Alex took the devastated Anya back to her apartment. She had been quiet all the way, and even though Alex insisted to take her to the hospital, she only said she wanted to go home and rest. He only watched as Anya listlessly entered her apartment, and his heart clenched.
He felt very bad. Of how a woman as good and sweet as Anya could go through all of this. “Sir,” His secretary called behind him.
Alex straightened his back and his eyes darkened.
The happenings today was suspicious, so he wanted to investigate it. He had been in the crimes industry, and he could look at a situation clearly. He had a hunch that all of this was deliberate.
He turned back to face his secretary. “Have you gotten it?” He asked coldly.
“Yes, sir.” The secretary answered respectfully. Alex nodded expressionlessly and went to his car.
“To the office.” He said as he drove off, wanting for his men to follow him.
When he arrived at his office in this city, he directly sat in front of his desk and received the reports from his secretary’s hands.
His eyebrows immediately furrowed when he found out who’s the instigator. Veronica Ambrosia.
He clenched his jaw as he slammed the reports in the table.
Alex then took a deep breath and leaned on his chair. He pondered over this matter with a complicated feeling.
He really thought that if Anya was away from Damon, then she would be safe and happy. But now, even if she left and strived to have a peaceful life, the people in the capital still follows and disturb her peace.
He then remembered her state while in this city. He knew she was trying to start over and look at the beauty of this small and peaceful city, but deep down inside, her heart was in the bustling capital. Her friends, family and loved ones were there. She can’t deny the loneliness she feels, and Alex could clearly see that in the depths of her eyes.
The once happy and energetic woman was now like an empty shell.
Even though Alex wanted to keep her for himself, he missed the spirited and lively Anya. The one full of life, dreams, and happiness.
And he knew, he couldn’t be the one that could give it to her. In the end, what he wanted the most for her to be safe and happy.
He thought of the man that could give to her. Damon Castellano.
Alex remembered the men he found outside her shop this day. If he didn’t disrupt their mission, or if they found Anya or guarded her shop, could this unfortunate thing happen?
A strong sense of guilt washed over Alex’s heart, and finally he accepted the truth. He was not the man that could give love, safety and peace of mind to Anya.
And he knew just who that person is.
He closed his eyes tightly and opened it the next moment, looking determined. He grabbed his phone to type a message to that person.

Inside the Castellanos Group of companies building, every employee was very careful with their works and actions. Because for the past days, their Boss had been in a very bad mood. When they have a mistake, the consequences were merciless. So these times, everyone was on the edge.
In Damon’s office, he was in a very bad mood.
“So you’re telling me you still haven’t found her.” Damon said in a quiet voice, but the more quiet is voice is, the scarier it is.
“Sir, we are looking into a specific city, but still have no news.” One of his men said as he bowed his head covered in sweat.
Damon pursed his lips in impatience.
“Scram!” He exclaimed to them. Immediately, all the people inside left, leaving him alone.
He slammed his hand at his table as he felt very frustrated. He had been looking for days now, where is she?!
He was on the edge all this time for fear something might have happened to her. Damon clenched his fist as he shut his eyes tightly.
Suddenly, a tone he intended for his good friend rang. He specifically put this up to notify him immediately if he messages him. He had been contacting the man, but he seems preoccupied as he doesn’t reply to any of his message.
And now, it finally notified.
He grabbed his phone quickly to read his message.
And instantly, his body froze. His expression tightened as he abruptly stood from his seat. “Sir!” Gabe walked in directly with documents in his hands.
“A package from Sir Alex!” He announced as he quickly handed him the envelope. Damon clenched his jaw as he hurriedly went through it.
Alex had given a clean and efficient result to him. He gave Damon Anya’s location, but that’s not all.
Damon’s body exuded a raging aura as he was utterly furious.
Something happened to Anya and it was deliberately arranged! Alex also sent evidences and testimonies as proof against the instigator.
Damon’s face darkened as his deep and angry voice sounded loud. “To the Ambrosia!”

Damon was walking briskly with heavy and angry steps towards George Ambrosia office. He didn’t pay attention to the employees greeting him and trying to stop him. he had with him a bunch of black suited man, as he marched furiously towards the office of the president.
This time, he didn’t plan to let them off. He was personally going to express his rage in front of this despicable family!
He directly pushed open the door and saw George Ambrosia standing abruptly.
“Damon!” George called out anxiously. Before his door was opened, his secretary already called him in panic saying Damon was on his way to his office with a bunch of men.
“Where is Veronica Ambrosia!” Damon angrily exclaimed as he didn’t hide his rage from George.
George’ heart leaped at this sudden outburst.
“Damon, what is the meaning of this?!” George walked in front of Damon and faced him. Damon irritatedly frowned and he had no time to beat around the bush so he immediately slammed that the documents in George chest.
This caused George to stagger back as he held the documents.
“I’m here to continue the acquisition, and sue your criminal daughter!” Damon bellowed. This was his plan because this time, he won’t let them of!
George was stunned by Damon’s shocking words as he looked in to the documents. His eyes widened as he read accusations pointed at his daughter.
Mastermind of destruction of property and attempted rape?! He abruptly looked at Damon in defense.
“There must be a mistake! How could this be!” He stammered as he can’t believe his daughter would do this.
Damon only looked back at him coldly.
“I’ll send my lawyer in and you can defend in court. I’m here to tell you that I won’t let any of you off, and if something happens to Anya, I will make sure Veronica Ambrosia pay.” Damon said in a tight tone, danger and acid dripping in his voice.
George shook as he stared at the young man, but had an aura that could oppress and subdue people.
Damon gave the president of the Ambrosia a warning glance as he turned his back and leave. Having his presence and intense aura still being felt inside the room.
George was left inside stunned and frozen. He was having a hard time processing everything and he once looked at the evidences in his hands. All of them looks all concrete and hard to refute.
His shocked heart immediately changed into fury. That useless daughter of his!
.
.
“Veronica!” George angrily yelled and this time, his gentle and kind self was no where to be found.
His yell was so loud, that Veronica immediately heard it and went to him. “Dad-“ She was greeting but was cut off by a bunch of papers thrown at her.
“Explain that!” George bellowed. He found all of this ridiculous as he just recently asked the very same question to her. And his good daughter innocently defended herself. Was these all a lie? Veronica was shocked by this and took the papers to read. She froze when she discovered it was all about what she arranged for Anya.
She swallowed and looked up at her father in anxiousness. But she tried to collect her expression and showed an innocent face.
“That, what is this? I didn’t do this!” She still said. George heart fumed more, as his daughter still lied.
He had asked the source and legitimacy of this evidences, and it revealed it was from the leading investigation and security agency in the country.
He became furious and can’t believe his daughter can do all these things. And on top of that, she was still lying.
George couldn’t stop himself to raise his hand and give a crisp slap on Veronica’s face.
The strong force made Veronica fall to the ground, and her ears almost deaf from the ringing in her ears. Her cheeks burned as she held them in shock.
She looked up at her father with wide eyes. Her father, George Ambrosia, just slapped her!
