Break Out
"Were you able to get in touch with Mr Black?" James asked walking Fiona to the provided seat.
"Yes, I did," Fiona replied. "And yes, Mr Haward's mother is alive," she added as they both sat down facing each other around the small round table.
"What else did you find out?" James asked holding Fiona's hand in his tenderly.
"It appears, no one knows about it," Fiona said sounding unsure. "Well, Mr Haward doesn't know," she added. "She didn't come to Mr Haward's wedding," she said.
"Her husband knows she is alive. So if she didn't come to the wedding, it only meant one thing. Her husband forbade her. It explains why Jason doesn't know his mother is still alive," James said, a smile playing on his lips. "Find her and get close to her. It helps you get useful information you can leverage to get me out of here so we can be together, forever, building the family we want. Just you and me in a happy home with our little girl," he said staring at her and Fiona smiled.
He leaned over and kissed her cupping the side of her face. Fiona threw her hands around his neck and deepened the kiss. James stood up pulling her up with him not breaking away from the kiss. His hands travelled down her body and grabbed her behind squeezing it in his palm. Fiona let out a soft moan. He spun her around and bent her over the table. He unzipped her skirt and pulled it down. Fiona waited to feel him impale her but the officer's voice travelled to her ears.
"Hey, hey," shouted the officer. "What the hell are you doing? Your time is up," he shouted and brought out the handcuff to put it on James.
James zipped Fiona up and stood there with his back facing the officer who was walking towards him. A smile played on his lips as he kept Fiona still bent over the table with his hand pressing against her back.
"Be still," he whispered to Fiona and she nodded.
As soon as the officer tried to pull James's hand to his back to handcuff him, James hit him in the face with his elbow and he turned around and hit his chin so hard with his palm. The officer stiffened and fell to the floor like a log of wood which had just been cut through with a chainsaw.
"Is he, he, dead?" Fiona asked trembling, and James put two fingers to the officer's neck.
"He will live if they find him," James said and started taking the officer's clothes off.
"Are you doing what I think you are doing?" Fiona asked, standing on the side.
"Yep," James replied nonchalantly and took off the clothes he was wearing and put on the officers.
He took the officer's hat and put it on.
"Let's go," James said and walked with Fiona out of the room.
They walked back to the reception and James walked with Fiona keeping his hand down.
"Hey Connor, once you see this beautiful lady off, let me see you," came one of the officer's
"Hmm," James replied and continued walking.
They walked out of the station with ease.
"Connor, is she your wife or something? It seems like you made it your business to receive her anytime she comes around," teased another officer who walked passed James at the entrance.
James remained silent, half of his face was covered with the hat as he hid his head slightly lowered, and he walked Fiona to the gate. The gate was opened and he walked through.
"Where is your car?" James asked.
"I didn't come here with a car. I requested an Uber," Fiona replied.
"Shit!" James cursed.
"Hurry, I only have a couple of seconds to minutes and cars will start coming out of that gate.
James said and pulled Fiona hurriedly away from the prison's main entrance. He saw a car driving towards the prison entrance. he waved and the car stopped. It was another officer behind the wheel. James walked up to him keeping his face shielded with the hat he was wearing.
"Hey Connor," the officer called out rolling down the window.
James realized the uniform he was wearing had Connor written on the breast pocket.
"Yeah," James replied and showed his face.
"Oh shit," the officer said, but James grabbed his neck from behind the wheel and pressed it so hard as the man struggle helplessly against him.
James ended up piercing the neck of the officer with his nail and pulling it out. He pushed him to the side and shifted his gaze to the tower looking out for signs of being noticed.
"Get inside," James said to Fiona and she went round the car.
James turned and saw cars moving from the prison compound towards him.
"Oh shit," James said and quickly got behind the wheel and turned on the engine.
He spun the car around and stepped on the accelerator.
"Oh my God," Fiona panicked.
"Keep quiet. I need to concentrate," James yelled at her looking into the rearview mirror.
There were three cars following him. Soon bullets started flying in his direction. He started moving the car from side to side to avoid the bullets.
"James, I am scared," Fiona cried. "We are not going to make it?" she added sinking into her seat.
"Shut up. You are not helping?" James barked at her.
He stepped on the accelerator and sped up the car. He hit the main road and joined it. The cars still pursued him. It became a rough chase as James manoeuvre his way on the street swiftly. A couple of turns and he managed to lose the officers chasing him making some of them crush their cars into other cars and others running into poles. James pulled the car over in front of a strip club and got out of the car pulling Fiona with him. He took off the officer's shirt he was wearing and threw it into the car.
"Let's go," he said to Fiona and pulled her into the club.
They went through the club, exited through the back door and ran towards the main road behind it which was a different lane from the place they had abandoned the car.
"Now request your Uber," James said to her.
Fiona retrieved her phone from her bag and requested a ride to Southwest Ranches City. They got in and James covered half of his face with the hat, wearing just a white inner over the officer's pair of pants. A couple of minutes drive and they arrived at their destination.
"You live in Jason's apartment?" James asked surprised upon arrival. "What happened to your apartment?" he asked.
"Let's not talk about it," Fiona replied, walking towards the apartment.
"Don't worry, I live here alone. The gateman doesn't know you. Just keep your head down," Fiona said and walked through the gate into the apartment with James following him.
They entered the elevator and exited on the sixth floor. Fiona pushed the door open and peeped inside first.
"Mirenda?" she called out and James frowned.
"I thought you said you live alone?" he questioned.
"I do, but Mirenda is in the habit of showing up here unannounced and uninvited," Fiona replied. "Come with me," she added, pulling James up the staircase to her room.
As soon as they entered the bedroom and the door closed, James pulled her into a kiss.
"We have an unfinished business," James said seductively, capturing Fiona's lips again in a deep kiss.
