Nathan sat next to Lucifer, who was still holding both Katia and her sister Selene. He wanted to grab his mate from the fallen angel's arms and hold on to her body. Maybe he could anchor her here somehow if he was holding onto her. He knew that was impossible that she and her sister was gone. Lucifer just sat holding and rocking them. Someone had moved Aza so she laid across the sister's laps and could be close to her human and wolf sister. Theia was yelling at her mother Gaia to do something to save her daughters. Hyperion was holding onto his wife as she cried and screamed at their mother.
Cronos was pacing and mumbling something about the m'effer better be dead for good because if he isn't he will kill the son of biatch himself. What was the point in taking the twin's lives if Uranus was not here to reap the benefits? What was he missing in all of this? There had to be something, Uranus knew something that they had not figured out. Cronos knew he was up to something but could never find out what.
"Mother, can you do something?" Cronos addressed Gaia quietly.
"I may be able to but I will not know until I can inspect their bodies and see where he sent their souls." She answered with caution.
Gaia maneuvered around the people who loved the girls and approached the one holding them. "Lucifer, I mean them or you no harm. I want to enter their bodies to see what damage is done and I want to see if their souls are truly gone. If so then maybe I can find where the old idiot sent them."
Lucifer bared his fangs at her, "You let this happen. You could have protected them. You could have stopped this years ago." He was snarling and spittle was flying from his mouth. He was angry and could barely control himself. He wanted to hurt her. He hated Gaia right now for the power she wielded and did not use it to save her own blood. She acted as if she cared for the twins and was here to end this but she let that POS kill them. Torture them the entire time they argued. Lucifer felt every strike of pain that hit each of their bodies. Including Katia's little wolf. He tortured her too.
Hyperion pushed Theia behind him as did the other males with their mates. They could tell that Lucifer was barely hanging on and the rage was building inside of him. Hyperion approached slowly, "Lu, my boy, thank you for protecting my girls and trying to hold onto their souls for us. I will be forever grateful to you for what you have done for them. But Gaia needs to needs to see what she can do and Nathan deserves to hold his mate for a bit before we take her body." Lucifer still made no move to release any of them from his hold. He stared at Hyperion with red eyes full of pain.
Hyperion started to say something else when Lucifer interrupted him, "Their souls are not gone. I have them. I have all four of them bonded to mine. Katia, Selene, Aza, and Loza, are holding onto my soul as tightly as they can. That is why none of you can feel them. I will not allow it. Not until I know they will be safe and that they wish to return. If they do not wish to return, I will set their soul free in the matter they request."
The entire group gasped at what he said. Nathan slowly stretched out his hand and caressed Katia's hair hanging over Lucifer's arm while saying, "Thank you, Lucifer. Please hold her soul safe until I can prove what you seek for them. Their safety and that they will be loved."
Gaia moved slowly and spoke as calmly and quietly as she could, "Lucifer I am going to touch each of them and flow through their bodies. You are going to feel it also since you are bonded to them. Zor will keep you all safe while I am doing so. I promise I will not hurt them and Zor will not let anyone else hurt them."
Lucifer nodded his head letting them know he heard and understood but continued to rock them. Crius asked his son, Kane, "When did the three of them become so close?"
Kane shrugged saying, "I have no idea but they have always seemed to have a peculiar relationship over the years. So much of this is confusing and like a puzzle piece is missing."
Nathan noticed as Gaia worked over the three bodies she started to sway and become unsteady. He worried it would affect the life she was carrying in her body. He moved so he was up on his knees and able to hold her stable. He wondered what she was doing. How did one seek inside another's body?
Gaia could hear Nathan's questions rattling around in his head. She smiled son of Zeus was a loud broadcaster when upset. She closed his thoughts off from her and concentrated on turning her energy into white light and sending it into each of the girls. Using her energy of white light she healed what she could of the damage done inside of each of them. She then did the same with Aza. She knew that as soon as it was possible she would need to join the wolf and her human to make them one. Then the wolf could heal quicker and take over healing the human. Uranus had torn their bodies to the point that almost every internal organ was dying. He had been draining Katia for much longer and Gaia had no idea how the child last so long with him. Rhea had said that Katia was getting better. She was stronger and becoming more powerful. Seeing the shape her insides were in, Gaia had no idea how that was possible. Once she was sure she had done what she could for each of them. Gaia pulled the white light energy back into her body and would have collapsed if her son Cronos had not helped Nathan hold her up.
"Give me a moment." was all she said for a few minutes. While they waited, Lucifer continued to hold and rock the precious women in his lap. Nathan stroked the wolf's back marveling at how soft it was. Aza was a small wolf just as Katia was a small woman. He wondered if Loza was small like Selene too. He remembered how fierce Aza was when she protected Katia from him. She was a mighty little wolf and had no fear. He had heard the complete story of how she forced the shift on the twelve-year-old Katia to protect her from the Alpha she had been sold to. He had never seen a wolf-human relationship like that before.
"Ah, but son of Zeus, she is not just a wolf and human, she is a goddess also. That may be what saves the both of them." Gaia said to him in his mind. To the rest of those surrounding Lucifer and those he held, she said, " I have healed what I could of their bodies. Lucifer is correct their souls are bonded to his and he is feeding them his strength. He is doing so slowly so they are not startled by his energy being of the darkness."
Dalia could not help but ask, "Will his darkness change them?"
Gaia smiled and explained patiently, "No, my dear, I will ensure his darkness does nothing but fuel the light inside of them. Their wolves are resting and healing. Aza is slower but you all understand why. She is just as damaged as Katia mentally from the severe abuse they have endured during this life. Selene and her wolf are still healing from the last time they attempted life in the earth realm and suffered at the hands of humans that time."
Gaia had stepped back, closing her eyes, she stood quietly, while the life in her belly moved and kicked. Her belly looked as if the baby inside was trying to find its way out. Yet she did nothing but stand there quietly letting whatever was going on happen. Suddenly, four bright lights burst from her body. They flew around the group of unlikely friends and family, then two entered into Selene, another entered Katia and the last entered Aza.
Gaia collapsed and Crius scooped her up. He then looked at everyone saying, "Now we wait."
