It can be said that the Madame of the Castellanos was already obsessed with her new grandson. She had spent all of her time for the past few days with this cute little guy.
Damon became at ease with this as he could leave his son without so many worries. At the same time, Allen was also fond of his new grandma. In the past, the little child was cooped up at home without seeing so many people. Now he was in a big house with many people he could see, and as a brave little guy, he was happy and cheerful, receiving all the attention instead of being afraid.
When all of these came about, Amanda was pretty busy with her grandson that she became quite attentive to other matters, which includes her alienating Veronica. Much to Veronica's dismay.
Veronica was huffing and entering their house in a bad mood. Lily, Veronica's mother, so this and asked her daughter.
"What’s wrong, dear? Why the long face?"
Veronica sat beside her mother and crossed her arms.
"Aunt Amanda hadn't been meeting me these past few days," She answered, dissatisfied.
Lily heard this and sighed. She looked closely at her sulking daughter.
"Darling, do you need to push yourself that hard?" She concernedly asked. Veronica heard this and immediately turned to her mother.
"What do you mean, Mom?"
"I mean.. Damon Castellano seems quite busy, and so is her mother," Lily said underhandedly, the meaning hidden. It seems her daughter is a sore in the eyes of the Castellano.
"Mom, you know how much I like Damon." Veronica retorted, stomping her foot.
"But, sweetheart, Damon would be much more alienated from you if you keep forcing yourself on him."
"But I want him. How would I be with him if I don't approach?"
"Veronica, maybe you should just let it go. Damon seems not interested, and there are still lots of guys-"
Veronica did not let her mother continue and stood up from her seat.
"No! I only want him! I will not l will not marry anyone if it is not Damon Castellano!" Veronica exclaimed.
Lily could only stare at her daughter, who was throwing a tantrum, and sigh. She hoped this silly daughter of hers would not cause trouble for herself. She wished she wouldn't fall into her pit.
"Let’s plan for a party!" Amanda exclaimed as she spun around with her grandson in her arms.
Damon sighed at his mother's enthusiasm.
"Mom, we don't have to." He tried to refute his mother.
"What do you mean, not?! How could our little Allen enter the world without a celebration? We need to announce it to everyone! That the Castellano house has a cute little boy!" She happily said as she stared at the baby in her arms.
"Right, my love?" She coaxed the baby. Allen only giggled melodiously, capturing the hearts of everyone in the room. He waved his little hands.
"Party!" He exclaimed.
Damon looked at his son and could only sigh. He also wants to brag about his son to the world, yet he does not want him to receive unnecessary attention. However, he knew this would be one of the consequences if he presented him to his mother. The mademoiselle of the Castellanos is just that extravagant; no one can pass her without her announcing it to the world.
In the end, Damon is forced to agree.
So it is soon known to the high society circle that the Castellanos will have a big party.
As Amanda was enthusiastic about the decorations and the many things needed for a grand party, Damon had a headache with the continuous flowing of people appearing on the guest list. It looks like Amanda is about to make it in a literal sense, she was really about to announce it to the world.
Damon saw all these and thought he needed to do something about this and make a precautionary measure. So he called one of his trusted friend and who is in the field inclined to his outmost concern.
The phone rang, and shortly it was answered.
“What’s up, man?” Adam greeted as he answered the phone. He was one of Damon’s close friend but also the president of the biggest security agency.
“Hey, I need your help for security, do you have time in your hands?” Damon properly asked.
Adam heard this and he immediately acquiesced since the one asking is his good old pal.
“Is it for a party?” He inquired as he signaled his secretary for the necessary preparation.
“Yes it will be held in the mansion.” Damon answered.
“Alright, I just need to have a clear view and blueprint of the place then,” Adam started to take note.
“Sure, you could come now. There is also someone I want you to meet,” Damon responded. Adam raised his eyebrow. It was not an everyday occurrence that Damon Castellano would be interested enough to people that he would want him to meet them. he became interested and quickly agreed to the prompt meeting today.
“Alright, I’ll be waiting, I am here in the mansion today.” Adam nodded and dropped the call. He got up to get ready to leave.
And not long, he was entering the Castellano’s mansion. He also brought his men and the necessary people that were needed to check and survey the place.
Damon received the report that Adam had arrived so he went out to greet him.
“Damon, my man! It has been long,” Adam bump his fist with Damon and they greeted each other for a while.
“I have already dispatched my men to make a blue print out of the place. We will make sure the mansion will be well guarded on the day of the party,” Adam first mentioned their professional business.
“Got it. I would also like for you to go through the guest list and make sure those people are clean,” Damon said, not letting any loopholes unattended for the said celebration.
Adam accepted the job and sent his secretary to handle the paper works and necessary information needed.
When Adam’s secretary left, Damon approached him and patted him on the shoulder.
“Let’s go, I would introduce you to someone,” He led Adam to the garden. Adam finally heard what he was curious of and willingly followed Damon.
When they arrived in the garden, they saw a colorful mat placed on the grass with toys scattered on it.
In the mat, not only were there toys, but a toddler playing cheerfully.
Adam was taken a back when he saw a child. Is he the on Damon wants him to meet?
Damon disregarded his friend’s deluded look and went to his son. He scooped him up and held him as he faced Adam again.
“Monmon, this is Uncle Adam.” Damon introduced Adam first to the little guy.
“Uncle Rorer,” Allen cutely slurped his words as he called out to Adam. The latter was startled and hesitantly pointed at Allen.
“Who is this child?” He asked incredulously as Damon. This could not be his son, can he?
“My son,” Adam nearly jumped as he heard from Damon the unspoken words in his head.
“Your son?!” He exclaimed, stunned.
Damon frowned at his stupid and loud friend.
“Don’t yell,” He scolded as he caressed his son’s back, appeasing him in case he was surprised.
Adam then composed himself as he stared back at the boy. The boy looked so much like Damon, except for the conspicuous blue eyes. But in all matter, the child was very cute!
“Hi, baby!” He happily approached him. Allen smiled cutely at the man, showing a very good attitude to strangers, Damon noticed.
Adam sighed as he felt his heart was snatched by the little guy.
“Hey, since when did you have a child? And where is the mother?” He asked. He was very bewildered. He had never heard Damon marrying or even seeing a woman before. How could he have a son now?
Damon heard the question. In the past, he always thought the other reason why he does not want anyone to meet his son. Because of this unavoidable question that would be thrown to him.
But know, he unexpectedly did not feel that unpleasant feeling, but a feeling of amuse and a little tickle in his heart.
He looked at his son’s face and turned back to Adam with a smirk. “I am still pursuing her.”
