Adrian was concerned, he wasn't happy that Jessica left and he couldn't reach her. She's not answering her phone and now,her phone has been switched off.
She's not to be blamed. She didn't know he'd gotten back with Aurora. In her innocence she'd come. But the attitude from his woman made her uncomfortable and to please Aurora, he told her to leave, despite the fact that he presented it in a polite way.
Having no option, he decided to call Patrick. If it weren't for Aurora bringing Patrick in,he shouldn't know anything about this whole incident but her loyalty to him was beyond his words could recount.
“Hello Adrian” Patrick's voice came from the other end. He was expecting him to call him though. After all, he just dropped his girlfriend off.
“Where's Jessica?” Adrian asked, shoving courtesy aside. Patrick replied by telling him he dropped her off at the hotel and ensured she settled in before leaving.
Adrian asks the address of the hotel and soon, he steps out without informing Aurora where he's headed to. But instructed his men to be on guard.
No one goes out of his penthouse and no one is allowed in. On his way there, Patrick called him and asked if he could come along and Adrian agreed.
When Patrick arrived there, Jessica was not in the room she checked in earlier. Adrian was thinking fast, she's trying to avoid him, she probably left the hotel.
They checked the surveillance, she didn't step out of the door. But the hotel management wouldn't divulge any information to him. This got Adrian infuriated and demanded to speak with the hotel owner.
“Calm down Adrian. I'll sort this out” Patrick coaxed and went back to the receptionist. “When I came here earlier, I was in the company of a friend. You claimed she checked out but she's not seen leaving the premises.
You would quietly tell me what's going on or I sue you and the entire management of this hotel. A friend of mine is missing and you cannot convince me otherwise that there's no foul play here…”
“Sir, she doesn't want any information divulged to you or anyone. We're simply following her orders” the receptionist explained.
Adrian sighed softly.
As the brothers stepped out, Patrick said “If you both are dating, you should know that she felt hurt because of Aurora. Give her some time, she'll eventually come around”
“We're not dating. She's my friend and I appreciate her friendship. At the time, she and her mother were the only family I had. If I hadn't gotten back to Aurora, the only woman that would attract me, was her” Adrian replied.
Adrian left and by evening, Jessica called Patrick and told him she was taking the first flight the next morning. Patrick felt uneasy, Adrian should know about her decision.
He decided to go to her but she refused initially when he requested to see her that evening, Patrick persuaded her and eventually she agreed.
Patrick scolded her when she confessed to the fact that she changed her room and switched off her phone. She doesn't want to see Adrian but got them all worried about her.
“I don't want him to be unhappy, I don't want his ex wife to feel unhappy or cheated. What I did was because I wanted him far away from things that might cause a misunderstanding…” Jessica explained.
“Was it because of Adrian's happiness or it's partly because you love him and find it difficult to be around him without making silent wishes in your heart?” Patrick asked, his gaze fixed on her.
He was able to read her mind from her words. She's not feeling happy about Adrian getting reconciled and yet, she doesn't want him to fall out with Aurora because of her. It's confusing.
“I'd rather not talk about it,” Jessica declared and looked away. Has he already seen through, that she has feelings for him?
“Alright. In the meantime, I'll take you out, let's have dinner together” Patrick requested and Jessica agreed.
Back to Adrian's penthouse, he got back, a little late when Elsie was already asleep. Aurora couldn't sleep. That's her first day in his penthouse and he acted like a rascal by staying out so late.
She was excited when he returned. She hugged him, tiptoed to catch his lips for a kiss but like a statue, Adrian didn't move.
Gently he shoved her aside and asked “You're still awake?” As he walked past her, going to the bedroom. He expected her to be asleep already.
Aurora perceived the smell of alcohol. Adrian took alcohol? But he appears sound and not intoxicated. She went after him, hugged him from behind. “You're drunk?”
“No, I'm not. Just took a few glasses but I'm not a bit tipsy” Adrian replied casually, he pulled her hands off but Aurora tightened her grip around his waist.
“Adrian, I know you weren't pleased with my actions earlier. I'm sorry. I felt jealous when I saw her in your penthouse. Only I should have access to you and your door…” Aurora stuttered.
Adrian sighed softly. He still wants to get into the bathroom, he didn't respond, just trying to loosen her grip off him. He just doesn't know what he should say to her at that moment.
“Let go, Aurora,” Adrian requested. But Aurora walked over and stood before him. Raising her chin to glare at the man, towering over her, she chuckled.
“I'll come with you to the bathroom. Let's try something spicy in there like the last time we did it” she demanded, tiptoeing to kiss him.
“Just stop the act” he snapped at her, now shoving her aside. He is not interested in any of such with her. Jessica is in town and she doesn't want to see him because of her thoughts of insecurity.
“Adrian” Aurora stuttered. She let him go and said “I told you I am sorry. What else can I do to express my apology? Don't let us fall out with each other again” she pleaded.
“Should I accept the apologies and pretend that nothing happened? What about Jessica, do you know where she is, can you imagine what she's going through right now because you treated her unfairly?
How can I just forget about that someone feels hurt out there and get into the bathroom to fuck you? Have a pleasurable moment selfishly and not think about someone who is hurt?” Adrian blurted.
Now his words were harsh. His eyes were cold and he seemed hurt. Aurora glanced at him briefly and looked away. What exactly is it about this woman, Jessica?
“Are you in love with Jessica?”
