Anya woke up from the bright sunlight spilling from the windows. She rubbed her eyes as she pulled the sheets closer to her body. She opened her eyes and looked beside her. She saw Damon was already gone.
Just when she thought of this, the door of the room opened. Damon went in wearing comfortable clothes with a breakfast tray in his hand.
He saw she was already awake and he smiled. He placed the tray on the bed side table and sat on the edge of the bed.
“Good morning,” He greeted gently as she took out a small bouquet of flowers. “For you, beautiful.” He whispered as he bent down to place a kiss on her lips.
Anya’s heart warmed and felt full as she accepted the flowers. She looked up at him with beautiful blush on her cheeks with a soft smile.
“Thank you.”
She felt very happy and touched. Last night, she gave him her body. It was the most important aspect she could offer him. And as they made loved for the first time, he treated her like a treasure.
And now, the next morning, he still showered her with love. This was something Anya never experienced before.
Damon saw her beautiful smile and his heart stirred. Remembering their passionate night and her soft fragrant body, he can’t help but want to love her more. But he knew she was sore, and probably hungry, so he helped her sat up and placed the food in front of her.
“Eat first.” He gestured at the food and served it to Anya.
Anya nodded and wore the white shirt beside the bed. It was big, and seemed owned by Damon.
Damon looked at his woman wearing his shirt and felt a different sense of satisfaction. He then helped her with her food and served her while she ate.
Anya felt like she was treated by a queen, and can’t help but feel funny but sweet inside. “Are you not going to work?” She noted as she saw he was still wearing house clothes. “I’m taking a day off.” He said as he wiped the side of her lips for her.
“Really?” Anya asked happily but the she looked at him again worriedly. “But, how about your work?”
Damon smiled at her obvious happiness and concern.
“It’s fine. I want to spend this day with our family.” He answered her gently. Both of them smiled at each other with a loving expression.
And true to that, Damon really stayed home the whole day. He spent it bonding with Anya and Allen.
They played in the garden and played with Allen.
Anya and Damon sat on the mat, watching Allen run around and play with his bicycle around the garden.
Damon had his arms around Anya and she was leaning in his chest. Their position was very intimate and loving.
Anya never felt as happy before as she felt now. Being in the arms of the man she loved, and watching their son happily play, it was everything Anya hoped for.
A family of her own. And a happy and harmonious one.
“I hope it’s always like this.” The whispers of her heart came out her mouth. It was something she can’t help but feel, as she knew the consequences of being in a powerful family. That is, trouble also follows.
Damon heard Anya’s words and knew all her worries. He tightened his hold of her and whispered to her ears.
“Don’t worry, I’ll protect our family’s happiness. I’ll make sure of that.” He promised her intently. Anya turned to him to look at his face. His words touched her heart, but she also have a realization of her own.
That no matter what happens or trials that they may face, as long as she has them, she can withstand anything.
The hugged tightly, with thoughts all about protecting this little family of theirs.
After playing in the garden, the family baked together, and although it was messy, it was full of laughter.
The once cold and intimidating house become full of liveliness and cheers since Anya moved in. The little family was very happy and content.

The next day, Damon came to work in a good mood. He felt refreshed as his face was light and a smile can be seen in his eyes.
When he entered the elevator, Gabe informed him.
“Sir, a meeting was called regarding the acquisition.” He reported to Damon. Damon heard this and only hummed, and press the floor to the conference room.
When he arrived, the boards of director were already there. But he saw a familiar and unpleasant man.
He smirked inwardly as the unexpected situation, but he was not fazed. He went to the head seat and sat on it.
“Greetings everyone.” He greeted professionally and didn’t add anymore. It was like he was indirectly asking what this meeting was about.
George Ambrosia saw this and took the liberty to stand and speak.
“Well, I have called you all in this meeting to introduce to you, my benefactor.” He smiled proudly at the member of the board and gestured to the man beside him.
“This is Mr. Andrei Davids!” He announced gleefully.
Andrei smiled and nodded at George. He then faced the board members and flashed a smiled. “Greeting. I am a representative of Roberts’s corporation, and we are in support of the Ambrosia company.” Andrei informed every one.
There was a sudden rise of commotion. How could anyone not be startled.
The Roberts Corporation was one of the leading companies of the industry, second only to the Castellanos. And them doing this know, it was clear they were taking this advantage of the Castellanos crisis, to finally kicked the top conglomerate of it’s place.
Andrei smiled in satisfaction at the commotion of the board and the turned to Damon. He smiled meaningfully at him too.
The last time they met, it was in a different situation. Now, he was meeting him as a contender and Andrei felt very pleased.
Veronica who was also with them, turned towards Damon. She studied the other’s expression. Damon only sneered at this and stared squarely at Andrei.
Surrounded by the commotions of the board of directors, the boss, Damon Castellano, was still elegant and calm.
He only watched the farce before him with a light and at ease expression.

“He’s too calm!” Veronica exclaimed.
She was currently at Andrei’s office as they discussed their plans.
Earlier at the meeting, Veronica had been watching Damon closely, waiting for any change of his expression. But the man was still very calm and composed.
This made Veronica vigilant and anxious.
“Why is he still not fazed? Is this an act? Or does he have something on his sleeves?” Veronica can’t help but ask.
She was starting to become worried of their plans.
“It is you that needs to calm down.” Andrei’s words rang.
He leaned calmly on his chair, very different from the anxious Veronica. He turned to the woman as he explained in an at ease voice.
“He’s still calm because he has support on his way.” He said as his eyes glinted.
“And that’s Alex. But sadly, he is the only support Damon has now.” Andrei had an evil smile as he thought of this.
He turned to Veronica and informed her.
“Once Damon’s support is out, his last support and hope, his enemies all over the city will take action against them. This is the chance for many to get back at Damon, so they will surely step up. At that time, Damon will be in a corner, and would not be able to withstand it.” He added as a ruthlessness flashed in his gaze.
His eyes brightened in excitement. He can’t wait to see and witness that moment. Damon Castellano, just you wait.
