Crael was sitting against an old willow tree with Lorna between his legs and leaning against his chest. They had not had very much alone time since he had decided to accept her as his soul mate. He needed to discuss a trip home to their realm, they were weakening and needed to recharge for a few days. Not to mention, he would like to have some alone time with his mate. Mated angels were like any other of the species with mates, they enjoyed the physical aspect of the relationship also. He did not know how his mate was going to react to having to leave for a bit. She was so protective of this group and her family. She had taken to being an angel without any problems. Her wolf seemed to enhance her angel powers and intensify her ability to use them.
Lorna was relaxed against him, eyes closed. He enjoyed holding her and placing little kisses on the top of her head. He felt her wings vibrate slightly with the shiver that ran down her spine. Lorna was still working on controlling her wings at times when she was excited. What other supernaturals did not realize is an angel's wings have a mind of their own, and the angel must be in tune with them in order to control them. They sat feeling each other's love wrapped around them and happy to have survived Uranus' attempt to take over the Earth realm. Crael smiled as he noticed Demon trying to hide behind a tree and watch them. When he had noticed the demon spying on couples, he thought he was just a creepy peeping demon until Lorna explained that he was taking notes and trying to learn. It seems that the demon is hoping that someday he will deserve to have a mate. He wants to make sure he knows how to be a good mate and treat her the correct way. Lorna and the other woman thought it was sweet. The other men wished him luck and told him no matter what he was going to make mistakes with his mate.
Lorna sighed and turned to look at him. "El, I know we have to leave for a few days and go home. I have already spoken with Mama and Dad. They will let Lorn know where we are and when we return."
"Mama was not upset?"Crael asked, ignoring the shortened version of his name she had used. He was not sure he liked it yet.
Lorna shook her head back and forth while giggling, "No, Mama told me to get going and start working on some baby grand angels for her. She said we deserve some time alone and to enjoy ourselves. Then she muttered something about preparing for things to come. Do you know what that is about?"
Crael hated what he was about to tell her and wished he could hate Zeus for this, but understood that the god was doing his best to fix an accidental situation of his doing, "My sweet girl, that is not how angels are made, and I am sorry we will not be able to experience parenthood. I would give anything to give that to you." He took her face between his hands and kissed her lips then continued, "I hate that you will not experience carrying our child and giving birth. I have tried and cannot hate Zeus for any of this. If not for him taking responsibility for his mistake I would not be here with you now."
His sweet mate kissed him back and let out a little moan before drawing back to speak, "It is okay. Mr. Zeus is a good man and he will find a way for us to have a family. I am sure of it. Until then we get to have fun practicing making a baby angel." She chuckled at the look of surprise on his face. "You do remember I was married before said husband murdered me? I do know what happens to make babies. Oh and don't think I didn't notice you didn't answer my question about Mama's remark about preparing."
Grabbing his to aware mate, Crael yelled out to Demon, "Sorry man, no more notes from us today. What I am about to do I do not want others to read about. It is no one business but mine what my mate's woman parts look like." He waved to Demon, and the two angels disappeared.
Leo jumped out from behind the tree he and Demon were hiding behind, "See my cloaking spell worked. They couldn't see us."
Demon snorted at the child, "You, they couldn't see you. They saw me just fine. You forgot to cloak me." So the little boy knew he was not angry at him, Demon tickled him under his arms."
"Ahhh, stop. I promise I will make sure you are invisible when we sneak into the room my aunts are sharing," Leo screamed while laughing. The little boy was laughing and wiggling, trying to get away from his friend. Demon was always patient and kind to him. He never got mad at him for anything. Most times no one did except for those who hated him and wanted his powers for themselves. One time, his daddy was really angry because he poofed himself to the fairy realm, and the fairies wanted to eat him. His daddy found him just as the fairies were trying to give him a soup bath. His daddy made his mommy put a spell on him so he could not do that anymore. At least not until he was older he remember his daddy saying under his breath. Stupid fairies, they ruined all of his fun. He loved finding other realms and exploring. There are many more than what anyone knew.
Demon stopped tickling the little boy and looked to make sure there was no ooze on him. It was out of habit he did this, for he had not left a bit of ooze on anyone or thing since Evelynn and Gammy had done the spell on him. He looked at his hands and arms, which were black but had not oozing thick stuff falling off all around him. The ooze had solidified and now looked similar to skin only slightly thicker. Which was pretty cool because it seemed that nothing would stab through it. Demon decided he had his own suit of armor in a sense. He wore it all day, every day, and never had to remove it. Surely, a mate would be attracted to that, Demon thought.
Leo spun in a circle and took off, running toward the big packhouse on Moon-touched land. "Come on, the last one there has to eat the others' broccoli tonight at dinner. Let's find out why Daddy was so mad at my aunts for sleeping."
Of course, Demon would have won, but he let Leo win by about three minutes. He was not willing to have the child out of his sight longer than that when his parents were not around. Once they were both on the floor where Leo's aunts were sleeping, Leo whispered strange words, and they waited for someone to come by. They could both still see one another while they were invisible to everyone else, so they needed to make sure the spell had worked. It was good they could still see one another; how else would they keep from running into each other? A girl was pushing a cart of laundry down the hallway and almost ran them over. the two moved up against the wall just in time.
Once the girl and the cart were out of hearing, Leo said, "Whew, that was close. We were almost hallway kill." Demon rolled his eyes at that one. Leo liked to take things he heard the adults say and use them in his everyday adventures. Demon thought to himself, "I do have to admit the little dude has some good ones, though."
The two hung out in the hall listening to the talk going on inside of the room. First everyone went crazy when a woman asked who was Bob and Demon. Then people were coming and going in all sorts of directions. Bringing everything that could be thought of. When the doctor and his mate arrived, he was so frustrated and furious, with two of the Alhas inside the room, that he threw everyone out. When Kane came out of the room he was dragging Alpha Nathan out of the room with him. He looked at the wall where the two partners in crime were standing and said, "You two stay out of trouble. Leo, do not go in there and scare Doc. Leave your cousins alone too." The two men continued down the hall one dragging the other. The other was very vocal about what he was going to do to Kane when they went outside. Demon heard something about castration not being a bad punishment, and Kane replied, "I would like to see you try. I think my mate would have something to say about you removing that particular body part."
Kelp came out next, muttering under his breath, "What is it with the castration threat and punishment in this group of gods and wolves?" He was also helping Lucifer out of the room and down to his room. What had happened to Lucifer? He seemed so weak and tired. Demon did not have long to think about it because Alpha Mark and the Alpha, brother to his angel friend, Lorna, were walking out of the room. Alpha Mark was behind the other Alpha, who kept glancing over his shoulder and back into the room, looking like a love-sick puppy. The underworldling laughed at his thought and wondered if calling him that was an insult. He shrugged then and stole a peek inside the room. The only ones in there now were Doc and his mate, Cora, who was a nurse, too.
On the bed, he saw two women lying there. One had black hair, and the other had white. They were covered with a blanket with moon and star markings on it. A big yellow wolf lay between them. Their hands rested on top of the wolf, and they held each other's hands. He and Leo walked quietly into the room. They were not sure if the cloaking spell cloaked any noise they made and they did not want to scare anyone. They stood at the foot of the bed and watched as Doc and Cora did stuff to the two women and then wrote it on a clipboard. Once the two finished with the women on the bed, they asked them if they needed anything and two voices answered, in unison, that they were fine. Doc and Cora left the room.
The wolf and both women sat up in the bed. Looking directly at them, the dark-haired lady asked, "Leo, who is your friend?"
