, she would be alone at Max's house, and I didn't trust Max. I decided to stay with her that night. I covered her with a blanket and laid down next to her. I was just gonna deal with this in the morning.

Just as I suspected, she didn't remember her unruly behavior in the morning. I scolded her for being stupid and dropped her home. She didn't say anything to argue against me. She just quietly thanked me, and we parted ways.

And that should've been the end of it. But it wasn't.

For the next few weeks, she kept staring at me and following me around the school. Everywhere I went, there she was, looking at me. I eventually got annoyed and told her to knock it off, but she didn't listen.

Then came the love notes.

One day, I opened my locker and found a note from her. Then the next day. And the day after that.

Girls I dated complained about her obsession with me. I didn't hold back and told her off several times, but she never listened. She even lied to one of my girlfriends and made us break up. How irritating.

Since then, I avoided her like the plague.

"Sorry, Bella, I am not available for dinner. Maybe next time," I said and went inside the house then slammed the door shut before she had the chance to say anything else. I wanted to go to sleep with the sweet memories of Jane in my head.
