I felt like it was all my fault for creating this messy situation. I shouldn't have gone out with Aaron to spite Liliana. He was an amazing guy, and he deserved better. I hoped this situation wouldn't mess up the relationship between the two brothers.
"What are you thinking about?" Jake asked me. We were hanging out at Jake's front yard after school.
"Aaron," I said and sipped on my juice distractedly.
"You have the audacity to think about my brother when I am sitting right in front of you?" he remarked.
"It's not what you think," I said irritably. "I just feel so bad. He had been nothing but a sweetheart to me, and look at what I did." I sighed.
Jake moved closer and kissed me on the cheek. "You did nothing wrong. He is just throwing a mini tantrum because I got the best girl." his eyes were sparkling.
I blushed. I couldn't be too mad at my decision. Jake is a cutie patootie.
"JAAAAKE!" I almost spit my juice out when I heard a shrill voice calling for him.
A cute redhead frantically waved her hands and ran toward us. Her long ponytail bounced as she frolicked. Her skirt was almost riding up her butt because of the wind.
Jake's face changed from pleasant to sour in seconds. Great...is this another member of Jake Morris fan club?
"Oh my god, Jake! I am so glad to see you!" she said and attacked him with a hug. Oh hell no, she is getting cooties all over my Jake!
"Um...yeah...hi Bella. What are you doing in this neighborhood?" Jake said. He looked uncomfortable. I gave him the 'we need to talk' look.
"YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO BELIEVE THIS!" she was shouting now. "I just moved in next door to you. Isn't that awesome?" she chirped excitedly.
"Ahem..." I cleared my throat to let her know I was sitting in front of her. Or else I felt like she would keep pretending I didn't exist.
"Sorry...um...this is my girlfriend, Jane. Jane, this is Bella. She was in the same class as Aaron," Jake introduced us.
"Aww, how cute! I thought you'd never get a girlfriend, but I am glad you met a cute girl," Bella winked at me.
Okay, I like this fangirl a whole lot.
"Anyways...where is Aaron?" she said. Her eyes were glinting. "I tried to invite him for dinner the other day, but he brushed me off."
"He is not home, so you should come back some other day," Jake said.
"Okay! Well, bye, Jane and Jake. I'll be seeing a lot of you since I live right across the street. Bye!" she declared and bounced her way back to her house, which really was right across the street.
I turned to Jake and gave him a quizzical look.
"What?" he asked innocently.
"What you mean what? Who is she?" I asked.
"That's Bella Davis, who is apparently my neighbor now," he smirked.
"Yes, I got that part, you nincompoop. So what is your relationship with her? Is she part of your Jake fan club?" I was annoyed.
Jake laughed. "Hell no. She has no interest in me. She is actually part of Aaron's fan club," he said.
Something clicked in my brain. There is a girl who lives across the street who used to like Aaron?
"Oh my god, I know! We can set her up with Aaron!" I said.
Jake looked scared all of a sudden. He coughed nervously. "Yeah...that's not a good idea," he said.
I looked at him with surprise.
"I don't understand. Why not? She is pretty and seems very friendly," I asked.
"It's a long story," Jake tried to dismiss the subject, but I won't let go that easily.
"I wanna know. Tell me everything!" I insisted.
Jake sighed. "Okay, Bella seems normal at first, but she is actually a total nutcase," he said.
"That's not very nice," I gasped.
"No, you don't understand. She really is crazy. She had been after Aaron since his freshman year. She stalked him, left love letters in his locker, and even stole his jacket at one point. I am sure she has a shrine of Aaron in her bedroom," Jake chuckled.
"That's hilarious," I said.
Jake shook his head. "It was funny at first, but she got really annoying. She told everyone they were going out. She would always find a way to chase all the girls off, you know...the ones who liked Aaron," he said.
"Wow...she is persistent," I remarked.
"I am sure Aaron will move out of this state once he hears about her moving back across the street," he smirked.
"Why did she move away?" I asked. This girl intrigues me.
"No one knows. I heard something about a death in the family," Jake said.
I thought about it for a second. "Maybe he should give her another chance. Maybe she is less psychotic now?" I offered.
"We will find out soon enough," Jake yawned. "Enough talking about the crazy Bella. How about you and me take this party upstairs?" he leaned in for a kiss, but I pushed him away.
"How about no?" I said. Whatever happened to taking it slow?
"Oh, come on, Janey, you know you want me," he whispered seductively. His warm breath tickled my neck, and I shivered. Damn, it...I do want him!
"Okay, but we are only going to make out a little bit, then I am leaving," I said.
He got up quickly and picked me up.
"Hey! What are you doing? You don't have to carry me, I can walk," I protested.
"Shh...just enjoy the princess treatment," he said, so I didn't say anything else.
He pushed me down the bed and kissed me hungrily. His hands searched all over my body. Excuse me...I thought we were just going to kiss!
"Mmm...Jake, don't...we can't let this go too far," I whimpered. I tried to suppress my moans, but they kept escaping. "What if Aaron or someone else comes home and sees us?"
"Aaron is at his friend's house, and my parents are away for a business trip again. It's just you and me, baby," he lightly bit my lower lip and sucked on it. I couldn't deny how turned on I was. His hands all over my body were driving me wild.
Wait, it was just the two of us here? This was dangerous.
"Janey, are you sure you want to wait?" he looked at me with his eyes full of lust. I want to say yes so bad!
"I don't know..." I whispered.
His voice was a whisper against my skin as he murmured, "We don't have to go all the way. But I want to feel you more, can I?" His lips brushed my cheek and I could feel his breath on my neck as the anticipation of what was to come electrified the air.
"Okay," I whispered.
