“I decline.” Damon’s voice rang across the conference room.
The people’s faces were taken aback. They didn’t expect that Damon would still hold on even with all the pressure and things they said.
“Damon! You are bankrupt!” Veronica finally can’t help but exclaim it.
“Only we can save you. Would you rather lose your company than having it acquire by us? If you be my husband, you’ll still be part owner of it.” Veronica persuaded him more. She looked straight at the man with a tantalizing gaze.
Seeing this made Damon sick. He lowered his head, and the moment he raised it back, a chuckle came out from his lips.
The low laugh from the composed and imposing man made the people in the room shiver. His laugh was full of sarcasm without any mirth in it.
“You underestimate me so much. I think it’s time to wake you up from your illusion.” Damon said with a ruthless voice.
“Listen everyone. I am the head of the Castellanos Group of companies.” His loud and commanding voice sounded.
His sharp eyes grazed every people in the room. And finally, it landed to Andrei and the Ambrosia’ party.
“And the likes of these wouldn’t bring me down.” Damon’s voice held disdain as he spitted out these words.
George could no longer keep his cool and glared at Damon. But Damon only looked coldly.
Who was he? He was Damon Castellano, who rose to the top at a young age. The young man who beat veterans and seniors in business. Getting to where he was right now, it was not a short and easy way.
So how could he not even handle a problem like this?
People really forgot where they stand and who they are barging with.
Damon gave a signal to Gabe, and his secretary immediately went out. Not long, he came back, but he was no longer alone.
A man was following Gabe and he went beside Damon.
Damon turned to him and gave him a professional smile. The two men shook hands with each other.
Everyone watched the scene with a stunned and questioning expression. But Veronica had it worst.
“Randy?” Veronica called out disdainfully.
She looked at the man she hadn’t seen for a while. What the hell could he be doing here? Thinking of the last conversation and meeting the two of them had, Veronica couldn’t help but stand on her seat. Her eyes darkened. She thought maybe he had come here to tattle tale about her. She and pointed at Randy with a disgusted expression.
“What is a lowly man like you, doing here? This is a meeting between the boards of the Castellanos Group of company!” Veronica exclaimed. She needed to remedy the situation in case it happens.
And anyway, no one would believe a mere employee as Randy. She needed to make her stand as the greater person here, in case the man does something unsightly.
But instead, Randy only gave her a glance, like it was expensive to even pay her any mind. Veronica gaped incredulously at him. How dare he?!
But contrary to what she planned, it was Damon who answered her, and a much not anticipated response.
“It is me who invited him here.” Damon answered and announced it at the same time to the whole board.
Many members furrowed their brows in confusion and the whisperings started once again. Mike looked at the situation in dissatisfaction.
“Damon, looks like it’s you who is inviting outsiders here.” He said in a disappointed and reprimanding voice.
Damon turned to his good old uncle and raised a brow at him.
“Uncle seemed to forget once again. I am the head of this company. Whoever I invite is no outsider, and what I do, is the company’s policy.” Damon answered in a professional voice, but his voice didn’t contain any mirth.
“People are looking down at my Castellano family, and I guess it’s time to get things right once and for all.” His voice rang once again.
“Mr. Randy here is a representative from my side.” Damon turned to Randy and nodded at him. Veronica, who was looking at this situation, was at a lost.
She looked incredulously at the man who was no more than a trash she threw away, yet now, he was standing imposingly in front, with an expensive suit.
What the hell is happening?
Within the whispering and questioning gaze from the people in the room, Randy stepped forward and announced something big.
“I am here to represent the Cole Group of company, which is now a new business partner of the Castellanos Group of company.” Randy’s voice rang.
The people’s whispers grew more, and it was accompanied by gasps.
How could they not be surprised? Cole Group of Companies is the leading and biggest conglomerate in China.
And what’s more, they are partnering with this country’s leading conglomerate as well, the Castellanos?
Two world level enterprises together, how astonishing could that be?
Among the chattering of the crowd, Randy turned to Damon and nodded at him.
“Yesterday, the partnership was reached. And the Cole Company would invest 20 billion dollars in a project together with the Castellanos Group of companies.” Randy dropped it like a bomb. Veronica couldn’t help her great shock. What?! How could this sudden turn of events fall like this?
And coming from this man, Randy? She can’t believe it!
“How, how could that be! You are nothing but a lowly employee! Are you deceiving us right now?!” Veronica exclaimed as she pointed her fingers at Randy.
This man was a nobody. A trash she threw away. A disgusting man who was a fool for her, who was willing to give his life for her.
And now he was talking high and mighty right now? How could she accept it! “You’re crazy!” She exclaimed again and laughed hysterically.
Randy finally turned to the woman who he cannot remember how he was fascinated by her so much.
He looked at her coldly, and finally, he smiled aloofly. And then he gave a shocking revelation. “Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Randy Cole, the heir of the Cole Group of Companies.”
