Four of us decided to go to an amusement park. It was a nice day out, perfect for some outdoor activities.
"Oh, look! A Ferris wheel. Let's ride that. It'll be so romantic," Macie said enthusiastically.
"Booriiing!" Jake and I said at the same time. "We are riding THAT," I said and pointed at a roller coaster that looks like death. Jake nodded in agreement and gave me a high five. Ah...I picked a good one.
"Suit yourselves," Aaron said and smirked. We split up and went to our designated rides.
Few minutes after the ride was over, we went to look for Aaron and Macie, but they were nowhere to be found. So we walked around for 15 minutes but didn't see them.
"Um...should we be worried?" I asked.
"Nah, they are adults. If they are lost, that's not our problem," he shrugged.
I laughed. "Stop being a jerk and call them!" I exclaimed.
"Fine," he grumbled and called Aaron. He put the phone on speaker.
"Jake and Jane! Hurry up and meet me by the Ferris Wheel, NOW!" Aaron screamed over the phone.
Huh? What the hell is going on...
We rushed toward the Ferris Wheel. Aaron was standing near a trash can, breathing heavily. I didn't see Macie anywhere.
"What happened?" Jake demanded to know.
"Macie is missing," Aaron said.
"Huh? What do you mean?" I asked.
"She said she was going to the bathroom and didn't come back. So I asked this lady to check for me, but she wasn't in the bathroom! I tried calling too, and no answer," he said. His face was twisted into a frown.
"Maybe she got lost and her phone died?" I offered.
"No, that's not it. What should I do?" Aaron looked at us with worry.
"Let's keep looking for her before calling the police or something," Jake said and we all agreed.
We looked for almost twenty minutes. I was about to give up and suggest calling the police then suddenly saw her in the distance. It looked like she was arguing with some guy.
"Aaron! She is over there!" I said and pointed.
Aaron strode over there without wasting any more time. Jake and I followed.
"How could you follow me here, Trevor! You and I are over!" Macie shouted.
Oof...Drama! I'm all ears.
"I never wanted it to be over. I love you!" the guy named Trevor cried.
"What the fuck is going on? Who the fuck are you?" Aaron stepped in and glared at Trevor.
"Macie belongs to me, and you took her from me!" Trevor whined.
"Took her? Macie made the decision to be with me. She chose me, so take a walk," Aaron snarled.
"How did you find me anyway? We are out of state!" Macie exclaimed.
"I followed you. I've been watching your every move, Macie," Trevor said it like he was proud of himself.
Wait...he followed us all the way here? The dude is a special kind of crazy.
"You've been stalking me!" Macie yelled. I could tell she was freaked out.
An idea clicked in my head when I put the two and two together.
"Um...excuse Mr. Trevor, is it? Were you the one who threw that rock at Aaron's window and slashed his tires?" I asked.
Trevor looked at me intently. "You can't prove shit," he said.
Hold on a minute...
Did Trevor just admit to doing all those things? Well...that was easy.
Aaron moved quickly. He grabbed his collar and lifted him up. "You son of a bitch! You broke my window and slashed my tire? Tell me why I shouldn't kill you right now?
"Because it's illegal?" Trevor offered. Nice going Trevor, you are about to piss the former bad boy even more.
"Guys, please. Stop. You can't fight in the middle of the park. Aaron put Trevor down," Macie interjected.
Aaron glared at him but put him down.
"I am still in love with Macie. We were together for three years and then you came out of nowhere and started dating her. She doesn't love you. She loves me. She is just confused," Trevor said.
"That's not true! It's over between us," Macie whined.
"I don't give a fuck how long you dated her or whether she loves me or not. She doesn't want you back, so get the fuck out of here before I beat your ass," Aaron barked.
Fear reflected in Trevor's eyes, but he didn't back down immediately. Instead, he reached into his pocket and pulled out something shiny. It was a switchblade knife. Is he really planning to stab someone over a girl? Jeez.
Jake was silently observing the drama unfold this whole time, but as soon as he saw the knife, he strode over to Trevor, grabbed his wrist, and twisted it until he dropped the knife. He screamed out in pain as Jake held his hand at a painful angle.
"Watch it, you little shithead. I'll break your scrawny little wrist if you don't behave," Jake barked. He looked menacing. I remember being scared of that face, but now I find it quite sexy.
"What's going on here?"
We all turned out and saw one of the park's security guards standing in front of us.
"This idiot is harassing my girlfriend," Aaron said.
"That's not true!" Trevor protested.
"Whatever it is, deal with it outside of the park. Or should I call the police?" the guard said curtly.
"That's not necessary. I am leaving," Trevor announced and tried to walk away, but Aaron grabbed his collar.
"I am not done with you yet. Let's go," he said and dragged him away.
I looked at the guard and smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry. He won't hurt him. We are all friends," I said.
The guard shrugged. "Whatever, I don't get paid enough to deal with this," he said and left.
Jake, Macie, and I followed Aaron outside. He let go of Trevor and glared at him intensely.
"From now on, you stay away from Macie, or I will drag your ass to the cops for harassment. You are lucky I am not charging you for the damages you caused me," Aaron said.
Trevor didn't say anything for a moment.
"Please, Trevor, just leave," Macie pleaded.
"Fine, I'll leave. Don't come crying to me if this jerk hurts you," Trevor sighed and walked away.
"Boy...that was pretty dramatic," Jake smirked.
"I am so sorry, Aaron. I had no idea Trevor is so hung up on me that he'd follow me here," Macie cried.
"Still...you should've said something when all those weird things were happening," Aaron sounded annoyed.
"I guess you owe Bella an apology, huh?" I remarked. I was glad her innocence was proven.
Aaron looked at me. His eyes were dark as he remembered his confrontation with Bella. "I guess I do," he said.
