After Ellen took over the Davidss Group of Company, she made sure to cater the expectations and wants of the Castellanos Group of Company.
She had kicked out her grandson from his post and now, she was cleaning the whole company. The shady business associates her grandson had acquired, as well as the companies Castellanos are dissatisfied with, she cut all ties from them.
The Castellanos were satisfied by Ellen’s actions, and they were starting to negotiate with them again. Ellen was finally relieved a little bit. Her work finally paid off.
The only problem she had now was her grandson. Although she had kicked him out, he was still her grandson and her own blood, so she was still anxious about how his doing. But that doesn’t mean indulging him with his actions that could affect the company.
In the end, power and wealth were still the most important possessions for Ellen. She called one of her secretaries.
“What is that boy doing?” She asked. Now that he was out of position, he doesn’t have anything he held on, so Ellen was wondering what he was up to now.
“The Master is still quite upset, Madame. All the people following him are stopped by his men. He is meeting with business associates though.” The secretary reported.
Ellen rolled her eyes. These are all his fault, whose upset with who?!
Tsk. Oh well, that boy needs to grow up. He was so spoiled from childhood tat he needs to learn a thing or two. Better to let him experience and discover on his own.
The telephone in Ellen’s table rang, and she picked it up. “Mrs. Davids,” A man’s voice rang.
Ellen stiffened as she heard the familiar voice.
“Why are you calling? I already cut our ties, the Davidss are no longer interested in associating with you,” Ellen said to the man.
The man on the other line chuckled.
“Mrs. Davids,you are so hasty. Things cannot end just like that. But if you really want to forget and erase any association with me, I have a condition. I just want to have a good talk with you.” He said in a negotiating voice.
Ellen pursed her lips. She already knew just how cunning the people in this industry are, so she knew she couldn’t easily cut ties with them.
“After these, I will guarantee there will be no contact between us again.” He added and made it clear to Ellen.
Ellen sighed.
“Fine,” She said in a stiff voice. Anyway, this will be the last time she would encounter this man again, so she agreed.
The only problem is what kind of condition he would ask.
Damon sat on his office and listened to his secretary’s report. Alex was also with them, listening to the contents.
“Mrs. Davids had cut ties with most of them. But right now, she is meeting someone.” Gabe passed the report to Damon.
Damon took it and read what is stated. He saw a certain name and passed it to Alex. “Investigate about this,” He ordered.
Alex casually accepted the document and read it too. He acquiesced to Damon easily. Damon dismissed Gabe, and when he left, Alex immediately asked Damon.
“If you are this doubtful to them, why not just cut ties with them completely? What are you planning?”
Damon heard this and smirked. He leaned back and loosened the button of his collar.
“What is the most disheartening and crashing feeling one can receive?” Damon asked with menace playing in his eyes.
Alex only raised his brows to that.
Damon looked at Alex and said in a stern voice. “Betrayal.”
A smirk was playing on the sides of his lips.
“That’s what the Davidss do, and that’s what they should receive.”
Alex finally understood. He looked incredulously at his friend. Sometimes, even he is scared by this man’s ruthlessness.
“Nothing feels more dismaying than being betrayed by a someone you thought you could lean on. Having presented by gold but it turned into to stone, such a pity. Don’t you agree?” Damon said with an evil smile.
Anya had been busy in her studio. Because of the fire, her office was damage. But thanks to Damon, the fire did not grow more and spread to other areas.
But know she was fixing her office. Coincidently, the building held compensation for her office and said they will fix her office. Anya was surprised, she did not know such a good benefit when she applied here.
Little did she know, a big person orchestrated this all. All she knew she was lucky to be fall in this location.
So, the restoration of her office was immediately started.
In the meantime, Anya had a break from opening her studio. She also wanted the wires and electricity to be checked, to avoid that accident to reoccur.
Right now, she gave her assistants a day off as well as herself. It had been a long time she shopped, so she roamed around the mall.
She did not know if it was deliberate, but her feet brought her to the child section. There were toys for all ages displayed in the shelves.
Anya remembered her son. They have been keeping in touch with each other, and sometimes, she would watch her son’s day behind the scene. He was just a toddler so his day will only consist of playing, sleeping, and eating.
When Anya saw the toys, it hit her that she haven’t given her son any toys yet. She badly wanted to give him one. In the past, she was reluctant because she felt she was overstepping boundaries. But right now, Damon was open with their relationship, and her son also have a good opinion of her.
She though it would be alright to give her son something from her. That’s why Anya looked through the toy section with a happy heart.
There was a variety of toys, and she went to the boy’s section. The toys there were all something that could entice baby boy. Cars, balls, and action figures.
Anya stopped in front of a figure. It was a superhero, saving and shielding people from danger.
When she was a child, she dreamed to meet a superhero. But when she grew up, she learned that there was no such person. As she thrives in her life, her superhero was herself.
But right now, she questioned if it was the same. Much to her panic, a face flashed in her mind.
Today, it feels like Damon was her superhero.
Anya was shook by her thoughts, so she stared at the superhero for a while. That same superhero, was also the father of her son.
Even with her brain restraining her, her heart smiled and it showed in her lips. She took the superhero from the shelf. She wanted to give this to her son.
So that one day, he too, will be a superhero for someone.
