Sezal..."
That tiny figure turned around and Arzal's eyes widened by watching those big tears in her doe grey eyes. He dashed towards her and kneeled down before her.
"Hey! my love. What happened? Why are you crying?" Arzal asked, worriedly while cupping her small face.
He noticed her entire mouth was covered with chocolate. Arzal immediately cleaned it gently with his coat's sleeves and then wiped her eyes.
"What happened, Sezal? Why are ..." he stopped when she wrapped her tiny arms around his neck.
"M.. mamma scolded me," she softly whimpered. Arzal became stunned. He hugged her back and started caressing her head
"What? She scolded you but why?"
"Because she lied to me about her test grades,"
Arzal turned his head and saw Seraphina coming inside. By her face, he got it that she was angry. He got up while carrying the whimpering Sezal in his arms.
"Her teacher informed me today that she has gotten very low grades in her test and yesterday when I had asked her about her grades, she told me her teacher hasn't given them the checking grades yet,"
Arzal gulped by hearing Seraphina. Now this was a big issue. He tossed his head at his daughter.
"Sezal, why did you lie to mamma, love?" He asked, gently.
Her big silver eyes filled with more tears. Her pale cheeks reddened.
"I'm sorry, p..papa. " she sobbed. His heart ached at her tiny tears. He immediately wiped them.
"Ssh... don't cry, Sezal. It's okay,"
"No, it's not okay, Arzal," Seraphina raised her voice. She was terribly angry. Arzal sighed
"Let it be for now, Sera. She's already crying,"
"No, put her down. I am still not done talking with her," Seraphina uttered.
"But Sera...."
"Put her down right now, Arzal,"
Arzal exhaled and looked at his tiny life. She was looking scared but he knew nobody could think better for her than her own mother. He placed her down on the floor.
"Come here, Sezal,"
Sezal trailed her doe eyes at her mamma and then looked at her papa. By looking down, she slowly took her tiny steps towards her mamma.
She held her ears and stuttered while looking down.
"I..I am so sorry, mamma,"
Seraphina sighed and crouched down before her.
"Why did you lie to mamma, Sezal?"
Sezal swallowed before answering.
"Because my grades were b...bad,"
Seraphina palmed her face and made her look at her.
"Sezal, mamma isn't angry because you have gotten bad grades. Mamma is angry because you have hidden it from her," she tried to make her daughter understand.
"Has mamma or papa ever scolded you for getting low grades?"
Sezal shook her head.
"Then why did you lie to mamma and papa? They have always told you to do your best in your tests whether you would get high or low grades. We have always taught you if you get good grades then very good and if you don't, then mamma papa will help you in your studies more and then our Sezal will surely do more better in her next test,"
Little Sezal heard her mamma thoroughly.
"Sezal...it's not about what you get in the end, my life. The more important thing is that you're doing your best to have it and I know my Sezal always does her best in her exams and I'm sure she will study more hard and will achieve more good grades next time,"
Sezal threw her tiny arms around her Mamma's neck, causing Seraphina to smile.
"Sorry, mamma for lying,"
Seraphina picked her up in her arms and then uttered while cleaning her teary eyes.
"Mamma will only accept her Sezal's sorry if she promises mamma to never lie to her or papa again?"
Sezal nodded her head cutely and buried her face in her Mamma's neck.
"Princess Promise, mamma,"
Seraphina smiled hearing her words and then looked at Arzal who was staring at both of them with so much love, warmth and adoration.
He walked towards them and then kissed Sezal's head.
"So is my Sezal happy now?"
Sezal pulled back and smiled at her father.
"Sorry papa for lying,"
Arzal beamed and took her in his arms.
"My love is already forgiven because papa loves her Sezal soooooo much," he pecked her cheek.
"Sezal loves you more, papa," she giggled and kissed his cheek
"And what about mamma?" Seraphina said cutely pouting.
"Sezal loves mamma too,"
"I love my baby more and more," Seraphina kissed her daughter's nose.
"So now what about Sezal's papa, Sezal's mamma?"
Seraphina chuckled hearing Arzal and then pecked his lips.
"Sezal's mamma loves Sezal's papa very much,"
"Well I love my Sezal and her mamma the most," he uttered, smiling.
"By the way, I have a surprise for my Sezal and her mamma,"
Both mother's and daughter's eyes widened in excitement. Arzal took out something from his pocket and his wife and daughter almost jumped in happiness.
"Chocolate," both the girls uttered in unison and snatched the chocolate from him.
"Hey! Save a little for me too," he chuckled and then they all laughed.
Arzal caged his entire world in his arms and pecked both of their heads and finally that was his beautiful destination of the journey of HIS FORBIDDEN OBSESSION....
