Anya’s heart froze as she stared at the red colored letters flashing on the screen. Her breath nearly stopped as she can’t believe this was happening.
‘The details and inside information was leaked to the public earlier this morning. It was just recently known who would handle the Prime Project, and it was the rising name, Reignya. What had happened to cause this great disturbance?’
The voice of the reporter rang all throughout Anya’s studio and everyone watched in trepidation. Anya’s two assistants rushed towards Anya.
“Miss, what happened?” They asked in fear. They just got this project, how could something like this happen?
This question rang again and again in Anya’s ears as she was wondering the same thing too, what happened?
Her body trembled as she rushed towards her office. She turned towards her cabinet and frantically went to it.
But her heart only dropped when she saw the situation inside. Empty.
The cabinet was empty and the documents containing the Prime Project was gone. Her knees weakened as she gasped.
A sudden ring sounded from her table, and she bit her lips. Any call right now felt like a nightmare to her.
What would she do? How could this happen? What should she do?
Anya asked this again and again, but her mind turned blank. The calls kept coming one and another almost at the same time that it made Anya dizzy.
“Miss!” Jessie rushed to her while holding the company phone. “The Star organizer is calling. Miss..” Jessie said with nervousness.
Anya turned to the phone and closed her eyes tight. The next moment she opened them, she took the phone bravely and pressed the answer button.
“Ms. Anya, what is happening?! How could such a thing occur?!” The frantic and aggressive voice from the other line immediately sounded.
“Ma’am..” Anya tried to answer but she was immediately cut off. “This is a very big project! We gave it to your hands
“Where is your professionalism?! We trusted you, and now the project is leaked! How could you take responsibility for this?!” The voice kept scolding Anya and she could only accept it.
Because it’s the truth.
She was careless. How could she let this happen in her hands? Anya was biting her lips so tightly it almost drew blood.
Many accusations and scolding came out from the organizers mouth, and Anya could only pathetically.
“Ma’am, I don’t know what happened. It was safe here in our studio, but suddenly.. I’m sorry Ma’am..” Anya said dejectedly because it’s the only thing she could say.
“This is unacceptable! We will be suspending the cooperation and ask you a large amount for the damages. This is no small matter, Ms. Anya. We are so disappointed with you.” These last words shattered Anya’s heart and hope that she painstakingly built all this time.
The call was hung up and Anya could only drop the phone, depressed. She could only drop down on her chair and sigh problematically.
What happened? No matter how much she asks this, she couldn’t think of any answers. She knew she tuck the documents away safely in the cabinet. She was not such a careless person to leave very important documents anywhere.
If the documents were put securely in their places, then it could only be taken out from the inside.
But who?
“Where’s Randy?” Anya asked. Her question was harmless at first. She wanted to know who was the last person in the studio last night, and she wanted people to brainstorm this matter together.
But Jessie’s answer made her froze.
“Randy didn’t come to work.” Jessie answered in hesitance.
Anya raised her eyes to look at Jessie. Then her mind turned towards Randy and his behavior last night.
She tried to brush it off, but she clearly noticed he was not himself. He was so quiet and serious, that something was preoccupying his mind. He didn’t talk and laugh much with the others either.
And now, such an important matter was happening in their studio, but he was nowhere to be found?
Anya couldn’t hardly believe it. she trusted Randy so much, and he was such an honest and upright person as she knew her.
He couldn’t have done this, right?
Anya tried to comfort herself, but she couldn’t let go of all this suspicions and puzzle pieces. But still, she wanted to give Randy the benefit of the doubt.
So she could only turn to Jessie.
“Jessie, what happened last night? You went out with Randy, right? What did you do? What did he say?” Anya asked one after another.
Jessie froze in her place as she heard her miss ask. Is she suspecting Randy? But how could that be..
She suddenly remembered what happened last night. His sudden breaking ties with her, and his weird expressions.
She lowered her head as the feelings and scenes from last night resurfaced again. “Miss, Randy, Randy broke up with me.” Jessie answered with a tremble.
Anya was surprised. She never thought such a thing happened.
She had already noticed earlier that there was something going on between Jessie and Randy, and she was not that strict of a boss to forbid dating within employees.
But what happened last night was actually this? Randy broke up with Jessie? Why?
The suspicions on Anya’s heart grew more and more. Is he cutting ties with everyone here? For what? For the things he did?
Anya once again closed her eyes as she can’t accept all of this. And her doubts were voiced by Jessie.
“Miss, did Randy do this?” Jessie whispered, and her voice felt like crying.
Anya knew she felt bad, because she too, herself, felt hurt about all of this. She trusted Randy, and she even had a quarrel with Damon for defending him.
Anya saw him as a person, his talents, and merits, and she can’t phantom he could actually do this to her.

She needed an explanation. She wants to hear it from Randy himself. She opened her eyes and a determined look flashed.
