Love Me, Or Reject Me

Chapter 118 The War

Ch. 118 / 120 Dec 11, 2024

Kingsley's POV

"Alpha, Renee has started a war," Jeremy suddenly burst in, his face tense as he delivered the latest battle updates.

As a consequence of Boone's demise, Renee became even more audacious in his rebellion. He aligned himself with the Rogues and initiated a war, seeking to establish a new pack through bloodshed and control.

Naturally, Grace wouldn't make his quest simple. Under her command, her forces clashed with Renee's forces, both sides fighting to the death.

"Well, I know," I responded in my usual calm manner.

"It is time for us to avenge innocent people who died and the displaced refugees," Jeremy said with a hint of indignation in his voice.

"Prepare the car, we're going to give Grace a big surprise," I declared.

"Okay... All right!" Jeremy responded with a smile on his face.

The situation of the war was just as I had expected. Upon my arrival, Grace's troops were in full swing, taking back all the previously lost territories with great force.

Both sides hold the key to this war, so they have both deployed sufficient personnel and equipment early on. The entire battlefield is filled with a solemn aura of death.

The clash between the two sides created a deafening noise that echoed throughout the battlefield.

Grace's warriors in front row were large and powerful, causing the earth beneath their feet to tremble with each impact. Clad in heavy armor, they wield massive axes or spears, striking hard enough to take down their opposing werewolves.

Renee's warriors, as well as the Rogues, however, were agile and athletic, moving quickly between enemies, dodging their attacks with ease and launching swift counter-attacks.

Tragic scenes played out across the battlefield. Werewolves killed each other, and the air was thick with the scent of blood and flesh. The blood of the slain werewolves spattered on the ground and the surrounding trees, creating a scene of carnage.

Many werewolf corpses were trampled underfoot, crushed by their companions in the heat of battle. Their bodies twisted and contorted, bearing witness to the cruelty and absurdity of war.

In the midst of battle, some werewolves were knocked to the ground, yet they continued to struggle in agony. Their eyes widened, their mouths gaped as they gasp for air, and blood continued to flow from their wounds.

At times, some of the werewolves fighting alongside Renee and Grace would sustain grievous injuries and gradually succumb to their wounds.

With their last breath, they would gaze helplessly as their comrades retreated from the battleground, before their eyes gradually shut and they passed away, departing this world forever.

In the midst of the chaos, I and my men were not mere spectators but active participants in the fierce combat.

We exchanged a sharp look, their eyes glinting with an icy determination as if we were ready to take on the entire world.

The deafening sound of wolves howling and snarling filled the air, and the stench of blood pervaded the battlefield as packs fought one another.

An hour later, the war was winding down, and both Renee's and Grace's armies were exhausted. I turned my head to look at Jeremy and nodded, signaling him that our soldiers could commence their attack.

Upon my command, our men swiftly charged down. This sudden turn of events stunned the crowd gathered at the center of the battlefield.

I bore the brunt of the attack, leading the troops and mercilessly shredding Renee's throat in his surprised eyes.

Immediately afterward, I turned to look at Grace.

Meanwhile, my men were clearing out the Rogues and other enemies on the battlefield.

"I won't let you get away this time!" Grace bellowed, her face twisted in a fierce expression as she charged forward, swiftly transforming into a giant gray wolf.

But I was not one to be outdone.

I deftly avoided her attack by transforming my wolf body and twisting in mid-air, before lunging towards her neck with my razor-sharp teeth.

Grace let out a guttural cry of pain as my teeth sank into her flesh, and she reflexively reached out to claw at my eyes. However, I nimbly pulled back and slashed her back with a sharp blade.

With blood gushing out of her open wound, Grace fell to the ground, writhing in agony. Yet, despite the excruciating pain, her eyes were ablaze with fury and a sense of resignation, and with her last ounce of strength, she pulled himself up and charged at a direction.

A distant wolf's howl echoed suddenly.

I stood frozen in place, glancing towards the direction Grace had hurried off to, only to witness a werewolf holding a tiny baby in his hands.

In an instant, the realization hit me – it was our baby, Freya's and mine.

However, Grace was already closing in at that moment.

Out of nowhere, a massive white wolf figure leaped over my head.

It was Freya.

Their bodies collided with a resounding thud, and although Freya was left momentarily dazed, she managed to remain upright.

Seizing the opportunity, she clamped her teeth into Grace's shoulder, tearing into her flesh and causing fresh torrents of blood to flow.

They remained locked in a brutal stalemate for some time, but ultimately, Grace collapsed to the ground, gasping for air as blood continued to flow profusely from her wounds.

Slowly and shakily, she transformed back into her human form and sought out a nearby rock to lean against, her body shaking with pain and exhaustion.

Her complexion had turned slightly pallid, but she exuded no air of defeat, and regarded me with a look of disdain.

"Well, you win. Go ahead and kill me."
