Nancy already pulled her daughter in-law into an embrace and consoled her. No woman would be comfortable to be reminded of her lost child but Magda just reminded her.
“Don't let her words get into you. I know you would give me many grandchildren. You will be fine, Santiago loves you, that should be more exciting…” Nancy consoled her.
Simon asked Santiago to take her to their room. That way, Santiago took her away, while Nancy went back to her room, followed closely behind by her husband.
“She thinks I can't be a mother again simply because Dominic died?” Charlotte sobbed. Why did Dominic have to die, why didn't he fight,and survive and be with her?
If he did,the likes of Magda wouldn't talk to her this way. But then, what happened to Magda? She was such a sweet soul and loving. What happened to her?
“She doesn't know what she's saying. What does she know about our marriage nor the decision for us not to have a baby yet?
She said those words to hurt you. You'll make her win if she succeeded in hurting you like you now make it appear to be. Shake it off, you'll be the mother of my children…” Santiago coaxed.
As soon as Jimmy got back into their room,he shut the door and turned abruptly to glare at Magda “How could you speak to my mother like that?
You think I am happy doing this? You think I don't know how to deal with your threats and you control things the way you think they should go?
Now, you can speak to my mom in such a disrespectful manner. Are you crazy or something? Are you mad?” He bellowed.
She wants them to be married to keep the pregnancy and he agreed. It was her idea for the wedding at such an hour,he agreed. Just to please her for the sake of his unborn baby.
And now, it's ridiculous that she has to let everyone know she's pregnant in such a manner. She went ahead and mocked sister in-law too?
“Hissing…remove my shoes and massage my toes, they're hurting” Magda instructed, sitting by the edge of the bed and raising her legs.
“Did you hear what I just said?” Jimmy asked, surprised at the response that she felt he deserves. What the heck! Why is Magda like this, is this happening to her due to pregnancy hormones?
“You are deaf, I guess. I don't want to be troubled or bothered. If being married to you would trouble me, I'll just terminate this pregnancy and get divorced with you” she threatened.
“Getting divorced is not an issue at all. But what I won't tolerate is you, touching my unborn baby. If you dare me, I'll strangle you!” Jimmy declared and walked away, leaving her stretched out legs.
Magda sighed softly. How she wished she could get it done and walk away quickly. She doesn't know how long she would succeed in amassing hatred for herself.
There was no breakfast that morning. The servants served everyone in their rooms. Jimmy soon set out and went to the office.
For that entire day, he wasn't himself. He'd removed the wedding band and kept it at home. His mom never got displeased with him like she felt that morning.
He saw her eyes, filled with pain and disappointment. Insisting on getting married to Magda in such a low key way was not what got her mad, but the time they went to have it done.
How about dad, he definitely was feeling the same way Mom was feeling. He failed them at this point in his life. How disappointing he'd become.
“I'm sorry Mom” he muttered silently within him. He hopes that one day he will be able to explain things to them. The protective measures a father put up for his child was what drove him this far.
But Magda, if she continues like this, he would not be having any more children with her in the future. She's not the first to be pregnant,but pregnancy hormones were already using her so badly.
After stepping out of her wedding dress, she got into a plain dress when her phone chirped with a text. Magda's heart started beating fast.
She's doing exactly what they want. What do they want this time? She got her phone,it's a text from the anonymous person again.
“Good job today. But a new instruction for you…”

In New Jersey, Jessica decided that she would take her new job. She called her Mom to seek her opinion and she was happy, urging her to accept the generous offer.
She got dressed and placed a call across to Adrian “I've decided to take the job. Thanks” she wanted to tell him that she'd like to check out of the hotel but she presently has nowhere to put up with.
“Glad you made a positive decision. I'll have Clem pick you up from the hotel. We'll arrange an apartment for you , I'll speak with Patrick about that..” Adrian informed.
Jessica reported to Patrick's office. When he saw her,he sighed softly. He'd looked forward to seeing her again. Despite finding it off to be working with her,he cannot deny the fact that it interests him that she came.
His thoughts kept lingering to her. This isn't the first time he was getting involved with a woman on a one night stand basis,but this one seemed to have taken a part of his heart with her.
“I'm glad you made the right decision…” Patrick stuttered. He really cannot tell if it's the right decision but he knew she made the decision that he wanted to make.
“Thank you. And I want to appreciate you for giving me this privilege sir” Jessica appreciated. She didn't forget to be modest. She's before her employer now.
Patrick stared at her for a while,their eyes locked until Jessica looked away. His eyes send shivers down her spine.
“You're welcome” Patrick replied, walking away and adding “I'll have my secretary take you to your office while you do some paperwork and documentation”
Jessica nodded and soon his secretary walked in,a beautiful young intern student. Smart and dressed in a blue pencil skirt and a cream coloured blouse.
“Hello Ms Jessica. I’m Lena.” the secretary introduced herself, stretching her hand to Jessica for a shake. She smiled and appeared professional. They both were introduced to each other while Patrick gave Lena an instruction.
Jessica was taken to her office. As she stepped in Lena said,a broad smile plastered on her face “The President fired the former manager”
Lena said, helping her settle into her office. She needed to tell this new manager to avoid the same mistake happening.
Jessica wanted to be quiet but her curiosity took the hold of her “Fired? What did he do wrong?” That's one thing about these big companies, they can fire someone at the slightest mistake and get someone else almost immediately for a replacement.
“It's a she” Lena corrected and continued, placing her hands on her waist, standing akimbo, “She crossed her boundaries then he fired her” she concluded and walked out.
