Ch. 133 / 166 Apr 12, 2026

The sun was still up and shining when the car drove into the compound of the beautiful mansion of the Wellingtons. Jason got down and opened the door for Julia. He offered her his hand and helped her out. She was still in her gown. The co-driver seat door opened, and Mary got down carrying the baby boy in her arms. Julia admired the mansion before them in awe.

“Let's go inside. You look tired and this gown is a lot of work," Jason said and Julia smiled.

Some servants quickly walked up to them, collected their bags from the car trunk, and headed for the mansion while Jason, Julia and Mary took their time walking towards it. The guards upon arrival, quickly took their position.

The trio together with the baby walked into the mansion. The servants showed them to their rooms. Mary had her room located on the ground floor. She gave the baby to Julia as it was time to feed him. Mary headed for her room to change her clothes into something comfortable. Jason and Julia had their room located upstairs and directly opposite them was a baby nest. Julia first entered the bedroom carrying the baby and Jason followed her in. She lay the baby on the bed. He was peacefully sleeping. She quickly slipped out of the gown and found herself something simple to wear from her bag. Jason equally did the same. Julia sat on the bed and carried the baby in her arms. He opened his eyes and began to cry making Jason who was unpacking their stuff shift his gaze to their direction.

“What happened?" he asked.

“I am sure he is just hungry. Please help me with his diaper,” Julia said stretching her hand for a diaper.

Jason searched the bag and found a diaper. He opened it, took one out and also picked up the wipe. When he turned his focus to Julia she was already breastfeeding the baby. He smiled staring at Julia and how lovingly she was staring at the baby. He walked to the bed and placed the diaper and the wipe next to her.

“Let me check some few things around and after we can take a tour of the house," Jason said and Julia nodded before Jason exited the room.

Julia was already feeling exhausted from all the activities that went on for the morning and the ceremony. After changing the baby's diaper and putting him to sleep, she lay him on the bed and lay down next to him.

Jason went round the house and checked the whole place out. His father did set the place up for their honeymoon. Aside from the building being very spacious, the environment was very serene and it did have a beautiful landscape view. There was a rooftop, a pool and a beautiful garden. Jason was very satisfied with what he saw. He returned to the bedroom to get Julia but found her sleeping with her hand protectively holding the baby who was equally asleep. He smiled at the two and carefully scooped the baby into his arms careful not to wake him. He exited the room, took him to the baby's nest and laid him in the cot. He put on the baby monitor and hung it on the side of the cot. He pressed a switch on the side of the cot and it started swinging the baby gently. He planted a kiss on the baby's forehead and exited the room. He returned to the bedroom. He wanted to position Julia on the bed properly but the moment he touched her she woke up.

“Where is the baby?" She asked panicking, her eyes scanning the room thinking she had dropped him.

“I took him to the baby's nest. Get some rest. You look very tired,” Jason said and Julia felt relaxed knowing the baby was safe.

“I am going to take care of some few things downstairs," Jason said and Julia smiled at him.

She sat up and opened her arms for a hug. Jason smiled and sat on the bed. He leaned in and hugged her.

“Thank you," Julia whispered behind his ears.

“For what?" Jason asked, still hugging her.

“For loving me," Julia replied and they pulled apart from the hug.

Jason cupped the side of her face and rubbed her cheeks gently with his thumbs staring into her eyes.

“Thank you for accepting me despite how badly I treated you from the beginning. I didn't know we would come this far. I am happy my stepfather brought you into my life. You changed my life and made me complete. Because of you, I am now a father. I love you, Julia," Jason confessed and Julia wanted to kiss him but she hesitated.

“Do it," Jason urged her after noticing her hesitation, his voice was very soft.

Julia leaned in and kissed him. Jason closed his eyes and responded to her kisses wrapping his arms fully around her. The two fell on the bed and their passion consumed them in a wonderful pleasure. This time Jason didn't stop in the middle, he went all out for her.

Later, in the evening, Julia and Jason sat on the bed, resting their back on the bed headboard with the baby resting in Jason's arms.

“How many times would he eat in a day?" Jason asked recalling how the baby had woken them up with his little cries that came through the baby monitor.

“Well, he eats in bits and that means, for now, a lot but that will change as he grows I think," Julia said resting her head on Jason's shoulder while Jason looked at the baby in his arms who had his eyes fully opened staring at him with his beautiful eyes.

“He has your eyes," Jason commented.

“Really?" Julia said and she stretched her neck to look at the baby.

“I disagree, he has your eyes and your handsome face," Julia replied.

