Jimmy was startled and stared at his bride. What is going on, she's instigating a misunderstanding between his elder brother and himself. She's talking to Santiago and telling him lies that he'd been having affairs with his wife?
Both Charlotte and Nancy exchanged glances. They've never seen such senselessness before. Right before their eyes, she accused her husband and sister in-law of infidelity?
Charlotte was lost for words. What the hell is going on? Does she have anything against her that she couldn't think of something else to defame her except to accuse her of cheating on her husband with his brother?
They don't know what Santiago said but Magda hung up and glared at Jimmy with irritation and turned to Charlotte staring at her as if she was going to strip her naked with her eyes.
“What has this family done to you that you want to ruin our peace and happiness? You have to provide evidence to this accusation before every member of this family” Nancy stuttered.
“Do I need more evidence after what I saw a while ago? You can pretend to be blind to the affection and romantic act that Jimmy and Charlotte just displayed, mother.
But I cannot be a hypocrite like you mother. I saw it and I will speak out. Enough of this evil going on in this family.
You pride yourself about your family. Your kids and the happiness you all shared. But did you ever care about your son,Santiago,do you?” Magda demanded, sneering and eyeing her mother in-law.
“I can tolerate your madness but don't you dare disrespect my mother. When you weren't part of this family, mother built this home with father.
If you think you need to see a doctor, I'll readily take you to see a psychiatrist immediately. But don't drag my sister in-law and mother into your senselessness” Jimmy scowled.
She threw herself on Jimmy and started sobbing aloud “Why do you have to cheat on me with your elder brother's wife, why?”
Her tears already gave way and she was sobbing profusely. She didn't expect that Santiago would hang up on her after hissing out loud.
And now, she's lost face before her husband and everyone else. She was to instigate a disagreement and misunderstanding between the siblings and thereby ruining their parents happiness.
She doesn't know what the anonymous person would get from it,but she has to do so to keep father in-law safe and her parents from being harmed.
She's between the rock and a hard place. Her parents on one hand and her father in-law on the other. Both sides are people she loves. She can't let any of them fall.
Jimmy pulled her hand off his shirt and fling them off. He stormed off while Nancy and Charlotte walked past her towards the car speechless.
For the entire way back home, Nancy was quiet. She needs to have a private discussion with Simon over the attitude and personality of Magda.
She's not normal. It's either she has a mental disorder or she wants to ruin Blake's family. But why will Magda want to ruin them? She'd become a part of the family long before she tied the knot with Jimmy.
“Mother, what would Santiago think of me now? Isn't he going to feel humiliated by Magda's accusation?” Charlotte asked, interrupting Nancy's thoughts.
“He isn't going to think anything negative about you. You both love each other and that's the greatest bond that keeps hearts together.
The only thing he would be thinking about you is how hurt you're feeling at the moment. He would be worried that Magda's words would ruin your happiness…”Nancy assured.
There's something wrong somewhere. He needs to have a discussion with Simon. Magda never behaved this way in the past, if she suddenly starts behaving like this, there's something wrong somewhere.
And whatever it is, it is definitely not related to pregnancy hormones and it's disorder as claimed by her husband.
“Thanks mother” Charlotte appreciated, a genuine smile spread across her face. Her mother-in-law is the best.
When Nancy and Charlotte arrived home, they met a scene. Santiago was so furious that Simon had to intervene to salvage the situation.
“I will be leaving this house with my wife. I can't remain in a house where my wife is being disrespected” Santiago thundered.
How can his wife be taunted over and over? He can't take it when someone humiliates his wife. Whoever that person is, he'll fight to the end.
“Santiago, will you be calm and listen to me?” Nancy stepped forward. Her eldest son has always been a reasonable person since he was a child.
This has pushed him to the wall, it has gotten to his bottle neck and he cannot take it anymore. How on earth will Santiago leave her?
If Charlotte leaves her, she'll die soon. Her days would be numbered and her time would start ticking from the moment her daughter Charlotte left alongside her husband.
“I'm sorry Mom,but no, I won't listen to anyone. First, Magda hurt my wife by reminding her of Dominic’s death and said she might not be able to conceive again.
Isn't that too much to be uttered by a woman that was married yesterday to her senior in the home? And today, she accused Charlotte again of infidelity and she couldn't think of anyone else but with Jimmy.
Is my wife a piece of trash that Magda tramples on her! How dare she hurt my wife over and over again? I'll take my wife and leave this family, we don't want to belong here anymore” Santiago scowled and turned to glance at his wife.
Charlotte didn't say a word but her eyes were clouded with tears. She was staring at her husband. Not because he said they were leaving but because he stood up for her.
She was worried that he would feel humiliated but on the contrary he was unhappy that she was hurt instead. Their love for each other is such that they keep looking out for each other.
Nancy walked over and stood before Charlotte. She didn't say a word, but Charlotte understood her beyond words. How can she leave mother because of Magda?
Wouldn't the loose tongue woman turn to mother and continue her bashing and tongue lashing? How can she expose her mother to such a cruel and disrespectful person?
“Darling, go get your things, we're leaving now!” Santiago instructed. At this time,all he cares about is his wife. His mom can always be protected by dad and her bodyguards.
But Charlotte is his wife,his life and the most cherished person in his life besides his Mom. It's his responsibility to protect her from harm.
And now, the harm is coming from his family and he cannot turn his eyes away as if he didn't see anything. If she's free from harm outside, an insider can not ruin her happiness and mood before him and expect him to be quiet.
“No, I am not leaving” Charlotte replied, looking past her mother in-law and to her husband. Her eyes were cloudy with tears and she sniffled.
“What?” Santiago exclaimed.
