Katia had arranged for the pack's teenagers to take the younger children into the packhouse to watch Disney movies while the adults discussed the new prophecy. As the children were gathering to go, she noticed that four individuals were making their way to the Alpha table, as she called it. They must have been who the four empty chairs were for. As they got closer, Katia recognized Crael, and she jumped to her feet suddenly when she got a better look at the second angel. Scooting around her chair, she rushed over to Crael and the other angel, "I know you." Katia said as she barreled into Crael shoving at him to move out of her way as she rushed on, "You were Thomas' fated mate. I am so sorry for what he did to you." Crael was trying to hold tight to his mate and make sure she was okay through the moon goddesses on slaught of apologies. He noticed that Lorna had looked astonished at the goddess rushing to her and apologizing for something that was not her fault. Then Selene was in the middle of the whole thing and she was apologizing to his mate for making such a mistake with the match and causing her the suffering she had. His poor mate had no idea what to do or say. When Katia informed his mate that she was excruciatingly beautiful as an angel, she blushed and blurted, "Of course I am, and thank you for noticing." Crael rolled his eyes and waited to see the reaction of the moon goddesses. They laughed and Selene quipped proudly, "Our wolves hold onto their confidence and dignity no matter what form they take."
A tall, drop-dead gorgeous man stepped forward, saying, "They are your wolves, my goddesses; however, you are now part of them as well as you are goddesses." Katia's eyes swung between the yummy stranger and her sister. She noticed her sister was familiar with the man and guessed she knew who he was from staying here while she was putting the plan to stop Uranus. She heard her sister saying something back to the strange, pale, but ethereal-looking man. His strange eyes fascinated Katia; they seemed to pull you in and make you feel like the most important thing in his world. His eyes were caramel in color, but every so often, they would flash a pinkish-red color. Selene was bantering back and forth with the man while Lorn and Nathan stood back at the table watching them.
When Katia heard her sister reply, "Why yes, we are a part of the wolves we love so much, finally. Yet, so are you, sir, vampire." As Selene finished that sentence, she turned to see the look on Katia's face and was not disappointed. Nathan groaned quietly as a look of excited amazement came over his mate's face. Before he could move to stop Katia she was throwing herself against the vampire and hugging him. He could hear his sweet mate talking as fast as her brain and mouth would allow her. Thank the goddess. Their resident vampire was good-natured and had heard from anyone who knew the Luna, who also knew how much she wanted to meet and interview a vampire.
As Nathan approached to try and draw Katia back to the table he heard her ramble, "Oh my, you are a vampire. You're a real vampire. Does the sun burn you? Are you afraid of silver and wooden stakes? Can you drink any kind of blood or just certain types? Do you have a mate? How many vampires are out there?"
"Katia, sweetheart, I am sure Bob will answer all of your questions after we are finished with the meeting about the three packs and the prophecy," Nathan told her as he put an arm around her waist and drew her back against him.
Feeling Nathan's arm go around her and pull her back against his chest she stopped chattering at the vampire and listened to what her mate was saying. She turned her head slightly so she could look up at him and smiled, "I guess you are correct. I was just so excited and happy to meet a vampire finally. Wait, Nathan, who is Bob?"
At that, the vampire stepped forward, bending at the waist as he said, "Allow me to introduce myself, Alpha Luna of the Moon Touched pack; I am Bob, a vampire of the Bleeding Heart clan. I have asked to be part of your wolf pack as I can no longer live the life expected of me by the one who made me."
As Katia listened to the vampire introduce himself, she wondered why he could not live as the one who made him expected, and what he meant by made him. But what came out of her mouth was not any of those questions. Katia blurted, "Bob? You are a vampire, Bob?" she giggled and continued, "I thought vampires had cool names like Drago and Alucard. "
Selene interrupted her sister, saying, "No, remember those books, Titi? We read those vampire books and their names were normal. They had names like Edward, Rose, Victoria, and so on."
Katia swung to look at her sister and said that it was about make-believe vampires. "Those vampires had glitter all over them or something. Remember they sparkled in the sun. No real vampire would do something like that." She looked at Bob for reassurance, and he just nodded in the affirmative.
Nathan had finally gotten her back to the table and sat with his mate in his lap. He figured that was the best place for her to sit right now. He had a feeling that he would have to keep her still through many things that would excite her tonight. One of those things was going to be the next introduction that had to be done. He had a feeling that both sisters were going to go crazy at this newest addition to the packs. Nathan noticed that Lorn had gone to gather his mate and returned with her sitting next to him and Katia so the two sisters could touch each other if they needed.
Crael and his mate Lorna, Lorn's sister, sat down in two of the chairs, as Bob sat in another. Lorn and Lorna's mother and father stood in front of their two seats and a woman who was dainty and delicately beautiful. The woman must be related to Lorn's mother for she resembled her, Katia thought. Hearing her sister's thoughts, Selene shook her head in agreement but wondered what other species this female was and if Lorn's mother was aware the two were related.
That was when Lorn's mother spoke up and clearly announced, "Alphas and Lunas, I would like to introduce my best friend and sister by choice, Yanylla of the fey." Selene and Katia gasped but it was Mark's mate and Luna, Talon, that spouted, "Holy Hades! A fairy! You are best friends with a fairy. How freaking cool!"
Mark tried to calm his mate's enthusiasm: "Babydoll, I don't think we should ever associate the word holy with the name Hades.I am happy you are not prejudiced against the fey like so many are taught to be."
Talon smirked at Mark and retaliated, "I am sure no one cares about me calling Hades holy. I was taught to treat all supernaturals as I would be treated. That all deserves respect, and I am so impressed that the two ladies survived in a time when the fey were greatly mistrusted and were able to forge a sisterhood."
Mark was speechless at what his young mate had just said—she was so wise for being just nineteen. He grabbed hold of her hand and stroked her palm as others arrived and seated themselves around the bonfire, where they could hear the discussion and speak up if the need arose. He heard the little ghost whispering, or she thought she was whispering when she was actually whispering yelling because her voice was giving out already. She was giving the low down to her parents Hyperion and Theia. Who sat listening to both girls tell them about their stay at the cabins and the vampire and fairy.
Finally, Nathan declared that everyone had enough time to chit-chat and catch up. It was now time to get down to business and discuss the future of the werewolves and other supernaturals living in the earthly realm. Mark and Lorn agreed that this would be a long night. The three alphas stood with their lunas next to them. Nathan spoke for the three as they had agreed upon earlier: "We are all here to discuss the new prophecy and the future of our three packs. However, before we can decide anything we need to hear what the new prophecy says."
Alpha Cade's mate who was called Mama by everyone, stood with Yanylla. Together they recited the prophecy from memory.
Where there should be one, there are actually two,
Two becomes four and evens the score,
Two side by side, One spread afar,
One of starlight travels the land to find the moons,
The starlight and moons become one,
Three pairs will rule with love and resolve,
And then the species will evolve.