As soon as the words left Julia's lips, the baby's gaze shifted to her and he burped. The baby's burp was followed by vomit.

“Oh, sorry. Let me get that," Julia said apologetically and quickly used the baby's mouth wipe to clean the baby's lips and next, she was about to attend to Jason's soiled shirt.

“Don't worry. I will take care of that when I get up. He is adorable," Jason said still smiling at the baby who smiled back but changed his expression to a serious one still staring at Jason.

There was a knock on the door and Mary walked in upon invitation.

“Sir, your father is here," Mary announced and Julia looked a little surprised just like Jason. “He is requesting you and Ma'am Julia's presence," she added.

“Sure, we will be down soon," Jason said and Mary exited the room.

Jason changed his shirt and Julia found herself something appropriate to wear. The two exited the room with Jason carrying the child. As soon as they stepped out of the room, they noticed the house was dark.

“Is there something happening with the lights?" Julia asked trying to find her bearings in the dark.

“I am not sure. It didn't seem like it when I did the house check," Jason said and retrieved his phone from his pocket and turned on the backlight to give them visibility. The moment they got to the staircase, the lights were turned on and a shout of 'surprise' came from the living room.

In the room, were Mr Wellington, Mirenda, Peter, Fiona and Dr Andesh. The baby who got startled by the sudden shout began to cry. Julia took him from Jason and tried to calm him down.

“Surprise indeed," Jason said with a frown.

“Wow! We didn't know you were coming," Julia said as she descended the staircase with Jason.

Mirenda walked up to her and took the baby from her hand.

“You were not supposed to. You left your party before you could celebrate, so we brought the party to you," Mr Wellington said and Jason shifted his gaze to Mirenda.

“Why are you looking at me that way?" Mirenda asked smiling as she cuddled the baby who had stopped crying in her arms.

“Because you are the only one who will plan this surprise," Jason said.

“Come on son, I feel heartbroken. You mean to say, I am not fun enough to plan such?" Mr Wellington said as they all moved towards the nicely decorated space.

“No, father. I am not saying that. This decoration and setting feels and smells like Mirenda," Jason said and Mirenda let out a laugh.

“How does it smell like me?" Mirenda asked and Jason just smiled at her.

“Anyway, where is Henry?" Jason asked not seeing Henry among them.

“Duty calls," Mirenda replied and Jason nodded.

They sat down and had fun, and Mienda and Fiona engaged Julia in a conversation about motherhood.

“So how does it feel to be a mother," Fiona asked.

“Well, normal, except you know you have a baby," Julia replied.

The ladies were occupying a chair in the living room with with Julia sitting in the middle of the two.

“So what are you going to name the baby?" Mirenda asked.

“I am naming him after his father. That is if it is okay with him," Julia said and rested her gaze on Jason who was standing with his father engaged in a conversation with Peter standing on the side.

“Awww, I called him little Jason, when he was in your womb. That is a nice name to choose for him," Mirenda said just then Julia's phone rang, drawing her attention to it.

She fetched the phone and checked the caller. It was an unknown number. She answered it, knowing, James and Mrs Haward were both in prison.

“Hello?" She said softly but she was met with silence.

She could hear someone steadily breathing but the person would not speak.

“Strange?" Julia said ending the call.

“What is strange?" Mirenda asked seeing the sudden change in Julia's mood.

“A strange number just call. I answered and I could hear the person breathing. Like the person wants me to know, he or she could perfectly hear me but yet the person never spoke," Julia reported with a frown.

“Let me see," Mirenda took the phone from her and checked the number and also frowned.

On the other side of the room, not far away from the ladies, Mr Wellington asked Jason what he was going to name the child.

“Well, I feel Julia would want to name him after me or her father. I just need to find out from her," Jason replied.

“Well, Mirenda, called your baby, Little Jason when we didn't even know the gender," Peter chipped in.

“I also feel we should name him after you, son," Mr Wellington added his voice.

Dr Andesh was on a call. She ended the call, drew closer to Mr Wellington and whispered into his ears. He frowned and rolled his eyes. He turned and whispered back into Dr Andesh's ears. She moved away placing her phone back to her ears.

“Just some work stuff," Mr Wellington said and Jason frowned reading some guilt in his eyes but it quickly went away.

The celebration continued till later and Jason and Julia were left alone in the apartment as everyone left.

“It's going to be a beautiful honeymoon," Julia said forgetting the incident of the call as she found herself standing next to Jason on the huge porch watching as their visitors got into their cars to leave.
