Happy Day
At the hospital, the doctor came to Jason one more time.
"Everything is fine and the baby is safe," the doctor said with a smile.
Even though Jason didn't leap for joy, the glow in his eyes showed how happy he was. The sides of his lips curled up.
"Oh thank God," Mirenda expressed and Henry could not help but smile.
Peter breathed a sigh of relief. He was praying earnestly so nothing happened to Julia or the baby. She is the only woman that made Jason happy and it will be sad for him to lose her or the baby.
"Can I see her?" Jason asked in a deep voice.
"Sure, this way," the doctor said and led him to the recovery ward.
Julia was lying on the bed with her eyes closed, an IV attached to her hand and a monitor machine also attached to her. Jason looked around the environment and frowned.
"I want her moved to one of your VIP wards," he said to the doctor.
"Yes, but that is very expensive," replied the doctor making Jason frown deeply.
"Do you know who I am?" Jason asked taking off his mask and baseball cup.
"Jason Haward," the doctor thought.
"I am sorry. I will get that arranged ASAP," said the doctor.
Peter, Henry and Mirenda moved out of the doorway making way for the doctor to exit. Mirenda walked towards Julia's bedside. She was in a blue hospital address and she had a bandage on her side. Dr Andesh walked into the ward after a few minutes.
"How is Julia?" she asked.
"Where did you go?" asked Henry.
"I wanted to get them to move things faster," she explained.
Four medical practitioners all in green, walked into the ward, moved Julia onto another bed and moved her out after informing Jason about it.
She was sent to one of their private wards for VIP patients. The room was spacious and fully equipped.
"Move another bed in here, for me. I am staying with my wife," Jason requested and the doctor who had walked in with them quickly instructed the team to move another bed in.
Jason sat down on the chair placed next to Julia and held her hand in his. He kissed the back of her hand. Peter and the rest moved out of the room leaving Jason with Julia.
Outside, Peter, Dr Andesh, Mirenda and Henry ran into Mr Wellington. They were all surprised to realize he was now coming to the hospital.
"I thought you were driving behind us," commented Mirenda.
"No, I needed to attend to an equally urgent matter. We will talk more when we go back home," he replied.
"Where is Jason?" he enquired.
"With Julia," replied Dr Andesh.
"I hope Juila and my grandchild are both fine?" he asked.
"Yes, they are," Dr Andesh replied.
"She is asleep and Jason is with her now. We can all go see her when she is awake," Dr Andesh explained.
"Sure, I guess we can sit here for the meantime," Mr Wellington proposed.
"Yeah, but in the meantime, you might want to wear this before anyone recognizes you," Mirenda said offering him a baseball cap and Henry gave him a nose mask.
Mr Wellington took them and put them on. They all sat down in the waiting area.
Back in the ward, Julia slowly opened her eyes and groaned in pain.
"Hey love," Jason said holding her down gently.
"Try not to move," he said.
"Jason, you came," she said, her voice very low like a whisper.
"Relax my love," Jason said kissing the back of her hand.
Julia suddenly remembered her pregnancy.
"Our baby," she asked almost screaming.
"The baby is fine. Relax," Jason assured and she lay back on the bed.
"You came," she repeated.
"Yes, I did. I love you," he said and leaned in kissing her lips gently.
"It's over my love, no one is going to bother you again," he said and sat back on the chair.
Dr Andesh stood behind the door and looked through the glass screen. Seeing Julia was awake, she knocked gently on the door and entered after hearing the response.
"Mr Jason, the whole family is here," she announced.
Jason nodded giving the go-ahead to bring in the others to see Julia too. A few minutes after Dr Andesh exited the ward, she returned with Mirenda, Henry, Peter and Mr Wellington.
"My daughter, how are you?" Mr Wellington asked.
"I am fine," Julia responded in a low voice but Mr Wellington could read from her lips and knew what she was saying even though her voice was not that loud for him to hear.
Mirenda walked to the bed and sat down on the side of the bed.
"Hello sis, I am glad you are okay," she said.
Peter and Henry stood at the foot of the bed, while Mr Wellington stood behind Jason. Julia was smiling all through and it warmed Jason's heart to see her smile amidst her pain.
They all spend some time with Julia before leaving for home. Jason stayed with Julia at the hospital sleeping on the bed provided.
Meanwhile, Mrs Haward and Mr Taga have been processed for court and they were both slapped with a thirty-year prison sentence for kidnapping.
Julia spent a couple of days at the hospital because of where she was wounded and the pregnancy. Peter was managing Paradise Hotel and Mr Wellington, managed the Wellington company, while Mirenda took care of Haward's company.
A couple of days passed and Julia had healed very well and was ready to go home.
"You know, it was a miracle the baby was not affected by this serious wound you sustained. This child is going to be great, I believe," the doctor expressed and Julia smiled sitting on the bed.
Jason looked on with a straight face even though he rejoiced inwardly.
"The good news is, all your results came out fine. You are good to go home," announced the doctor.
"Finally," Julia said with excitement and turned to look at Jason.
"Can we go home now?" she said pouting her lips making Jason smile.
"Yes, we can," he replied and Julia giggled excitedly like a little girl.
The doctor admired the couple for a while before exiting the ward.
Later that afternoon, Julia was discharged from the hospital and everyone gathered at Jason's house to welcome her home.
"Welcome home, Julia," Mirenda welcomed.
Jason frowned seeing so many people in his apartment but felt okay because there were more men than women. The women present were just Mirenda and Dr Andesh.

Julia stood in front of the mirror all dressed in white, with Mirenda running around making sure everything was set. Mary was sitting in the room carrying a month-old baby boy in her arms. Jason and Julia's baby.
"Are you ready?" Mirenda asked and Julia nodded a yes.
She walked to her baby and kissed him on the forehead and they all left the room. One of the guards was standing in the living room. He held Julia's hand and helped her down the stairs leading her to the car.
After a few minute's drive, they arrived at the church and the ceremony proceeded after Julia had walked in standing next to Jason.
Mirenda put all the guests on the top floor and the ground floor where the ceremony took place had only Jason's family sitting there.
The ceremony was perfect and everyone was extremely happy. Jason and Julia walked out of the church and a shower of flowers fell on them as they walked towards the car.
They sat in the decorated car and drove off together with their baby to one of Wellington's apartments for alone time together.
Mr Wellington never allowed his wife to meet Jason as he could not forgive her for what she did. She still came to the ceremony, parked a distance away from the venue and sat in her car watching the entire scene with tears in her eyes.
"I will make a better call in the future if given the opportunity," she said and drove off after Jason and Julia's car had left.
Peter, Mirenda and the rest of the guests at the ceremony continued the jubilation after Jason and Julia had left to spend time together alone.
