Soon the day of the bidding had arrived. After that night, Anya and Damon did not have a chance to talk. She was very busy, and Damon did not go to her anymore.
The past few days, although she was preoccupied, the anxiousness in her heart did not dissipate. And as she sat on the bidding hall, her heart was still uneasy.
But right now, it was not time to day dream. The bidding was about to start. She was with Randy, and she can’t help but look around while making a statement.
“I hope we stand a chance.” She can’t help but said. As far as she knows, many big companies had also wanted to join this bidding project too. Anya could only take a risk and join these big companies.
“Don’t worry. Everything will go smooth tonight.” Randy’s ambiguous voice rang beside Anya. She turned to him and saw his expression was serious. Brushing off his words, she only took it as a positive and motivating words.
She smiled and just focused on the front. The host went into the stage and welcomed the delegates. Next, the bidding officially started.
The host first announced the participants of the bidding. And it surprised Anya.
Because the several big and powerful companies was not called. They were their biggest competitors, and with them not included in the bidding, the possibility of Anya’s studio winning increased.
“The big companies didn’t join? What happened?” Anya can’t help but whisper to Randy. Randy knew she would ask this, so he opened his table and showed her the new.
“They withdraw for various reason. It was reported earlier this. Take a look at this.” Randy gave Anya the tablet.
Anya read the articles and she found out that it was true, the companies withdrew for various reasons. Some of them were incompatibility with the project, some other big projects they also have and so on.
Anya nodded and thought, their studio should do well then. They can’t let this good opportunity slide.
But Anya’s worries were actually not needed. Because contrary to her expectations, the bidding went very smoothly. And that is smooth for their side.
Because as the proposals were projected, she found out that the other’s proposal was not as good as she thought. There were some well established businesses, but as she judged their ideas, she didn’t think these will be a major threat for their proposal.
When it was their proposal was projected, it earned several nods and praise from the people inside the hall. Because compared to the other proposals, theirs looked more promising.
Expectation and anticipation grew in Anya’s heart. suddenly, she thought very positive to their performance tonight.
Later it was judgement time and there was as small break for the people in the hall. During this break, lots of businessmen came to their table to inquire about their proposal and their brand. Anya felt very rewarding at this and answered their questions properly.
“The proposal is very well made.” A business man complimented and the others followed along. “Thank you. Me and my team planned meticulously for this with an objective in mind for industrialization and public appreciation.” Anya answered professionally and amicably.
“I also heard the arrangements for the application in the bidding was very efficient. Yours were on the top of the list and all the requirements were passed timely and detailed.” Another businessman pointed out.
Anya was pleasantly surprised about this and turned to Randy. She left the arrangements to him, and hearing his meticulous work for it, she felt very appreciative.
Randy also looked at Anya and nodded slightly at her. this made Anya smiled and patted his shoulder in front of every businessman.
“Well, this is my talented aide and associate. He made all the arrangements for the bidding.” She announced her recognition for Randy in front of them.
In return, Randy also received heaps of recognition. He only nodded and showed a small smile at this and continued to stand quietly beside Anya.
Soon after, the bidding began once again. And this time, it was time for the announcement of who will get the Prime Project.
Anya’s heart started to raise nervously as she listened to the announcement in tension. When she heard their familiar name being announced, her mind blanked for a moment. Did she hear it right? Did they win the project?
If not for Randy tapping her shoulders and the businessmen coming to their table for congratulations, Anya might have had a hard time believing this.
But then it was really true! They are the one chosen to handle the Prime Project! She stood up and hugged Randy as congratulations.
“We did it!” She cheered with a big smile. Randy also smiled and nodded.
Anya turned to towards the businessmen and accepted their handshakes. They congratulated her team, and she gave her heartfelt thank you.
The organizer approached them and led them in front for the contract signing.
When they followed, this made Anya felt everything was real. As she signed the contract right then and there, and received the certificate and the Prime Project documents, she felt the realness and actualization of everything she thought will be far ahead.
She smiled brightly and her heart felt full. When she first opened her small studio, she never thought she would reach this far in such a small time. a lot has happened recently, and this made her grow so much and build herself as a person.
This is just the beginning.
They took pictures with the organizers, the handlers, and some government officials for this big project. They shook hands and talked about some of the details.
With all of the many things going around her, Anya thought of the man who helped and inspired her greatly. She wanted to share this great joy and achievement of hers at this moment.
When she found an opening, she excused herself to go to a secluded place and took her phone out.
She wanted to share her happiness and finally fix the feud they had because of Randy.
This successful event had happened, that means his suspicions for Randy was a mistake. He misunderstood Randy, but the truth, the man really wanted to help her and work for her. This can also calm his mind and anxiousness from Randy.
Anya was waiting for Damon to pick up, but the call rang for a few times until the she heard the operator’s voice. He did not pick up.
She tried for three more times, but it was still the same. Maybe he was busy?
Anya gave up and planned to call him later instead. Her heart was very full and happy that she didn’t feel disappointed at this. She then went back to the hall to face the people involved with the project.
There was still many things to do.
