His Unwanted Bride (Married by Mistake)

166: Not pleased

Ch. 166 / 183 Mar 06, 2026

Simon shrugged. She could go ahead. She might be able to get words out from her since her fiance wouldn't be willing to do so.

Seeing that Simon didn't see anything wrong with that, Nancy decided to check on Magda. After all, if she were getting married the next day, it's only normal that they would have a few words of discussion.

When she stood by the door to Jimmy's room, she knocked gently. Nancy knocked on the door repeatedly and there was no response.

She contemplated on turning back to leave and the door was yanked open. Before her stood Magda, dressed in a transparent dress that barely covered her ass.

She glared at Nancy in irritation. This old hag kept knocking the door disturbing her quiet moments alone. What the heck does she want?

“I've been at the door for a while. I already concluded that you're asleep” Nancy explained. She would already have turned around and left.

But staring at Magda, she doesn't like it that she stares at her in such a manner. It's rude to glare at an older person the way she did. What is wrong with her?

“That's why I opened the door to check the imbecile that was standing here. As a matter of fact, you are acting impolitely by standing by the door and kept knocking despite not receiving an answer.

I used to think you were sensible ma'am. But now, I don't know what to think anymore. Anyways, what do you want, future mother-in-law” Magda seethed.

Nancy just stood quiet, unable to believe her ears. Is something wrong with Magda? How can she talk to her that way? She invariably called her an Imbecile and insensible woman.

She doesn't need to ask her any more questions about Jimmy. Her state of mind was worse than Jimmy's. It's better she walks away. Maybe some other time, she would talk to her, when her mood is good.

“Never mind,” Nancy responded and turned around. Next, she heard a loud hissing and the shutting of the door, violently. She turned back, glanced at the closed door and went away.

Simon Blake didn't expect his wife to join him so soon. Women can talk at length and Nancy is so fond of her daughters, both biologically and in-laws.

“Is Magda asleep?” He asked, seeing how distorted and confused his wife's facial expression was. She's unhappy and it's obvious from her looks.

“No, she's not. But she's not in the right mind to discuss anything with me. Hopefully, when she's alright, we'll talk” Nancy lied.

How can she tell Simon what Magda said, except she wants that wedding to be cancelled. She can't afford to deny her children the happiness they deserve.

“Then you shouldn't be having this look,” Simon complained. Not being able to talk to Magda shouldn't make his wife look this way.

“You know how worried I can be whenever my kids are not fine. And Magda is not an exception” Nancy defended.

Simon believed her and shrugged. Women and emotions are twin created. For every thing, they attach emotions to it. Such a unique creature they are.

That evening, Santiago and Charlotte returned from a friend's wedding anniversary party. They looked tired and exhausted. But as the culture of the Blake's family went, they still had to be present for dinner.

“I want you to throw a party on our anniversary too, darling” Charlotte demanded, intertwining her arms around Santiago's elbow. She wants him to give it to her as his anniversary gift.

“Then you'll have it my love” Santiago promised. Since they lost Dominic, she hasn't really been open and happy like this again. But taking her to that party, she became cheerful again.

“Awww, I love you” Charlotte chimed, kissing him by his chin as they got to the dining area. Everyone was seated, they were apparently waiting for them before Jimmy announces the wedding slated to take place the next morning

“I love you too, baby,” Santiago said and kissed her briefly. They sat down and apologised for being a few minutes late.

Magda wore a nonchalant facial expression. She got the bottle of wine, and poured herself a full glass and before everyone seated, she emptied the entire contents.

Simon glanced at her, a frown on his face but then, he ignored her. “Jimmy here, has something to say to the family” he disclosed.

“Oh, alright,” Santiago declared. He has been waiting for Jimmy to disclose to them all, when he would be walking the aisle with his heartthrob.

Looks like the time has finally come.

“I would like to inform everyone that Magda and I are getting married tomorrow morning at the marriage bureau” he announced and held Magda's hand.

“Tomorrow morning?” Santiago asked, staring at his brother strangely.

“Yes, tomorrow morning” Jimmy repeated, not giving a room for anyone to try to change his decision. It's tomorrow morning and he wants it so.

“And you're just telling us this evening?” Santiago demanded. What the heck! If he wants to make it such a wedding within this shortest time of notification, he could at least have told his immediate family.

“Yes, do you have a problem with that?” Jimmy snapped at him. If he decides to tell them the next morning,on his way to the bureau, what's anyone's business with that?

“Yes, a very big problem at that. That's not proper. You're having a wedding tomorrow morning and you're just informing us? Who does that to his own family?” Santiago retorted back.

Charlotte was dazed. She glanced at her mother in-law and they locked eyes. Nancy pouted her lips and Charlotte knew there's something wrong somewhere.

“Are you going to tell us what we should go for? Magda and I have agreed to be married this way and quietly. What the hell is wrong with that?

I don't need your faces there. I don't even want it to be known outside the walls of this house. Please respect our decision and let us be” Jimmy scowled.

“It's fine. Just do what you want and do it right” Simon declared. That's the final decision. Since Jimmy wants it that way, then they'll have it.

That night, no one said anything again. He said they should respect their decision. It means Magda was part of that decision too. Does she want something like that for herself?

Well, so let it be then.

Next morning, everyone woke up to get prepared for the wedding when they heard the honk of a car getting into the vast courtyard.

Santiago and Charlotte peeped out of their window and what they saw, sent them turning to glare at each other, speechless.
