The news of George's attack quickly reached the house of Ambrosia. Lily was shocked as she hurriedly went to her daughter to tell her that her father had been rushed to the hospital due to a heart attack. Veronica also panicked, and the two women went to the hospital as soon as possible.
When they arrived, George came out of the emergency room and was transferred to a regular ward. Lily then went to the doctor to ask about her husband's condition.
"Well, the attack was triggered due to shock and extreme worked-up of emotions. I advise that the patient receives more rest and avoid too much stress." The doctor replied.
Lily thanked the doctor. She then wondered what caused him to receive such a massive shock that led to a heart attack.
They took quite a time in the doctor's office as he advised and prescribed medicines for the patient. When they entered George's room, he was already awake.
Lily immediately rushed to him.
"Dear! What happened? Are you alright?" She worriedly asked.
George saw his wife and daughter come to him immediately while hospitalized. He then sighed as he remembered the events before he was rushed to the hospital.
"The Castellanos had terminated our cooperation with their company," He said, problematic.
Lily and Veronica both gasped at the shocking words of Damon.
"What? How could that be? Are you not just mistaken, dear? Why would the Castellanos break off our relationship?" Lily asked one question from another.
"Yes, Dad! That can't be! They won't do that to us!" Veronica also exclaimed. Veronica could not believe it. There is no way she is cutting off from Damon!
George felt a headache coming from the stew the woman is making. He sighed again.
"I don't know! Damon Castellano already made the decision. He said he was not satisfied with my ways of handling people." George said tiredly.
He had thought of it. How could a busy manhandling large company mind trivial matters as the employees of his associate's company?
Unless he experienced it firsthand, he did not mean his employees. George diverted his stare to his wife and daughter with narrowed eyes.
"You did not make troubles for him, did you?" He inquired with scrutinizing eyes.
Veronica froze for a moment as he remembered her fight with Damon. She gulped down nervously and glanced at her mother. Lily also turned to her daughter and gave her a meaningful look.
She stammered as she answered. "N-no, Dad, I didn't."
George eyed his daughter until he massaged his temple from a surging headache.
"I just want to rest right now; this day has been hectic," He said with a horse voice. Lily quickly tended to him.
"Of course, dear. The doctor also said not to stress yourself too much. Rest first. Think about everything later." She appeased her husband.
George closed his eyes to sleep. Veronica saw this and slowly walked away. Just right after she walked out of the door, her mother followed.
"Veronica, what happened? Tell me honestly. Did you fight with Damon?" Lily started as she quizzed her daughter. Veronica heard this, and she bit her lips.
"I think I know what is happening," She said with clenched fists. This is all the bitch's Anya's fault!
"Mom, there is something I need to do. You take care of Dad," She immediately bid goodbye to her mother as she thought of a plan.
Lily could only helplessly call her daughter back, but the latter walked straight out of the hospital.
Veronica quickly drove towards Castellano's mansion. She was there to meet Amanda.
When she arrived, she went straight inside to find Amanda. When she saw her, she immediately whimpered for a cry.
Amanda saw Veronica arriving, and the other started to cry before she could even greet her. She was stunned as she saw Veronica's state.
"Veronica, dear, what's wrong?" Amanda asked as she led Veronica to sit on the sofa beside her.
"Auntie," Veronica sobbed as she looked at Amanda with tears in her eyes. "My Dad had a heart attack!" Veronica exclaimed as she cried more.
Amanda froze, and when she recovered, she jolted up as she asked.
"What?! How is he?! Is he okay?!" Amanda asked in a panicked and worried voice. Veronica did not expect such a strong emotion from Amanda, but she felt it was good for them.
"Auntie, he is already out of danger, thank goodness," Veronica responded as she sniffed.
Amanda calmed down a little and composed herself once more.
"Why? What happened?" She asked directly. Veronica then began to weep.
"Auntie, Damon, he broke off the Castellano's corporation with us!" Veronica dramatically taled. Amanda was shocked.
"What? My son did that?" Amanda could hardly believe it.
"Yes, Auntie. That is why Dad had a heart attack from the big shock!" Amanda was even more bewildered.
"Why would he do that? Our relationship with your family was from the previous generation! He shouldn't do something like this!"
Veronica then readied her words and purpose for coming here.
"It is all because of that woman, Anya! Auntie, she is the woman who told Damon to break off with our family!" Veronica threw the dirty water at Anya.
Amanda was confused. Because of a woman?
"Who?" the middle-aged woman asked as she did not recognize this name.
"Anya is the woman who is seducing Damon right now! She is a divorced, cheating, and wanton woman! She is trying to fool Damon!" Veronica exaggeratedly told Amanda.
Amanda was starting to dislike this girl, but she couldn't believe her son was caught in the net of such a vile woman.
"Damon is not that kind of person! He would not be swept away by just a slut." Amanda convicted. Veronica heard this and rebuked.
"Believe me, Auntie, it is true! Look at this!" Veronica showed Amanda her phone as it featured a picture of Anya and Damon together. The two were looking at each other warmly.
Amanda felt like her eyes were playing with her. She was shocked, silly. Veronica saw this and added fuel to the fire.
"She asked Damon to break off his relationship with our family because she is jealous of me. She got hold of Damon and me being matched together for marriage," Veronica said softly as she cried.
Amanda was angered. How could a slut mess up her son's mind and career?!
"She plans to get rid of every woman from Damon's side. She plans to get the title of madame." Veronica said carefully as she glanced at the woman. And as expected, Amanda became even angrier!
"How dare that whore!" Amanda's crisp voice rang through the halls. No, she can't let this happen!
She won't let a dirty woman infiltrate her family and prestige!
