The next day.
Mia always look forward to her weekends but she felt really indifferent about this one. Today being a Saturday, She woke up late and tired. Tired because she didn't sleep on time. The memories of her one-night stand with the sexy stranger kept her awake.
She sat up on the bed and meditated for a couple of minutes; roughly thinking about how messed up her life was. Mia came back to reality when she heard her phone buzz beside her. Seeing that it was her elder sister, Tessie, She picked up immediately.
"Morning Tess."
"I'm really mad at you, Mia. Didn't we agree that you weren't going to keep anything away from me?"
Mia sighed. "I'm sorry, Tess. It's just that," She paused. "It's so embarrassing to talk about." She tried to hold back tears.
"Nothing is embarrassing when it has to do with you, my love. I'm your sister, I should be there to share every pain and joy with you." Tessie said. She was the firstborn of all four kids. After the death of their Mother, She became extra protective of her siblings and was always there for them.
"It's just so unfortunate that I have to go through all of these. To think I gave Chris my all and it ended this way. I really thought he was the one for me." She sniffed.
"I feel your pain, Mia and I'm very sorry that you're going through this. Just so you know, you're not the one with a problem. Christoph doesn't deserve you in any way and I'm glad he's out of your life. You are an amazing person Sis, you look out for others even more than you look out for yourself. Someone better, who will treat you like the Queen you truly are will come your way soon, My darling."
Mia shook her head. Remembering she was on a voice call and her elder sister couldn't see her, She spoke. "I'm done with men. From now till the rest of my life, I'm just going to focus on myself, my happiness, and my career!"
Tessie sighed on the other end. She clearly understood the reason behind her sister's decision. But all the same, it is not her wish for Mia to end up alone. She prayed that her younger Sister finds her soulmate soon.
"It's okay to be tired and it's okay to take a break from relationships but don't give up on love. You're still young and you have a very bright future ahead of you. I believe the one who's meant for you is still out there. You deserve your happily ever after, baby sis and I'm sure you will get it."
"No!" Mia shook her head. All men are the same, except for Dad and James. "How's James by the way?" She asked after Tessie's husband.
"No babe. There are still some good ones out there. Guard your heart but please be alert so your soulmate won't pass you by."
"James is fine. We planned on coming over this evening. We will come along with your niece and nephew. Seeing them will surely cheer you up."
"Thanks. I'll be expecting you all. I'll go grocery shopping once I'm done cleaning up. Any specific thing you all want to eat when you come?"
"Don't worry, we will come with food. And if there's anything you need, just send the list to me. I'll shop for you on our way to your place."

The first thing Colton did when he woke up was to take a shower. He had no idea when Chad was going to buzz him so he wanted to be prepared. After getting all cleaned up, he had breakfast and then decided to do some work to while away time.
Colt finally received the call he was expecting at 11 am. Chad told him where they were and the moment he ended the call, he rushed out of his room.
In twenty minutes, he arrived at the venue. A warehouse in a very quiet area. He unbuckled his seatbelt, put on his shades, and got down from his car.
On getting to the entrance of the warehouse, he saw Chad standing outside, waiting for him.
"You're right on time, Boss. He's been giving us a hard time. I've been tempted to shut him up but you ordered me not to touch him."
"Thanks for being patient. This shouldn't take long. I'll be done with him in no time."
Chad nodded. He led the way into the warehouse and after walking for a couple of seconds, they got to where Chris was. He was tied to a chair and his mouth was covered with tape.
"I know you told us not to take it too far but he just wouldn't cooperate. He wouldn't keep his mouth shut." Chad justified as Chris wriggled where he was seated, trying to free himself from the rope tied around him.
"Take off the tape," Colton instructed Chad.
"You bastard, I'll make sure you all pay dearly for all this. Who gave you all the right to kidnap me and tie me up? You all are going to rot in prison for this!!!!" He spat.
"I would keep shut if I were you!" Chad advised the angry-looking Chris.
"Who the hell are you to tell me to keep shut after trampling on my right?" He said at the top of his voice.
Two of Chad's boys were also present in the room. They helped in bringing Chris to the warehouse. One of them came forward and placed a chair before Colt. Colton thanked the guy and took his seat. He was just a couple of steps away from where Chris was.
"Who the hell are you? Who gave you guys the right to subject me to torture? I swear you all are going to regret this." Chris directed at Colton. It annoyed him to the core that Colt hadn't said anything. Instead, he was giving Boss vibes since he came.
Colton crossed his right leg over his left one and took off his shades. "What the hell did Mia see in you?" He said more to himself but everyone in the room could hear. He was so disgusted by Chris already and he couldn't imagine how Mia could love someone like him.
"That whore? She sent you all?" Chris spat.
"Chad!" Colt said and within a twinkle of an eye, Chad appeared before Chris, holding a gun against Chris's forehead. Christoph swallowed painfully as his heartbeat increased.
