My parents were fine with Aaron tagging along with his girlfriend, Macie. The more, the merrier, they said when they heard about the new additions. So off we went on our family trip alongside Jake and his two children, Macie and Aaron.
Never in my life had I imagined that I would be vacationing with the Morris brothers. Maybe I was in the twilight zone. I pinched myself to see if it was real, but instead of feeling a sharp pain, I felt myself levitate off of my seat and land with grace on the beach.
No, just kidding. I felt pain and all of this was really happening.
The drive to my grandma's house was less painful than I had expected. Lilliana didn't seem to have any problems with Aaron's new girlfriend, since she was no longer interested in him. How quickly this girl could move on!
A thought flashed in my mind. What if it was Liliana who was doing all these crazy things to Aaron just to mess with him?
Nah...no way. She might be a bitch sometimes, but she wasn't a psycho. Maybe it was actually Bella.
Jake's warm breath tickled my neck. "Aren't you supposed to be paying attention to me?" he growled in a husky voice that was only for me, and I turned to face him. He held me close, his strength enough to keep me still but not enough to hold me down.
I came to visit them at their hotel to spend time with him since I wasn't allowed to stay in the hotel with him. His crystal-blue eyes held mine for a moment, and then he kissed me.
"What are you thinking about? Is it another guy? I'll kick his ass," he said with such a serious expression that it made me giggle.
"Stop being stupid. I'm always with you," I said and stuck my tongue out at him.
"Damn straight you are." He looked pleased to hear it.
"Who else would I think about anyway?" I asked.
Jake shrugged. "I don't know...Carlos?"
"He rejected me and then ran away, remember?" I laughed.
"Technically, he never did. He ran away because I scared him," Jake said thoughtfully.
"Then I guess I still have a chance with him," I grinned.
Jake stared at me intently. "You are playing with fire here, little lady," he raised his eyebrows.
"Pfft...you don't scare me, Morris. If you misbehave, I'll go find Carlos. He is cute with his brown eyes and a head full of curls, and...mmfph!" Jake shut me up by smashing his lips against mine and shoving his tongue down my mouth. It is too easy to make him jealous.
He pushed me down the bed and hovered on top of me without breaking the kiss. I was struggling to breathe, but his kiss felt so good that I didn't want to stop. I could feel the heat radiating between my legs. I need to make him stop before we go too far.
"Wait...get off of me. We are supposed to go meet up with our parents in a few hours," I said after breaking our heated kiss.
"In a couple of hours, but not right now," he leaned down and bit my neck.
"Nn...no...Jake! We shouldn't do this right now!" I whined and moaned at the same time.
He murmured tenderly, "Who's going to stop me?" as he gently took my hand in his. His eyes were so sincere and I couldn't help but smile when his fingertips affectionately caressed my cheek.
Certainly not me, I thought as I moaned when he slipped his hand inside my bra and caressed my breast.
"I love you, Jane," he said sweetly as he leaned in ever closer and delicately kissed my lips. I felt a spark of electricity run through me that made my heart pound.
"Wa...wait...where are Aaron and Macie? What if they come in?" I whimpered.
"They won't. Aaron went out with Macie to some restaurant," he said huskily.
Just then, there was a loud knock on the door. My heart sank as I realized that Aaron and Macie had come back unexpectedly. Jake quickly jumped off of me and stood up straight with his arms crossed over his chest. His expression was unreadable as he looked at me with eyes that were filled with disappointment.
I scrambled out of bed, trying to make myself presentable again before they entered the room. I could feel my cheeks turning red with embarrassment.
"Whoa! Jake? Jane?" Aaron exclaimed. "Did I interrupt something?"
"Yes, you did," Jake growled.
"Oh, sorry," Macie said with a smirk.
I quickly ran to Jake and wrapped my arm around his waist, trying to comfort him. "It's okay, Jake. Let's just go meet up with the parents like we planned," I said softly.
Macie looked around the room, her eyes widening when she saw the disarray in the room. "Oh...I think it's time for us to leave," she said quickly.
Aaron and Macie quickly left the room, leaving me and Jake alone once again. I couldn't look him in the eye as I felt my cheeks flush red with embarrassment.
"That was awkward," I said quietly.
He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "It's okay. It's just that I was having a moment with you and I didn't expect anyone to interrupt us," he said softly.
He slowly stepped closer to me and gently touched my face. His touch was gentle and comforting.
"We will figure out a way to be alone together. Just the two of us," he promised.
And then what will he do? A million thoughts circled in my head.
He smiled and leaned in closer to me. His lips softly brushed against mine and I could feel my heart racing. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me deeply. I melted into him as the kiss blossomed and grew more passionate. He cautiously pulled away and peered down at me with questioning eyes.
"Let's go," he said.
I smiled and nodded, feeling content in his embrace, my heart still racing from the kiss.
We grabbed our things and left the room, hand in hand. His touch was reassuring and comforting, and I could feel a warmth growing inside of me.
