My Cursed Sadistic Alpha: Sebastian's Curse

Another Murder?

Ch. 78 / 157 Apr 25, 2026

Sebastian

The two positive lines on the test, left my entire world shaking.

For a whole minute, I just stared at the test. I didn't how to react. There was a strange silence spreading peril throughout my veins. In my mind, there was a rigid darkness that led me to nowhere.

The answer that this test could lead me unnerved me.

All the speculations done inside my head only pointed in the same direction I saw in front of my eyes the moment I'd taken a look at this test.

This room was mine, beside me the only person who was allowed to stay here was her— So this could only mean that this pregnancy test was hers.

"Athena's pregnant?" The question left my mouth on its own, knowing that there was none to help me find the answer except for myself.

No.

How could she be pregnant? She didn't have a wolf so it was not possible for her to carry my child.

"If she's not pregnant then what does this test fucking means?!" I began hyperventilating, all I could see was black and this time it was not what I preferred.

I needed the light....

But who was there to bring it in? I had already ended up pushing my source of light away— My mate.

No! I couldn't give up. I had to think logically.

I had to find out whether this test was hers or not though deep down, I already had the feeling that told me that it was hers, And the feeling of my gut scared me...because I did not have any idea of what I was going to be doing if this test was hers.

At the moment when I was going to fall hopeless and out of way to discover the truth with my mind that felt empty and void, not working at all due to the overload of my conflicted emotions, Athena's words rang within my head with the flashback of our conversations this morning.

'Tell me something, Sebastian. What are you planning to do? Marry your mistress and have kids with her? A so-called happily ever you address as stupid?'

She only mentioned kids today— For the first time she had decided to touch that topic when she had never done that in all these days that she had spent with me.

The realisation hit me like a speeding truck and it left me paralyzed. I could not move a single limb of my body; Not even blinking.

How could I not notice that unusual statement from my mate?! How could I just ignore the sign that should have been enough for me to know the truth and blindly put all my focus just to hurt her enough to make her leave?!

'I'll be needing an heir and Celine can give me one which you perhaps would never be able to do since you don't even have a wolf, pretty unfortunate. But just think about it, even if you were able to give birth, would the child be strong enough to walk in my footsteps? I don't think so. He'd turn out to be as weak and pathetic as you.' My words sounded in my damn head.

I felt fucking terrible and I was fucking aware of the fact that instead of standing here and doing nothing, I should have done something. I didn't know what, but at least, something that could have helped with this fucked up situation.

'Walk in your footsteps?' Her bitter chuckle echoed through the destroyed bathroom, and all the empty corners yelled out what a failure I was, "Walk in your bloody footsteps, the path you have painted with murders and crimes, gradually become as fucked up as you?! That's what you call life? What's the life you wish your child to live? I can't believe you. You want your child to live a miserable life just like you and drown in the same darkness, you, yourself have never managed to get away from."

'Yes— That's the way to survive,' This time it was my voice that coursed with untamable rage and beliefs that were baseless, 'You have tried the other way around, didn't you? What have you—'

"No! That's not the way to survive!" I shouted, kicking the pile of broken objects, "That's a delusion— A bloody delusion."

The rage was trying to get the best of me and it would not be hard for it to take over and overpower me like all the other times.

But I couldn't afford it today.

For some reason, I was unable to accept the truth that Athena did not want me to learn about our child. The woman who tried to fix me with all of her heart.....wouldn't hide such huge news from me.

She knew me......

Yes, she knew me from the depth; It wasn't only my facade that she'd seen. She knew that I would never want our child to live a life that my father made me live, didn't she?

Who else could be there to know about Athena's pregnancy except for herself?

"I need to find out who else knows about this test. I haven't bought it. So there must be someone who has got it here. I need to find that per—" I stopped midway, the moment when the face of a maid flashed in front of my eyes.

Sarah— That was the only name the watchman had given me when, on my return, I had asked about who left the mansion when I was out of the city and when asked the reason for her need to go out, what she had mentioned to him was that she was going to the...pharmacy to buy medicines for herself.

And what medicine? None knew that.

But, she was the only maid who was close to Athena. I might have not dove deeper into the matter, but I had not failed to notice it. She'd often be checking on Athena's wounds even when not asked.

"Bloody hell!"

Before I even knew it, I sprinted to get out of the room and reach downstairs.

All I could feel was immense rage. It was a sure case that Sarah knew about this matter yet she decided to do the opposite of what she should have done.

"Sarah!" I shouted from the hall as I rushed downstairs, fuming with fury ready to explode within any second, "Get here right now!"

Being the obedient servant she acted like, she partially ran out of the kitchen with a few other maids who had nothing but shock covering all of their faces.

Yes, it could be wrongful of me but at that moment, I hated this woman more than anything else in the world. She helped Athena hide the truth about our baby from us. If I knew about it.....

I wouldn't have let her leave.....she would have been here, beside me.

"All of you— Out." Keeping my eyes on the maid, I motioned to the rest to leave.

I could see her nervousness, the tremble of her breath and the shaky hands she tried hard to keep steady. The guilt was there in her eyes and the rage in mine helped to make it even more evident than it already was.

"Athena, my mate," I stepped closer, throwing daggers at her, oblivion of what my anger might end up making me do, "She is pregnant, isn't she?"

I saw her attempt to prevent the widening of her eyes that happened with the natural instinct of the secret being exposed.

At this point, even a blind man could not unsee the fact that this woman definitely knew the truth all the way along and decided to hide it knowing that it was wrongful on her part when she worked for me, lived under my roof and had mercy.

"Alpha, I don't know what are you trying to say," She began, seeming flabbergasted, "I know nothing about—"

"One more lie and you are dead." I snapped, cutting her lies off.

She flinched before she fell, mum. Hesitancy and fear were all I could see shading her features. Peril seemed to have crawled up her skin and ice coated her insides.

She was frozen on the spot, realizing how serious I was about my statement and trying to contemplate what option she had left.

"Alpha, I-I...." She stammered, seemingly confused about what would be wise for her to say.

"I truly don't know what you are talking about. Believe me." Soon as she ended up lying, I let the beast within me set loose.

Without bothering for another second, I grabbed her by her throat and pressed her against the wall, so high that her feet didn't remain anywhere close to the ground anymore.

"You were given the chance to spill the truth and save your life but you chose to lie so now, you are going to get what you have asked for; And that is—Death."
