Damon immediately gave out his orders.
That is, to break off the cooperation between the Castellanos and Ambrosias.
Their business was finally going downhill thanks to their foolish young miss, Veronica Ambrosia.
Damon smirked coldly inside his office as he was satisfied throwing that woman out of his life. He never really tolerated anyone getting on his nerves. So, letting it drag for this long was already his blessing to them. But the stupid woman just never learns.
Inside an office of the Ambrosia company, George sat in front of a document containing the business order of their cooperation with the Castellanos.
How could this be?! This might be a mistake!
This is not a small problem; that is why Geroge Ambrosia himself, the President, was the one who went to the Castellano's Group of Companies to take care of this matter.
As he arrived at the company's building, he immediately went to Damon's office.
The head secretary let him in, seemingly expecting that the President of the Ambrosias would come as soon as possible. From this, George felt a horrible feeling brooding in his heart.
When her entered, he saw the young tycoon on his seat inside his large office.
He immediately greeted me. "Mr. Castellanos,"
Damon looked up at the man. It was Veronica's father, the head of the Ambrosia Company.
"Mr. Ambrosia, I thought I had sent the order of our termination as associates. There is no need to step in on our premises," Damon heartlessly said to the man.
George finally felt his heartthrob in anxiousness.
"Mr. Castellano, what do you mean by that? How could you break our cooperation just like this?" George frantically said.
"I am not satisfied with your work and how you handle your affairs and people. And is Mr. Ambrosia questioning me about my decisions?" Damon answered with a cold voice.
George felt even more nervous, but he still pushed forward.
"Yes. The cooperation between the Ambrosia and the Castellanos was far back from the last generation. From your father. So, in terms of termination, I should be facing your father, and he needs to decide whether to terminate our relationship." George said faintly.
Damon's eyes sharpened, and his expression darkened.
Damon's father was long gone. So is he saying that to terminate the contract, that will be between him and his father, which will never happen? What a sly old fox.
He laughed mockingly.
"Let me ask you, Mr. Ambrosia, who is the head of the Castellanos right now?" Damon said as he leaned back in his seat.
George was quite taken aback. But Damon was staring straight at him, so he answered. "It is you," George's voice was stiff.
"There you have it. I am the head. The one you would want to talk to would be me. Any decision made by my company will be made by me or go through me." Damon said with a dark voice.
"Looks like Mr. Ambrosia doubts my capabilities. I advise you not to test it because I can do more than tearing a mere association. I can even send you to where my father is so that you would be at ease?" He added with a raised voice.
George took a breath due to shock. As he saw the sharp eyes and dark countenance of the man before him, all he could think of was danger.
This was a dangerous man.
He would not want to fight or break off with him. he thought he just needed time.
"Mr. Castellano, I would send my secretary to still talk about the details. Please, excuse me." He hurriedly excused himself. He left and was anxious to start a board meeting. He needed to discuss this with everyone. As long as it is not official yet, and the papers have not arrived, there is still a chance.
He went back to the building and called for a meeting. He was planning all the necessary preparations to convince the board and what actions to take when receiving a report.
And before George Ambrosia could even start the meeting, the papers of the termination arrived at his hands.
His hands shook as he did not expect Damon Castellano could be this impulsive! No.
George breathes deeply.
He can't. He could not break off from the company.
And also, he could not break off from the Castellanos.
There was more to it than they knew; their family was close and should not have been broken off.
But now he was facing papers of termination.
Suddenly, George's chest tightened. He had trouble breathing, and he clutched his chest for it.
The secretary around him was alerted and tried to support him, but the 's body older man finally collapsed and broke down on the floor.
The whole office became in chaos.
Damon sat behind his table with a grim face. This family Ambrosia was pushing his buttons.
They think they can still come back, huh? They better try.
And for that, Damon sent the termination contract in advance.
He sat in his office as he was once reminded of his father, who had nothing but business in his mind.
Growing up, he was molded to protect himself alone, as he was said to be a man, and a man needed to stand up for himself.
His father always boasted that he had already schemed his way up to the high branch of the Castellanos family at a young age.
The man was a shrew. He could be in business with everyone as long as they give him a high profit. He was a work maniac that treated power as the essential thing in the world.
Growing up, Damon did not feel the warmth of his environment. He always needed to be alert, as the eyes of many were on him, waiting for him to make a mistake and take advantage of him.
He learned never to trust anyone easily, and there was no room for unconditional trust and love in his world. It was full of deceit, schemes, and fraud.
He loath this life, but he also wants to conquer it. Conquer it as well as the man. He was seen as the most potent and prominent man in the world.
But when he finally got on top and got everything, he saw that man, without his power and name, was only a man with thin skin and bones.
Is this really what power could give? For the past years Damon led, he too knew the means and advantages power could provide. But still, he never felt controlled and saw this as the only holy grail of his life.
He was still getting to know if he, too, would be like him, overwhelmed by the power and prestige.
In every waking hour, he never ceases to question himself again and again, Does he want more?
And does power holds everything?
