"Melinda is not a major issue. The real reason I came to find you today is something else," Theodore said, taking out a stack of documents from the side and handing them to me.
"These are what you wanted. The approval has come through," Theodore's tone carried a hint of faint achievement.
"So fast?" I was indeed surprised, I didn't expect Theodore to act so quickly.
I hurriedly took the documents, and when I saw the red seal on them, a smile involuntarily appeared on my face.
Located in a slightly hidden part of downtown, I bought a building and a plot of land with my own funds.
This was after I transferred the money my father gave me to another account.
Of course, my own money was not enough to buy a piece of land, so I cooperated with Theodore.
Now, Theodore had been helping me keep an eye on the renovation.
I had many inconveniences and couldn't handle this matter personally, so I added some labor costs and asked Theodore to help prepare.
All of this was done secretly, and until now that the business license had been smoothly obtained, I had finally felt relieved, as if a big stone had fallen to the ground.
Derrick steadily parked the car in the garage. At the moment, this building was still empty, with few people inside.
The three of us took the elevator straight to the top floor. Standing here, we could enjoy the beautiful scenery of the city, and the location was hidden, not easy to be noticed.
Derrick asked me curiously, "Vanya, you already have the Dalton family as a support, why bother to buy this building? Isn't there enough real estate in the Dalton family?"
I slowly explained, "The Dalton family is now like a rickety tree, seemingly huge, but the foundation is unstable. I can't pin all my hopes on it. I have to find a way to get out of the shell."
"So you bought that piece of sewage land, and now that land is worth more than ten billion."
Theodore suddenly said this, which made Derrick's eyes widen in surprise.
He looked silly and probably didn't expect me to hide such a move.
I was also quite surprised when I heard this number.
"Theodore, are you also foolish? That piece of sewage land is worth ten billion?" Derrick made an exaggerated gesture to touch Theodore's forehead, as if to confirm whether he was delirious.
Theodore gently knocked his hand down and calmly said, "The approval from Los Angeles has come down."
"Approval?" Derrick scratched his head like a monkey, his face full of confusion, muttering, "What's this all about?!"
I slowly explained to them, "For the sake of urban environmental protection and greening, all sewage areas are fully funded by Los Angeles, so that piece of sewage will soon become a green belt, and I don't have to spend a penny."
"What the fuck?" Derrick still looked skeptical.
I continued, "Not only that, according to the area, I will also receive a corporate subsidy of two billion in value."
"How much is it?" Derrick directly jumped up from the chair, his expression as if he had heard an Arabian Nights tale.
Theodore added calmly, "Moreover, the original holder of the surrounding land is real estate tycoon Stephen. Because of this sewage area turned into a green belt, Stephen has started a new project to transform the surrounding area into high-end properties and a series of supporting facilities."
"Is this going to rise from the ground?" Derrick blurted out.
"And Vanya wants to build a large-scale commercial street on part of this land," Theodore said calmly.
I raised my eyebrows slightly, curiously asking, "How do you know that?"
Theodore didn't answer, but I knew in my heart that with his brilliant mind, this must be the best plan he could think of, and it just happened to be the plan I was planning secretly.
Derrick hesitated for a moment and then raised his concerns, "But building a new commercial street is very costly."
"With the subsidized two billion, plus Stephen is going to build high-end properties around, we will easily attract some investments later, and the funding issue will be easily solved," I responded confidently. I had already thought about this for a long time.
Derrick heard this and couldn't help but give me a thumbs-up, admiring, "Amazing."
"Thank you," I smiled slightly.
"But I still don't get it. This approval just came down today; none of us have heard any news before. How did you know that urban greening would include this land?" Derrick looked at me suspiciously.
This was not something that the eye could easily notice, and there was no way there could be a leak.
And I had never been involved in real estate development before. To say that I can predict the future was too ridiculous.
Sure enough, Theodore also looked at me, his eyes with a hint of inquiry.
