Contract With Alpha Theodore

Chapter 51

Ch. 51 / 220 Apr 30, 2026

Vanya's POV

"There are no cameras here, and it's noisy outside. No one will notice this small private room. You're afraid that our meeting will be known by Cliff or Edwin, so how dare you touch me here?"

I sat down on the sofa leisurely, picked up an apple, and took a bite.

Such places were not unfamiliar to me. Private rooms with an S-level of secrecy like this were usually where big shots conducted secret transactions.

The confidentiality was extremely high. Not only would no word leak, but not even a fly could escape unnoticed.

Looking at Wilmot, I said with a hint of disdain, "Wilmot, put away your childish ideas of threatening people. You can't scare me at all."

The kidnapping by Jasper last time was much more serious than this. Compared to that, Wilmot's little tricks were nothing.

Wilmot's face became a bit awkward. My deliberate provocation made his expression even more gloomy.

"Do you really think I dare not do anything to you?" he said fiercely.

"I'm right here, so do whatever you want."

I was clear that as long as I was Cliff's wife, Wilmot would never dare to act rashly.

Sure enough, after a while, Wilmot didn't take any real action.

I didn't want to be too ruthless, so I softened my tone and said, "I admit that. When I first saw you, I knew you were Wilmot. What I did at that time was not to attract your attention, but I thought it was a pity that your talents were wasted, so I wanted to use a provocation to make you come to Wolfe to study."

Half of what I said was true, and half was false. I was calculating how to resolve the conflict between us.

Wilmot obviously realized that I was giving him a way down, but he quickly countered, "My talents? What talents?"

In the eyes of the people in Los Angeles, he was just a notorious playboy, so unruly that Edwin sent him abroad for training, just to smooth his temper.

In everyone's established impression, playboys were always equated with fools, and no one would think he had any talents.

I explained patiently, "Just because you glanced at my test paper during the exam and knew that I deliberately didn't do the last question, it proves that you actually know all those questions very well, but just didn't want to do them. You can observe people in detail and perceive my thoughts, which is enough to show that you are very capable. You just don't want to show it."

My words seemed to have had some effect, and Wilmot's anger was significantly reduced.

He sat aside, drank a bottle of wine in one go, and then asked, "What else?"

"I guess you feel that the Hammond family has enough with Edwin," I said thoughtfully, propping my chin on my hand. "It seems that the rumors about discord between you brothers are false. You love Edwin."

The head of the Hammond family and his wife died early, and Edwin began to take over the entire family at the age of seventeen, which had been ten years now.

As the eldest brother was like a father, it was hard to believe that Wilmot, the younger brother who Edwin had always protected, would be at odds with him.

I remember in my previous life, when Edwin passed away, Wilmot was upset at the cemetery for seven days.

On the eighth day, he changed as if he had become a different person.

Later, when Wilmot took over the Hammond family, his decisive and forceful methods caused a sensation in Los Angeles at the time.

It could be seen that the relationship between the brothers was extraordinary, just not well known to outsiders.

Not knowing whether I had guessed his thoughts correctly, Wilmot turned his head away and said gruffly, "Don't think you understand me."

"I don't. I'm just guessing," I stood up and said, "Alright, Wilmot, I've been here long enough. Can I go back now?"

"Wait," Wilmot frowned, obviously not intending to let me leave so early.

I said helplessly, "You've threatened and retaliated. What else do you want?"

Wilmot's POV

Vanya had been here for so long and hadn't suffered any loss.

On the contrary, I felt very suffocated and short of breath.

I was a bit depressed. I had never fallen so many times on a woman.

"Alpha Cliff has another woman in Los Angeles. Do you know that?"

"I know," she said nonchalantly.

Seeing Vanya's indifferent expression, I asked doubtfully, "You don't care?"

"It's just a business marriage. What's there to care about?"

Vanya shrugged indifferently and said, "Wilmot, are you trying to sow discord between Alpha Cliff and me with this question?"

I snorted coldly and said, "I just want to say that this man is not reliable, and you two are not suitable."

"I know."

"Thank you for your kind reminder. I'm leaving now."

Vanya waved to me, and as she was about to walk out of the private room, I took off my outer garment and threw it over Vanya's head.

"The place is crowded and complicated. Protect yourself, and don't get into someone else's car casually."
