All the people in the room were still caught in surprise. And the one who was most stunned speechless was Veronica.
She can’t believe this was happening. Veronica stared at the man before her.
He was nothing like the time she left him. in an expensive suit, cold gaze and confident stance, he was like a different person.
Like a diamond in a rough.
And a diamond she let pass by. Veronica bit lip in frustration.
The man who was so stupidly in love with her was actually the heir of a world wide enterprise?! Here she was blackmailing to death another man while she let go of such a good guy.
If she knew from the start Randy’s identity, she certainly wouldn’t do such a thing! What kind of horrible plot twist is this?!
Veronica started to question all the decisions she made. No, this can’t be. She needed to get things back together! “Randy!” She called out.
Veronica stepped forward near Randy and showed him a soft and pitiful expression. “Don’t do this. You can’t do this to me, right.” She said gently and looked at Randy with emotional eyes.
“I regret what I did. I know I hurt you and it kills me.” Veronica dramatically said as she stepped closer.
Randy only looked at Veronica’s acting with cold eyes. He eyed her up and down and maintained a stern stare.
But this did not stop Veronica.
“I know you still love me. If you will cooperate with me, this time, I promise, I’ll marry you.” Veronica lovingly said.
The whole room became silent.
Damon was looking at this scene with amusement as he looked at George and Andrei’s party. George was very at a lost with all that was happening. Seeing what his daughter was doing and receiving Damon’s looks, he didn’t know what to feel.
When the words were let out, Randy could only give off a sneer. “Ms. Ambrosia think so highly of herself.” Randy’s cold voice rang.
The indifferent address and look the man was giving her hit Veronica hard. She looked incredulously at him.
Randy saw this and smirked.
“I already have a girlfriend. And I will help Miss Anya rebuild her studio. What I did in the past was the greatest regret of my life.” He continued as he stepped back from Veronica. Like she was a disgusting and contagious disease.
Veronica stared at him in agape. No he didn’t. He didn’t just look at me disgustingly. He was very much in love of me, she knew that!
Veronica made herself believe.
But the other’s next words shattered her illusions.
“I am in no way connected to you. I hope Ms. Ambrosia have a good life. If you can.” Randy said with the latter part quite ambiguous.
Veronica gasped at this.
Randy didn’t mind her any further and turned to Damon.
“Mr. Castellano, I’ll go on my way first. Hoping to work with you very soon.” Randy held out a hand respectfully.
Damon nodded and shook the others hand.
Without looking at anyone in the room, Randy went out with a straight back and a bunch of secretaries in tow.
Veronica was left in front of everyone, frozen.
She can’t believe she was humiliated publicly and in front of these important and influential people!
Her face turned green as she trembled in shame and anger. Damon shook his head at all these foolish fiascos.
“And that’s it people. If you still have matters for me and if you still want your positions, better send me your report soon.” Damon announced with an authoritative voice.
The board members shook in fear, and then did they realize what happened.
They just offended and challenge the one and only Damon Castellano, and now that he didn’t succumb, and was still the head of the leading conglomerate, no one can guarantee what their fates will be.
The people instantly regretted that they colluded with these people against the boss. What were they thinking?!
Just as they wanted to curry favor with Damon once again, the main protagonist had already turned his back coldly and left with all his secretaries.
There was immediately a fuss inside the room.
“What is this?! Mr. Mike and Mr. George, I thought everything will fall to place. What happened?!” A member of the board can’t help but confront the people.
Mike, George and Andrei was still in a state of shock by what happened. They certainly did not see all of this coming!
Mike and Andrei looked at each other. In their heads, they both knew they don’t have any back up plan for this.
It was then that Veronica was awakened from being stunned. Her breath heightened and she rushed to Andrei anxiously.
“What happened?! What should we do?! How, how..” Even she was at a lost for words. No only was she humiliated, but their plan failed. How could they remedy this situation?! “Andrei Davids!” She shrieked in frustration as she stared anxiously at the man.
Andrei stood there with clenched hands. He looked back at the door where Damon left and his eyes reddened.
Bullshit!!!
Why can’t he beat that man! Everything was going perfect, but suddenly a trump card appeared. Looks like he really underestimated Damon Castellano.
Andrei shut his eyes problematically as his ears were full of prompting by the people around him, mostly, the Ambrosia.

Damon entered his office with light steps. As he sat back on his chair, he sighed in satisfaction. He then smirked as he remembered the funny expression of everyone in the room.
They really think they can beat me with what they had? They needed more than that to drag me down.
He turned to Gabe for instructions.
“Hand me the project with the Cole now. It needs to be started immediately. Even if I won this competition, there were still damages the company took. We need to rise back up and fix the situation.” Damon ordered.
He then looked at the documents in front of him and his eyes flashed evilly.
“Also, don’t forget to send me the names of the board. It’s time to choose who’ll stay.” The boss added as he smiled gently, but his eyes were ruthless.
