Trapped by Him

Chapter 182

Ch. 180 / 398 Feb 22, 2026

"No, not Miss Carter. She is Luna of the Black Thorn Pack," said Patrick.

The makeup artist was confused. "What?"

"She is my mate." Patrick glanced at the makeup artist. "What do you think you should call her?"

The makeup artist's face paled, and sweat immediately appeared on her forehead. Her delicate makeup was ruined by sweat.

Damon, who was behind the crowd, suddenly raised his head. He stared blankly at the couple not far from him. In the next moment, he lowered his head, but he no longer concealed the hatred and sadness in his eyes.

Before leaving, Patrick turned to Damon and said, "Damon, I hope you haven't forgotten what I told you in the study."

As soon as Patrick spoke, Damon's shoulders shook.

"You've been around me for a long time. We grew up together and my grandfather treated you like his grandson. He didn't have the heart to let you go to the border. Each member of the Black Thorn Pack is precious. My grandfather asked me to think about it before making a decision." Patrick said as he looked at Damon's expression.

Then, he changed the topic. "I respect my grandfather and will consider what he said. I cherish the friendship between you and me as well. I hope you know what's the right thing to do, Damon."

Damon's eyelids twitched. He understood that Patrick was warning him. Patrick was saying that he would not send him to the border for the time being because of their friendship, but he had to do the right thing.

Patrick was warning him not to target that bitch, Gloria!

Damon hated Patrick so much, but he did not dare to show it at all.

At this moment, Damon knew very well that as long as his expression or actions revealed his hatred for Gloria, Patrick would banish him right away, no matter what Alpha Alex said.

"I understand what you mean," Damon said in a low voice. "No matter what has happened, it's over now."

Patrick nodded. He turned around and led Gloria into the car.

Alex was involved in the incident back then. With flawless evidence, Alex tried to convince Patrick that he didn't wrong Gloria. She was a murderer and killed a member of the Black Thorn Pack.

However, Alex did not know that after so many years of staying together, Patrick knew him well. The overly-perfect evidence failed to prove that Gloria was guilty, but it made Patrick more suspicious of Alex.

If Gloria was guilty, why would Alex go through so much trouble to create the so-called evidence?

Since Patrick was in the wrong back then, he would spend his entire life making it up for her.

However, Gloria should not bear the hatred and resentment toward Damon.

It was not only because Gloria was innocent, but because she was his mate and Luna of the pack. She was nobler than Damon. If Damon still harbored resentment toward her, then he would have no choice but to drive Damon away.

Today, the stylist deliberately put such gaudy makeup on Gloria. Apart from Damon, Patrick wouldn't doubt anyone else.

Thinking of this, Patrick clenched his fists. He would give Damon a chance, and he hoped that Damon would not disappoint him.

The house was brightly lit, and a car stopped at the door.

Leonard and Hank sat in the front with Leonard in the driver's seat and Hank went out to open the door for Patrick, who was in the back seat. When Hank went to open the door for Gloria, a slender hand stopped him.

Patrick said, "Let me."

Hank was stunned for a moment, then he walked away.

Patrick went to the other side of the car and opened the door. He extended his slender hand to Gloria in the car.

Along the way, Gloria's mind was in chaos.

When Patrick's hand was placed in front of her, she looked at it and finally pushed it away and got out of the car by herself.

Patrick stubbornly reached over and said coldly, "Hold my hand."

Gloria paused. She was disgusted by such a commanding tone, but she took a deep breath to suppress it. She held Patrick's hand.

Since this was his request, then she would do as he wished.

In the past, she chased after him over and over again to hold his hand, but he would always push her away coldly. Although she had never succeeded, at that time, she felt that they were incomparably close.

She had affection for him since she was young and the Moon Goddess helped her to fulfill her dream.

But now, the clasped hands only brought her unforgettable pain. Such pain made her almost unable to hold his hand.

Gloria couldn't help but think of her three years in the werewolf prison. After such a long time and the misunderstanding between them, she didn't know how to face him.

In the silent room of the villa, Damon's phone rang.

Damon looked at the incoming number, then hurriedly pressed the answer button. He could not wait to say, "Ellison! Will you help me? I told you long ago that this is good for you! Otherwise, you can't cover the issue related to your mother."

"Shut up!" From the phone came Ellison's cold voice. "Damon, if you say another word, you won't live to see tomorrow's sun."

"Ellison! Don't threaten me! We have the same goal." Damon was no longer rational because Patrick said that Gloria would be the future Luna. He hoped that Ellison would help him kill Gloria. He could not wait any longer.

"I didn't say I was going to help you," Ellison sneered. Although he would not repent for harming an innocent woman, he would not kill her. He was a terrible man but he had his bottom line.

"Listen carefully. Those rogues showed up in Gabbs." Ellison told Damon the reason why he called.

Damon's eyes widened. His pupils contracted and he asked in a shaking voice, "What did you say?"

"The rogues from back then were spotted at the airport. At that time, it was dark, and the people who saw them weren't that sure. I just checked the nearby surveillance. Damon, I have to remind you. If Patrick finds them first, and the truth of the past is revealed, think about the consequences yourself," Ellison mocked coldly.

"I'm not the only one who is afraid of the truth being revealed. Aren't you the same?" Damon asked without thinking. He wanted to drag more people in, so he would be safer.

"I don't care. Alex won't tolerate conflicts among his people," Ellison said indifferently. He didn't want to do as Damon wished.

"You can't stay out of this. You were involved too." Damon was still trying to persuade Ellison.

But Ellison didn't want to waste more time listening to Damon and hung up the phone.
