REJECTED; Mated To The Alpha I Hate

58: Fifty Eight

Ch. 58 / 118 Apr 29, 2025

Camillia's Pov

My eyes were fixed on the grave in front of me. I felt a deep sense of suffocation and frustration that I had never experienced before; even in death, he continued to infuriate me.

In a burst of anger, I shouted loudly, "Damn it!" and kicked the edge of the gravestone with all my might. I grabbed the bouquet of flowers that had been left there and threw them harshly onto the ground, crushing them beneath my feet as I stomped on them.

I felt a profound sense of betrayal. Everyone had mocked me, and they had all watched as she made a fool of me, but not one person had bothered to come over and hear my side of the story or offer any comfort. Instead, they all seemed to have ample time to visit this grave and lay flowers as if nothing had happened.

"You couldn't keep your nose out of things, could you?" I shouted into the empty space, hoping that his ghost was nearby and could hear the depth of my anger and frustration.

“You had to give the pack to her, didn't you?” I roared in frustration, throwing the last few flowers that were on the desk onto the ground. “If anything happens to your daughter, it’s your damn fault! She should have known better than to take what I wanted!”

My shoulders sagged as I let out a slow breath, and a wave of thoughts flooded my mind. I turned away from the greenhouse, feeling the weight of my frustration grow heavier as I walked back toward the Greenstone pack house.

My irritation felt endless. Everything had been orderly and calm while Astrid was at the Red Moon pack, but the moment she returned to the Bluestone pack, everything was thrown into disarray. I was running out of time to fix the mess. Astrid was definitely a mess and a thorn to the flesh.

Deep down, I knew with absolute certainty that I needed her in hell where she belonged, and I would stop at nothing to make that happen.

I was determined to have things my way, to ensure that everything and everyone was under my control.

As I entered the pack house, Halfdan’s voice suddenly broke through my thoughts, startling me. “Where have we been off to?” he asked. I rolled my eyes in exasperation and brushed past him without a word, my mind still consumed by the chaos that needed to be addressed.

“Are you deaf? Do you have no answers?” Halfdan’s voice followed me as I walked into the bedroom, his footsteps echoing in the quiet room. I yanked my shirt off in a fit of anger and tossed it aside before heading towards the bathroom.

Before I could reach the door, he grabbed my wrists with a firm grip, pulling me to a halt. His touch was insistent, but I wasn’t in the mood to deal with him. I shot him a fierce glare, my frustration evident in the deepening frown on my face.

“What are you doing? Let me go!” I yelled, my voice sharp with annoyance and desperation.

“Where have you been?” he asked again, his tone demanding. It was clear he wasn’t genuinely concerned about my whereabouts but was intensely curious about what I had been up to. Given the argument we had just hours before, I had no intention of sharing anything with him.

“Now you suddenly want to act like you care about my whereabouts?” I retorted, my voice dripping with sarcasm. With a swift, angry motion, I yanked my arms from his grasp.

“Why do you care where I’ve been or what I’ve been doing?” I snapped, my voice filled with defiance.

“And what will you do if I refuse to tell you? Are you going to hit me? Yell at me? Whatever your plan is, I suggest you go ahead and start it now because I guarantee I won’t be saying a word. So go on, do what you’re going to do; I’ll give you a moment.”

With that, I turned on my heels and slammed the door shut, the sound reverberating through the room. I then turned on the shower, letting the running water be a clear signal that I was indeed in the middle of taking a shower.

Through the narrow gap in the door, I glanced back and saw him waiting, visibly annoyed but appearing somewhat relaxed as he slouched on the couch.

I muttered a series of inaudible words under my breath, then began humming softly to myself, trying to drown out the frustration and maintain an act of calmness.

My strategy was to wait until he fell asleep before I came out from the shower. I knew that if he stayed awake, he would undoubtedly bombard me with questions and prevent me from leaving the house.

As I had hoped, he eventually drifted off, though it took some time. I moved quietly, carefully drying myself with a towel, making sure not to make any noise.

I tiptoed past him, taking every precaution to avoid waking him, and slipped out of the house with stealth. My destination was the riverbank.

I got into a taxi that was passing by and gave the driver my location. The second I arrived at the river bank, I looked around in search of the person I had come to meet.

Just then, my sight stopped at the sight of a man on black standing close to the water. With a sly grin, I walked over to him. The second he saw me, he shook his head, dissatisfaction written all over his face.

“You know how much I disliked waiting, Camillia,” he uttered, his voice tinged with impatience as he walked three steps away then sat on the ground.

I made my way towards him with deliberate, measured steps, and gently pressed my lips to his in a soft kiss.

“I had to wait until Halfdan fell asleep,” I explained as I pulled away slightly. “I need to be back before he wakes up; otherwise, things could get complicated.”

Though his face was obscured by a mask, I felt a wave of relief as his lips pressed against mine once more, reassuring me despite the concealed expression.

“It’s good to see you’ve managed to ease me up,” he said, his voice warm but commanding. “What needs to be done?”

I pulled out my phone and sent him a message containing all the necessary details. He read through the information quickly, a smirk forming on his lips as he processed the plan.

“I’ll make sure everything is settled once the job is done,” I said with a hint of satisfaction.

“But I need you to do this job perfectly. I want everything executed just fine. I’m determined to take revenge for the humiliation and mistreatment I’ve endured… especially from that Twerp” I added.

“Who is the target? Halfdan?” he asked, and I shook my head.

“No, Astrid,” I responded. He nodded and agreed to the details of the plan. After all, he had been paid, and it worked well for both of us.

“I won’t disappoint,” he whispered softly, pressing another gentle kiss to my lips. He then stood up and began to walk away from the riverbank. I watched him go, and after a moment, I turned to head back as well, letting out a long, weary sigh.

A wicked smile slowly spread across my face. My resolve was stronger than ever. Perhaps she should have learned her lesson about overstepping boundaries. After all, I had already sent men to attack her once. What was stopping me from doing it again?

When I returned to the room, Halfdan was already awake and waiting for me. I froze instantly in my tracks, my eyes quivering as I watched him glare at me. His expression was one of irritation and suspicion.

“What the hell have you been up to all this time, Camillia? Where have you been?” he demanded, his voice rising in frustration.

I couldn't tell him the truth, I couldn't tell him I wanted to end Astrid's life in every way possible so I ended up seducing him. That plan worked a lot of times.

“Come on, Alpha Halfdan… don't be such a baby… why don't you come over here…” I walked closer to him, my arms wrapping around his neck, a forced smile on my lips.

“I know you want to thrust into my wet walls, why don't I give it to you just how you love it.” I whispered viciously as I massaged his chest with my hand.

I was thinking it would ease his anger but I guess that bitch had already gotten into his head.

“I swear, if you dare hurt her again, if anything happens to Astrid, I will never forgive you,” Halfdan warned angrily before shoving me away from his body.

“Ahh!” I exclaimed as I staggered three steps backwards.

The intensity of his anger was evident, and it only fueled my own determination as I faced him.

I gritted my teeth, my anger boiling over as I flinched backward from his push.

“I will make sure you regret ever showing up, Astrid,” I hissed through clenched teeth, my voice a low, dangerous assertion.
