“Thank you,” Amanda thanked her but in an aloof and cold voice.
Anya accepted this and bowed her head. She tried to have even just a topic between them and then she saw Amanda’s bracelet.
“Madame’s bracelet is very beautiful.” Anya complimented. It was true, the bracelet was simple but elegant. The piece was timeless, truly a rare gem that will suit anyone.
Amanda looked at the bracelet in her hand and her eyes glinted. She raised her strict eyes to Anya and answered her with a provocative smile.
“Of course, it is. Also, this will be given to Veronica on her birthday.” Amanda said almost nonchalantly that it’s meaning became even worse.
Anya froze from this. She knew Amanda was still against her, but now she was even this hostile. She sighed.
She remembered Veronica and her strong insistence for Damon to the point of being hostile to Anya. She then remembered Veronica’s upbringing and upbringing. She came from a prominent family and was raised with richness and class.
Yet, her actions right now says otherwise. She’s very desperate, throwing herself to a man who doesn’t have her in his heart.
Sadly, her good bearing was thrown way from pursuing a man who doesn’t want her.
“The thing she lacks is not a bracelet, but a man that loves her.” Anya blurted it out without her control.
She was startled with her own words and immediately straightened up on her seat and looked up at Amanda in trepidation.
Amanda looked at Anya with wide eyes as she heard her impetuous words. She actually had the nerves to talk that way to Veronica, does she think of herself to highly now?
The middle aged woman’s gaze to Anya became even more colder. And her eyes became even more sharper.
“Because you stole the man.” Amanda’s voice was low and sharp, her hostility showing.
Anya almost smacked herself in her head for spoiling the mood. But it already happened. The Madame was already hostile with her, so she could only respond to her.
She also doesn’t want to be deemed as a man snatcher, Damon clearly said Veronica was not his fiancé, and if she really was, Damon would never ignore the woman like that. Veronica was just hitting her own foot.
“Madame, that’s not what I mean,” Anya sighed and looked straight at Amanda Castellano. “Love, it cannot be forced. Only when two people is in love will it be fruitful. A twisted melon is not sweet, and a forced love will not give a good life.”
Anya had been put in this situation, then she will speak her mind. This will be her response. “Damon doesn’t love Veronica, and if you marry them, would he be happy? Also, Veronica who isn’t love, will live in a loveless marriage, will she be happy too? What kind of life will this two people have?” She said in a breath, her voice was soft, but it held conviction.
What she is saying right now is not just for her, but also for all the people involved. She experienced it first hand to be in a marriage where love was no where to be found. There will be no warmth, no care and no respect.
Veronica is very impulsive today, but who knew if someday she will regret it? Are money and power the only thing that matters in their world? If so, what kind of life they will live?
Anya could think of best and the worst, but she wouldn’t risk it. Because there is a child involved. If only it was between to people, then they can both jump in the uncertainness.
But there is a child in between, and it is a responsibility of a parent to ensure the good life of their children. It is the responsibility of Damon, as well as Anya. Even though she is not a conventional parent, but she is still his mother, and she wants the best for him.
In addition to this, something whispers in the depths of her heart.
And that is, she loves Damon too. She wanted for him to be happy, and she wanted to be with him. She wanted to give her son a complete family.
She wanted to give herself a family too.
While Amanda at the sides, didn’t have it easy too, her thoughts were going quite in the same direction with Anya.
These words were told to her face to face, and for a while she was at a lost. The Madame Castellano was speechless from Anya’s response.

In Allen’s room, Damon was assisting his son to be dressed. They were taking quite a while because the little guy was being meticulous of what he would wear.
The child saw the others dressed prettily, especially Anya who was very beautiful today, so he too, wanted to dress up.
“Mon, you can where this now.” Damon was feeling helpless at this moment as he showed the white shirt and pants to the boy.
“Will Monmon be handsome?” The little child asked innocently. Damon chuckled at this and pinched his son’s cheeks.
“Mon will look good at anything. We father and son are peerless and handsome, no matter what we wear, we’ll look good.” Damon coaxed and convinced his child with his sweet words.
Allen who was listening to this, looked like he was struck with a realization. He put his hand on his chin and nodded like a little adult.
“Yes yes, Monmon handsome!” He then cheered with his little fist in the air. Damon could only laugh and help him with his clothes.
While dressing up, Allen kept chattering excitedly. “Daddy, Aunt Anya eat here?” He asked.
Damon was a little dissatisfied when he heard this. He liked it more when his son called Anya mother, but he knew this wasn’t the time to tell the little one yet. So he could only nod solemly. “Yey!” Allen cheered happily.
When he was done dressing up, he ran to the mirror to look at himself. He appreciated his cuteness and turned to Damon again.
“Look good?” The child asked.
Damon felt his son was too smart as he was acting like he knows what his doing. He could only laugh while shaking his head as he picked up his son.
“En, looked good. You really got your parent’s genes.”
